This is the local hang out for parents to get drunk while their babies, toddlers and rude children run amok in the street and bike/walking trail. A one year old wandered away down the trail and no one noticed because they were drunker than a skunk. One group of 6 year old boys was destroying a nearby residents fence with their scooter. After an hour or two of getting blasted, the unskilled parents pile their unfortunate kids into a vehicle and off they go-driving drunk home! This is not a cozy beach cafe at all. I have always wanted to check out this local spot. It is a light tight when you first walk in as far as space is concerned. It was a little unclear who was in line and what was going on. I was surprised to see the employees all seemed to be males too which seems different since usually at Coffee Shops it is a mix of genders. Anyways, the prices for the coffee were very affordable which I appreciated! They were out of creamer it seemed, the barista noticed me struggling with the container of creamer. He asked if it was empty and I said yes, so he refilled the container. I would have loved for him to just add the cream to my drink and then re-fill the container. My wife and I stopped in for a coffee on our first day of a 6 day vacation. We went back everyday until we flew home. The Chai Latte is excellent. Great service from all. Loved they called most of the customers who walked in by name when they approached the counter. Pricing is awesome, too. We pay more in Indiana than here on the beach. 10/10 would recommend. Lovely staff and environment and would like to continue to support local small business, but the coffee is such a bummer. Owning that I'm a coffee snob. I'm open to variation in flavor and strength - and more than happy with strong coffee - however the flavor of this coffee is akin to gasoline in potency and bitterness; from the iced coffee to espresso drinks, meaning the iced coffee vs the latte had a similar burnt-like bitterness. Even with milk added and sugar (which I do not usually do but resorted to) the flavor was worse than gas station coffee in all honesty. Also got a matcha, which automatically comes sweetened to the level of a cupcake unless you state otherwise apparently. Breakfast Sammy with English muffin was meh. Albeit, no cheese or avo on it, just tasted dry, plain and rubbery, even with bacon. Gave up on the items after trying to consume them. Bummer of a spend. read more

But I love coffee and continue to find new places to try, and my first experience here the food/coffee was good but the customer service was alright. No one greets you, they just stand and stare at you until you order. I came in a second time to grab a coffee before going on a beach walk, there were a few people there and the two ladies behind the counter were talking to two gentlemen across the way. I took a second to review the menu (no one welcomed me in or acknowledged I was there) before I stood in front of the register to indicate that I was ready to order. They continued to talk to the men behind me, looked past me and didn't acknowledge me whatsoever. I continued to stare and stand there while they glanced up at the gentlemen behind me numerous times. I was a bit surprised- I thought maybe they were closed but when you maps their spot, it showed they are open until 8pm. I came in around 11am. I stood there for about 3-4 minutes in front of the register with no acknowledgement. So I left. Maybe it wasn't that long, but it felt like an eternity. That's how uncomfortable it was. It's really unfortunate that this is what customer service has come to. After reading the other reviews, a lot of good reviews before covid but it seems to be a trend at this place- coffee/food is great and customer service is not. I'm not asking for them to make small talk or be my bestie, but acknowledging I exist and let me know you're closed if that is the case before I stand there all day is just being considerate. This spot was next to the VRBO that I checked out for the weekend. It's a small spot but has lots of stuff to offer. They have a Tv that was playing sports. Bar seating for about 4, couple tables and some outdoor seating as well. For drinks, they have several coffee drinks and also a couple beers on tap.
