I hadn't been to a Jamba Juice in a couple of years, but when I got really sick and all I wanted was something fresh and real, this place came through. It really hasn't changed much but maybe a slightly more modern look but in the best way. This location by Barnes & Noble has been here forever and it's just reliable. One tip though: some of their smoothies are loaded with added sugar, so look for the ones made with actual fruit. Also, they'll throw in a free booster like vitamin C, immune support, that kind of thing , which is a sweet little bonus, especially when you're under the weather. By far the worst place to come to. It's a Saturday morning, they just opened and the employee is by himself. A man came inside DELIVERING what looks like a door dash order from Walmart. The delivery had at least 7 gallons of milk. And 6 bags of groceries. We've been here for over 30 minutes, waiting on two smoothies. The other employee just got here so I assume he's late since he clocked in and it's after 10:30 (they open at 10). The bathroom is also a mess. No toilet paper, no toilet seat covers, and the trash was over flowing. This Jamba Juice location is always my go-to since it's closer to where I live...but it's hit or miss on whether certain items are available. The 3 stars are for their delicious smoothies, bowls, and other tasty options...but be prepared for the long wait and/or not having what you want since they're not well stocked with certain food items. Haven't been to this location in awhile. Met Isabel and she was amazing - hands down! Greeted us with a beautiful smile! My acai bowl was possibly the best one I've had in either a long time or maybe ever! The store in itself can probably use an upgrade. It sort of looks like they are closing soon or it doesn't have the ambiance you're typically used to. My boyfriend has never been to jamba juice before and i brought him in. The employee who took our order seemed annoyed when I asked her to substitute the pineapple out of my drink since I am allergic to it. My boyfriend ordered a açaí peanut butter and nutella smoothie bowl. First they tried to serve it to him without the nutella so they took it back n just put it on top of the fruit. When we left we realized there was no peanut butter in it. We saw another employee place a bowl which looked like to have peanut butter on the counter and then take it away n place it with the one we got and said it was our order. I tried the smoothie bowl and it tasted like it had pineapple, which I'm not sure it was cross contaminated with, but I expect it coming from a smoothie place. I didn't think much of it, but it was until they called our order and said that they had ran out of the blue spirulina. not only could they have said something before while we were ordering, but they gave us basically a smoothie in a cup. My drink tasted great. The female cashier had an attitude when I presented her with a birthday coupon on my phone. She did not scan it like the Jamba app states. She asked for my phone # and proceeded to tell me that promotion is not on her computer. I had already showed her the VALID coupon on my phone. She didn't ask the supervisor to help redeem the coupon. She just stood there with an attitude, as if I'm bothering her. It would have been helpful if she simply did her job. Friendly staff but service can be slow. They were very sweet and answered my questions about ingredients. The veggie and fruit smoothies, which they can point out for you, are dairy free and water-based. I asked what was the "red juice" and they showed me the ingredients.... spinach, kale, beets and berries (can't remember which one). My hubby got the pomegranate one and I tried the berry one that had veggies. Pretty good! The ginger shots are spicy and the wheat grass are potent! This location is alright. Given the new ads on the wall, I really wanted to try the sky vanilla bowl but they were out of it. They also didn't have some toppings available. Thank goodness they had acai bowl and were able to substitute the granolas for almond slices. It was a short wait cause they made it quickly. Although the bowl presentation was great, the acai itself wasn't blended well. There were chunks of icy texture which I wasn't used to. I don't know what it is about this location. They always seem undermanned during their later than other store opening. It is usually only one overworked and way behind employee struggling to make the smoothies, take orders and take care of pick ups. One of the times the employee obviously came in sick as her eyes were extremely pink and puffy. This translates to long wait times and a complete inconvenience for those on their way to work. Not only did Jamba Juice shrink the bowls and raise the price, they are handing out substandard product. I have been a Jamba Juice loyalist for over 20 years. This morning my $10 Acai Bowl was nothing but a purple soup with very little fruit on top. The last time they only half filled the bowl!!! How is a smoothie not made right?!?! Well I had a bad experience and someone replied that I could get a free cloud coffee I went in and they said they no longer made them ( it's in there menu ) I went in another day got an egg thing it was still frozen . Have gone here twice now. Customer service is not the best. Would prefer to go to San Marcos now even though it is a little further since I haven't had the best customer service experience here. I am located in vista. Today, the same older black lady who took my order this time and last time, was rude when I presented a free any menu item gift card for my order. She first tried to tell me I couldn't use it. And then proceeded to question me when and where I got the gift card?! I thought that was pretty rude. I told her that 1) it had no expiration date and 2) I got it from corporate. She then proceeded to tell me that the reason was that they are a franchise and so they don't take some of corporates promotions - which is total BS since the card had no such fine print stipulations!! When I called her out on her attitude, she then started to say it wasn't an attitude issue. She said that it was cause she got "confused" because there was a bogo orange card that was out a while ago and she got confused with my yellow one (which I didn't buy because I felt she was trying to pacify me). I also asked her for a receipt so I could put my experience in at the Jamba Juice website. She put her coworkers employer number in (Patricia) - not even sure why. I was going to ask patty for the black lady's name but was afraid of any repercussions of that in my order so I didn't. One of my friends posted this amazing picture of this one smoothie thing on Instagram and knew I had to try it! It's called the Chunky Strawberry that is a smoothie with granola and fresh bananas and strawberries except this one is thicker more like yogurt consistency than an actually smoothie consistency. Needless to say instead of getting weird looks by the Jamba girls, they were trying to figure out how to make it thick! Then the girl who took my order said she knew what to do. It took some time, but stuff like this needed the attention to detail and she said she would also make it looks pretty! That she did! She lacks comprehension, she has an extremely poor attitude, and if she can display negative behavior and not be afraid of consequences in front of a manager, there's no help for this establishment. I understand that good employees are difficult to find but the people in this establishment do not care about their job. It's not just this lady. I asked for the franchise owner's contact information as well as corporate. Oddly, it could not be provided. The "general manager" tried to remedy my issue. Okay. I'm pretty pleased with this Jamba location. And, that's really unique. I honestly take my smoothie & acai bowl business seriously... LOL I love them. My husband is a big fan of the Razzmatazz (he loves how they make it at this location) & I love the pitaya bowl! The store is a little warm lol I don't think their AC works, but the employees are somewhat friendly & when it's not busy, you'll get your order in about 3-6 minutes. I really love the way they make my bowl - the color is bright (YUM), the flavor is really great, they put some fruit (I wish they'd put more tbh), w the addition of coconut, granola, & honey. I was running errands in a rush. Stopped in to get something quick. First, when I walked in I noticed how stagnant the air inside was and smelled so strongly stale like vitamin powder and feet. It was making me borderline queasy as I waited for my order. They have the "baked snacks" case empty with an empty paper cup inside upside down - super depressing looking - I'm guessing to reinforce that they no longer offer pretzels and bread? Unnecessary and sad. Not even snack bars to buy. Very bare and sad looking register front. The floors looked grimy. The girl that was working there seemed like she was almost annoyed to have to approach me and take my order. Her make up cakes eyes looked at me like - what? Like what do you want customer? The açaí bowl I ordered was literally the worst one I've ever had. How can you screw up an Aaci bowl? It's the most straightforward thing you can order anywhere. In not kidding, it was BARELY edible. The açaí tasted like frozen cranberries and vitamins mixed together into hard slush. So gross. The bananas were frozen hard and completely sour hard pucks that I had to spit out and remove from the bowl before I threw up on the bad flavor. The granola on top tasted like cardboard, vitamin powder and sugar. So nasty. Sadly I ended up throwing away the whole bowl even though Id only eaten a quarter of it - because it was so odd tasting and gross. This place has seriously gone DOWNHILL in flavor, atmosphere, and presentation. It just has this "hanging by a thread" depressing vibe to it that is super sad and unwelcoming.
