    Vegetable egg white omelette

No frills, order as you walk up - serve yourself water place with outdoor and indoor seating. Breakfast is traditional American / Mexican fare. Great for before or after the beach.

Never been to this location of swami's, worth a visit. Order at the counter and then the food runner will find you by your table number. Outdoor seating for people watching (and motorcycle engines) or indoor for the classic swamis wood and green decor. We were able to get a table right away for early Sunday lunch. Portions are huge, and menu is the same good combo of CA coastal/fresh Mexican food.

Upon walking up to the café, I was immediately drawn in by the doors being open and hearing hay, upbeat music. Signage near the entrance directed café customers to look at the menu, place their order at the counter then take a seat. As I looked at the menu, I appreciated the clear designation between vegetarian and vegan menu items. Vegan food choices includes a clearly marked tofu stir fry with vegetables and although they offer a Impossible Burger with vegan cheese, it is list as vegetarian since it is on a brioche bun which probably contains egg and/dairy. After looking at the paper menu as well as the digital board inside the restaurant, I decided to get a specialty item of Vegan Fysh Tacos an a side order of yam/sweet potato fries. When my vegan fysh tacos arrived, I was impressed by the food presentation. While the tacos were delicious and flavorful, the brown rice and black beans that accompanied the tacos were bland, The yam/sweet potato fries were the perfect combination of sweet and crunchy. Although I don't visit Oceanside often, if I ever find myself visiting the area again, I would definitely stop by to try their tofu stir fry with vegetables to compare it to the vegan fysh tacos.

Metal Bristle in ABC Burger that had pierced my cheek while eating.

Got take-out today (5/9/2026). There was a metal bristle in my ABC Burger that pierced my cheek while eating and caused some bleeding. This is super dangerous. NEVER use a metal brush to clean a grill or things like this happen. I love Swamis and have been coming here for years, but this really disappointed me.

Greek Omelette and Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

This spot seemed to have a fairly straightforward cafe breakfast/brunch menu and I liked that they offered a good variety of options. I had the Greek Omelette, which was very good - fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables were loaded inside of the omelette making it a hearty meal. I also shared the special Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, which were also very good...it really had the flavor of cinnamon rolls in the form of a pancake...it was topped with a cream cheese frosting syrup that was perfectly sweet and tart. The space is big enough to accommodate a good amount of people. I was here on a Monday morning and we didn't have to wait at all, but I'd imagine a wait on a Saturday or Sunday morning. I'd visit again if I were in the area.

One of the best places to have breakfast in Oceanside! Swami's has an amazing atmosphere! Greeted with smiles! Menus are at the door and above the register. Ordering is done before you find a place to sit. It's open seating- inside and outside. There are so many amazing options to choose from. I chose the French toast with fresh strawberries, and let me tell you that my mouth exploded with so many delicious flavors. And I also added a side of bacon that was so crispy and not greasy at all. And to top it all off, I had an order of orange juice. Have you ever had fresh orange juice in your life? Let me tell you that this is by far the freshest orange juice I've ever had in my entire life. Don't trust me then go try it out. You have got to come down to Oceanside and visit this gem! I promise you'll leave full and happy.

This is such a cozy weekend go-to for us. They've got something for everyone, mimosa flights for me, a giant chocolate chip pancake for my kiddo, and lighter options when I'm trying to behave. The corned beef hash is a fave, and I usually stick to the Benedict because it never lets me down (the beef special I tried was a little chewy). It does get busy in the mornings, and you order at the counter with self-serve drinks, but that's part of the charm. Swami's is definitely staying in our regular rotation.

Fantastic service with a friendly, welcoming staff. The portions are generous, and everything ordered looked amazing. This is a great spot for all ages. I honestly can't think of a single negative aspect -- if I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Also love the serve yourself coffee bar! A lot of different varieties, complete with sweetener and creamer (non-dairy options included)

The fries here were really good and so was the burger. Not much on the menu on the cheap side tho. I definitely feel that this place is overpriced for what it is. Staff were friendly but not the most helpful. Place is spacious and has plenty of seating inside.

Strawberry pancake with eggs and bacon

First time here and enjoyed it. Food was great and the wait wasn't too bad either. Our food came out at an adequate time. I will definitely be back. I ordered strawberry banana pancakes with a side of eggs and bacon. We had the mimosa flights which was delicious too. Boys ordered the ranchero steak and the meat was juicy, flavorful, and tender.

    Fish Taco Combination

Very wide open space that gives off good beach town vibes! The cashiers up front are patient and really polite, giving some tips and pointers to their pretty decent sized menu. I was skeptical in ordering grilled mahi tacos as anywhere else I order usually comes pretty dry, but I have to say I was impressed and the fish was soft and had a lot of flavor! It was paired well with the rest of the taco and sides. The chips were a little overcooked for my liking, none the less it's a cool place to get out and hit on a sunny weekend day!

The owner took our order and was incredibly friendly, helpful, and informative. He described all of the dishes and you can tell he genuinely loves his resturant and what he's doing there. At one point he mentioned that he's proud of the portions because he thinks a lot of vegan resturants tend to skimp a little. He was absolutely right to be proud. I had the French Dip and it was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had. The stek was sliced thin and really tasty, the cheze in the sandwich was perfectly gooey (which is rare for plant based cheze), and the aujus was the real star. I've honestly had nothing like it before. It was also a really hearty portion and super filling. My wife had the Jambi sandwich -- a hash brown wafflle with fried chikun, sunflower swiss, seitan bakon between two pieces of french toast -- plus chili fries on the side. The sandwich itself was impressively big and definitely lived up to the owner's point about portions. We've both been vegan for about 10 years and always appreciate finding places doing creative food like this. We live about an hour and a half away, but we're already figuring out when we can make the trek back for another visit.

This time around, it's just the family for Mother's Day. Since I know my food, the table let me order. I loved my blt. The two Caesar salads for the table disappeared quickly because their dressing is unbelievable! Let's see .... what didn't we eat is probably smarter than what did we eat. Beet ketchup, The C Word (braised cabbage), a couple of cronic sushi rolls, and there was a special lemon creme brûlée. Everyone enjoyed everything they ate, including my almost 3 year old grandson (they brought out a specially sliced fruit bowl for him). They offered many choices for kids, but he just wanted fruit. Hope you had as wonderful a Mother's Day as I did. Yes. We appreciated eating healthy and not walking away stuffed but instead satisfied. They were selling plants. I was soooo excited about the Philly connection, as I'm very familiar with cheesesteaks having lived near Philly in a past life. Well, I was sorely disappointed. We were told that the bread is flown in daily from Philly. Well, I don't know where it's coming from because it's definitely not the same bread as what they normally use there. The sandwich and meat were dry and flavorless. Totally underwhelming unfortunately. So then we saw that they made key lime pie there too! Again, I was SUPER excited because key lime pie is my favorite dessert of all time. And again...disappointment. I took one glance and saw that it was light green in color and knew I was gonna be mad. Yall, Key lime pie is yellow. You should NEVER add food coloring. That's just gross and inaccurate. The texture and flavor were also off. Texturally it was way too thick and dense, which would have been fine if it actually tasted like key lime. But it was severely lacking in that tart key lime flavor that it's known for. I'd definitely go back because of the service and vibe. But I'll maybe try a burger and the cheesecake instead.

My fiancée & I had seen Parlor Doughnuts numerous times after the Oceanside Sunset Market. & every single 1 of those times, we were already too full from grazing at all the food stands by then to give it a try. So on a Saturday afternoon, when we just happened to be nearby, we popped in for some impulse buy doughnuts. With a staggering variety of delicious looking toppings/ flavors, the possibilities looked enticingly intriguing. Staff behind the counter was friendly attentive, & helpful. Although there are some savory options available, which seemed to me like pizza toppings on doughnuts, we stuck with sweet: maple bacon & bourbon caramel. Tried & true flavor combinations, both. But the dough, whoa. For starters, the 2 doughnuts we got didn't have holes. That actually makes a difference in how the doughnut cooks. Secondly, the dough ate more like bread dough than a doughnut. Doughnuts have a hole for a reason. You see, it's physics, son. When you consider how thermodynamics affects an oblate spheroid vs. a toroidal sphere, it becomes evident that a doughnut without a hole will not cook evenly throughout inside. In fact, this was specifically proven on MasterChef Canada Season 8, Episode 8 during a doughnut pressure test. In that episode, Andres forgot to put holes in his doughnuts & they were undercooked in the center. Hey, I did start this review with admitting I'm a nerd who watches too many cooking competition shows. Uniform doneness aside, there was also the breadiness. If I'd been told these doughnuts were some kind of new take on Pan Dulce, maybe I would've liked them more. But given the expectation of a doughnut, what I tried at Parlor Doughnuts just wasn't it. The staff was great, & the toppings were fine. But with the word "dough" literally in the name of the product, to come up short there leaves something to be desired.
