And we can see that a large number of patrons are players from this weekend's tournmament. Food is served after orders taken. I came with a party of 8 and was sat down immediately. The interior is very spacious and has an outdoor seating to eat. Heard good things about this restaurant wanted to try it. The food was amazing. Upon walking in was immediately greeted. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Not good. English muffin had weird sweet taste that clashed in a bad way with savory duck and disappointing hollandaise. I finally determined the sweet was coming from the vinegarette on the mixed greens and soaking into everything else. Hash brown were inedible for me. Ordered "crispy". Got "yucky". (Found myself thinking about the caramelized waffle and egg combo I had at Denny's the weekend before lol) But what really got me bummed out was it was 85 degrees outside and I asked for a cup of water for my dog. Other humans were getting to-go cups for their water and juice so I figured it was a normal ask. They told me they didn't have any. I said a plastic cup would be fine even though it's narrow, my dog can easily drink out of it. I didn't realize but they charged me 50 cents for her cup. I eat all around North County and I've never been charged for this. I ate the first one and it was just okay. I had been fasting for over 12 hours for a blood test and was starving. The second one had a hair in it. I just cut the piece off and decided not to make a fuss. My mother's order came with fries which I had some and it was also tepid. The side options are kind of lame. In fairness, our server was not too bad. Needless to say, will not be eating here again. I wish I had taken the few extra minutes to drive to Beach Break Cafe or Don's Country Kitchen.
