The service was good enough...polite waitress but not super knowledgeable regarding the menu- We asked a few questions to help us figure out what we wanted to order - she had to keep going to the back to get answers (she didn't indicate she was new or in training so but sure about that). As for the ambience, this spot is a bit unusual in that it appears like it was an office or some other type of space - definitely not a restaurant (felt more like a make-shift restaurant). Regarding the food, I ordered the breakfast burger, she ordered the Ranchero Eggs. In her words, the her dish was "okay" - when you're hungry, virtually anything will do, right? LOL My burger was a BIG bummer - overcooked (asked for medium and got medium-well+ AND they forgot the fried egg for my BREAKFAST BURGER. They brought a fried egg out on a separate plate after I was about half-way through eating it - nice gesture but sort of a too little, too late kinda thing. Nice, quiet little place (at least for breakfast/brunch hours). We ordered the caprese omelette with a side of refried beans and the smoked salmon Benedict. Both were good meals, nothing special but cooked well and came out hot. The refried beans tasted fresh and were definitely solid! Prices weren't too high for the food as well. Stopped on our way out of the city because we wanted a hearty breakfast. Tables were wobbly and sticky. Ordered coffee, horrible. Ordered the smoked salmon avocado toast. It was good but the salmon was very fishy, kids got chicken nuggets and fries, those were good. Fries seasoned well and nuggets crunchy. Ordered a side of hashbrowns, seasoned well, like the fries, good. Ordered plain pancakes.... They came out very dark, looked like something you get from a freezer section in a box. Very flat, heavy on the artificial sugar side, dusted with powdered sugar. I swear they were frozen pancakes... my husband ordered a sandwhich melt, looked like a giant scramble of eggs between toast and no melty cheese. Heavy on the house sauce. First time here , figured we would try it since we were in the area . Walked in and it's fairly a basic setup . Nothing interesting about the dinning area , it did appear clean and tidy . The good : Service was decent , the server was friendly but looked like there was only one server on hand so drinks took a little bit to get . Now on to the bad : Drinks came out , I suggest you don't order the Chai brûlée .. it looked much better than it tastes and I usually love Chai drinks . The other drink the caramel one was better but no wow factor there either. Received hash browns , eggs, bacon and Nutella French toast . The only thing hot was the eggs. The Nutella French toast did not taste fresh . It was more like the frozen French toast you buy at the store , and for the amount it costs, I could do better at home . The ugly : my hash browns had a hair in them, and not just on top, like really meshed into them . I didn't even take a bite , at this point after one bite of egg and one bite of French toast and hairy hash browns we were ready to leave . The server was the best part of this restaurant, he apologized and only charged us for our drinks . Super nice , yes I left him a tip for his service , definitely not for the food . Tip to our server : your a good server , you should change jobs where the taste of food reflects your efforts . We will not be back and I do not recommend this place to eat . Highlights: Quaint mom & pop vibe breakfast spot. Food is always good and their iced specialty coffees are very refreshing. Service can definitely be on the slow side (most of the time). I wouldn't recommend going within 90 mins of them closing either as the focus shifts to closing rather than service. For dog owners, they have a little patio area where you can bring the pup along if you would like. Usually they have speakers playing some music to enjoy while you wait and eat. We go back because of the food, the coffees, and the location. The speed of service could use some coaching, but this is a great spot if you're not pressed for time. read more

I wanted a place where I didn't have to wait in a long line on a Sunday afternoon and I noticed that this place was pretty empty at 12:30 so I took my mother here for brunch. Upon arrival, they were already shutting down the restaurant even though it closes at two. I would give the food a five star. The menu is not like any other menu and the food is divine. Now the service was really really bad. My mother ordered a coffee and the mug it came in still had bright red lipstick from the last customer. no one ever came back to the table so I ended up eventually finding Someone. They then apologized and returned with a clean mug but the coffee was barely warm. We got our food and I had to flag somebody down to get a refill on water and tell them about the coffee. She was so sweet and brought a refill of water and walked away. We flagged them down the third time and she said oh I'm sorry we're all out. At thistime it was 1 15 and they close at 2 so I don't know what the rush was. We asked her if we could have the coffee taken off the bill because she never got to drink the coffee. The waitress was super sweet and said yes I'm truly understanding so we get the bill and there is a coffee. Charge. No one ever comes back to check on you so once again we had to flag her down. I got the breakfast burrito with chorizo, and it is arguably one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. I couldn't eat all of it and took the other half home to reheat in an air fryer, and it is just as good eight hours later. Highly recommend that. it was our first time so it's the only thing I have tried, but if I go back, it's gonna be hard to choose something else. The reasons I rated it a four, it's because both the coffee I had in the fries I had were not good. The fries were OK, but definitely nothing to get excited about. I got an iced coffee and I wanted the caramel one, but they were out. So I got vanilla, but I could only have a few sips and I ended up not drinking the rest of it. I don't know if that's just how the coffee tastes there... But it seemed like it was watered down or old coffee or something. It was undrinkable, which was definitely frustrating considering we went there for breakfast. I don't live in the area, but if I'm back there again, I'd probably go back because if the rest of the menu is anything like the burrito, then it's definitely worth coming again. read more

Came here after a particularly bad morning where the power went out as I was making breakfast. The staff was so kind and greeted me with a special of the day, which was a delicious soup. Visited this place since I drive by it almost 1-2X per week. I really wanted to like this place, as the parking is really easy and the location in an easy to enter shopping center, but sadly I left feeling pretty disappointed with the experience. Went on a Saturday morning in mid May 2024 around 10am and the wait time was a reasonable 10 minutes. After being seated and placing our orders, the coffee arrived right away which was very nice. However this is unfortunately where the visit stopped being enjoyable. The first thing we noticed was that the table wasn't fully wiped down before we were sat. Secondly, while the coffee was good it took far too long to be noticed for any refills. The gentleman who was our server seemed to be overbooked that morning, as many of the staff were all over the place. While I certainly understand and don't fault the staff for things such as that, it was a bit awkward and painful at times as we noticed more than 1 table of people had a hard time getting noticed by their servers. In fact we had to flag down our server to help another table which had been trying for over 5 minutes to get noticed for any type of support. The food arrived after 15 minutes. We ordered a "create your own omelette" and a meat lovers omelette, as both are good ways to test the menu and the cooking. The meat lovers omelette was missing the "house creamy sauce on top" and overall was very bland. The meat servings were very small, both in portion and overall size. They were similar in size to cheerios, if that helps. Plus, I'm not sure how else to describe it other than the fact that the omelette itself wasn't really an omelette. It was just cooked meat with a bit of spinach and egg "wrapped" around but they felt and came out more like separate items than one solid piece. The meat didn't appear to be held or cooked into the egg at all, and I don't believe there was any cheese cooked into it either. The meat was at least good, but, overall was not happy with the meal. The custom omelette itself did not have any of those issues, but overall it also too was very bland and we did not finish it. As others noted, the prices here are a bit higher than the average. There are cheaper options with better food and service elsewhere in Oside and Vista. I feel like this place has the potential to be very good for this part of the community. There's just enough personality with the decorations which make it feel comfortable. I also read they'll be opening another location, so that's hopeful that their quality isn't overall as bad as my experience was and this was just an overall lackluster visit. I really hoped to have liked this place, but, I don't think I'll return again. There are other options in Oceanside which don't have these types of issues. read more
