After we picked up our coffee and hubby's breakfast, we walked a couple blocks down to this cozy little bagel place. The place was clean and busy. The owners were so friendly. The male owner was sweet enough to bring me napkins when we were seated outside in the front patio. I ordered a breakfast egg, sausage, and cheese bagel sandwich and it was cooked perfectly. This is the 3rd time I've visited and each time I am equally disappointed. Food: the bagels are bland and doughy. Absolutely zero taste or personality. They just feel like a fat slice of wonder bread. The sandwiches are fine but nothing to write home about. Coffee is a gavina pimp that tastes burned and bitter. Service: the folks are busy and nice but the guy making food behind the counter puts nothing into his prep. Not sure how to put my finger in it but it takes the trust out of the equation for me. Parking is a nightmare behind the building and dicey in front. Overall I'd pass if possible. I'm done coming here. read more

We found this bagel shop in Oceanside and popped in for a quick breakfast. This place offers more than bagels, including bagel, breakfast sandwiches and other non-breakfast sandwich sandwiches. Of course I went in to try the salt bagel with the lox spread. We popped in on a Sunday morning just before 10 AM and it was not busy. The place is a tad small however they have indoor and outdoor seating. They offer a good variety of different bagel options as well as creamed cheese spreads. They also offer your standard coffee, juices, and they have a beverage refrigerator where you can grab a soda or energy drink. My daughter ordered a wheat bagel lox sandwich. Both of our bagels were a good size and had an amazing chewy texture which we both love. Personally, I think the lox spread could have been mixed a tad more, but that is only because I prefer the locks to be mixed into the cream cheese and have smaller pieces of it rather than large chunks. The staff was very friendly and attentive and patient while we decided what to order. Once you order, they will give you a number and we will deliver your food to your table. Overall, this is a great spot for a quick breakfast on the go. It is conveniently located around the corner from a four hour parking lot, which is walking distance to the Oceanside pier. If you are from New England/New York you will definitely love this spot. Prices are not the same as easy coast obviously but the atmosphere, and staff definitely make you feel at home. They have gluten free options but they do not prepare celiac friendly unless you ask. Cheese and egg on a plain bagel was $6 and their fancier bagel sandwiches are closer to $13. Really enjoyed the owners and the location is a bit tough to park if its busy but it's worth the walk I'll be coming back to try their other stuff read more

I realize this place is most famous and highly rated for its bagels and such. I stumbled in around 1PM for lunch and ordered a roast beef and swiss on sourdough (sliced is the only option) with all of their usual trimmings which include lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and sprouts (yay!). I think it had both mayo and mustard, but could have used more mayo on the bottom of the big pile of veggies. It was all fresh and tasty and my only complaint is that it was about 85% veggies with just three slices of roast beef--probably about three ounces. I think a sandwich should contain a big majority of the named ingredients. This is really a veggie sandwich with a few slices of beef and a slice of cheese. Not a good value at $14.00, but at least it includes chips or potato salad. I do appreciate their good health department inspection scores. read more

This place is a must whenever we are in the area or on the way to San Diego. Their bagels are super fresh and always taste amazing. I am obsessed with their everything bagel with their home made everything seasoning (not pictured). They even give you a generous side of the seasoning if you ask. I didn't eat all of mine last time and used the extra seasoning in some scrambled eggs and it was divine! The staff is so kind and man they are fast. The service is so fast I usually can't just bite into my bagel sandwich bc it's piping hot. My boyfriend loves their jalapeño bagels the most.
