Got the stuffed hash browns as they were recommended by the waiter. Unfortunately, they weren't that good I felt. Everything was good by itself, but I felt together it was kind of mushy. The flavors just didn't go well together for me. It was hash browns, sausage, egg, and gravy. The place is small and has inside and outside seating. The staff are all friendly there

Don's is great!!! If you're looking for the best breakfast in Carlsbad, Don's is it! It's delicious, affordable, and quick. What's even better is Don's is family owned. It's small so we usually sit outside for more space plus when we're in Carlsbad we're there to enjoy the weather. Don's serves home style breakfast. The menu has just about everything, but I always get the Eggs Benedict Carlsbad. It comes with poached eggs and avocado topped with homemade hollandaise sauce that's delicious. The dish comes with potatoes. I like the home style potatoes with the onion, peppers, and seasoning, Yum! Our kids love their Pancakes and French Toast. Don's is a must!

First time taking my Mom to Don's and she was more than happy with the food and the service! We ordered Bea's Benedict and Chorizo Omelette. My mom was very impressed and was grateful for Rachel's quick service. We had an excellent experience and my Mom said she will be back!!

Vacationing here, and really wanted chocolate chip pancakes for my birthday...Don's were fabulous, fluffy and flavorful! My friend got the stuffed hash browns, which were MARVELOUS! If I lived locally, I would be here all the time!

Another Excellent Meal at Don's Country Kitchen in Carlsbad. I went outside of the box this time and got the Classic Stuffed Hash Browns, with Sausage, Cheddar and Onions, topped with two Fried Eggs, and a side of Biscuits and Pork Sausage Gravy. Damn! Too much food, but too good to stop eating. A Carlsbad institution since the early 80's, Don's Country Kitchen is a must.

Awesome little no frills cafe located right in the heart of carlsbad village. This place has counter service, outside seating and a little seating area inside. Pretty much diner style food that satisfies your breakfast or lunch craving. My go-tos are the omelettes.

Food was good, pricey for what it is. Our server was okay, she greeted everyone else but barely came to check on us or crack a smile

Cute basic diner. Nothing luxurious. The bacon, hash browns and pancakes were great and the food came out super fast.

Let me start off by saying I initially thought Burger Lounge would be great but heading to the closest In N Out would be just as good and at a fraction of the cost. Luckily for me, my little one refused my attempted coaxing. Parking was a breeze given the fact that the lot is massive- perfect for the neighboring businesses and the busy foot traffic coming and going. Our party of three were immediately greeting with a smiling young gentleman standing behind the register. At first glace, the restaurant was massive is size, very spacious, modern, and 100% well kept/tidy. Seating and decor was simple enough but still had a classiness to it. We placed our order with the smiling gentleman [whom I learned was ANDREW]. Dinner consisted of: *KIDS MEAL: Cheeseburger with onions, lettuce, and EXTRA pickles *BACON BLEU BURGER *TRUFFLE-MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER *LARGE HALF & HALF [ tallow fried onion rings + fries] *DRINK Food: I kid you not, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! The order was made beautifully- presented well and cooked flawlessly. A+ for taste and presentation, which I totally didn't expect. Brioche buns were fluffy yet charred just enough on the grill to house all of the ingredients. The patties were flavorful and juicy. The goodness didn't stop there- BD mentioned Burger Lounge's onion rings being the BEST he's ever had!! Quality is absolutely undeniable. Above all, this burger joint runs smoothly thanks to the incredible staff. Each and every person we encountered was kind, polite, and so very eager to help with whatever requests. The only complaint I had was the terrible internet connection. Come here expecting to put your phones/tablets down even if you don't want to. LMAO. 5/5 stars but I'd easily give them so much more. Dinner was absolutely delicious and I am so sad that this particular Burger Lounge is soooo soooo far from home. I will 100% make it a habit to stop by whenever I happen to be in the area- THEY ARE TRULY THAT DAMN GOOD!!

It was easy peasy. It's located in the beautiful Bressi ranch area. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and the restaurant is loungey and cozy at the same time. Not too loungey to be kid inappropriate and not too cozy either. Celebrated a birthday dinner and was happy to see they offered delicious desserts such as the peanut butter cake which was the fav of the table. They have an extensive but not overwhelming menu. They do have plenty of drink offerings including mocktails, whiskey , soda, and wine. Love the variety of burgers they have. We ordered different types and were able to cut into quarters to share. The fav of the table was the fig but I still root and hold it down for the bacon jalapeño. I love the mixture of sweet and savory. Appetizers that were delicious include the Korean frachos and Brussel sprouts. Will definitely return for family and or date night, they have a kids menu, and they also have turf out front for the kids to play.

I honestly couldn't believe we'd found a spot like that so close to our hotel. So good that we went there BOTH nights around 9 or 10pm when we were in town. I don't really enjoy regular bar drinks and wasn't that excited to go to Eureka until I sat down and looked at the drink menu. This is my kind of place....plus the food (appetizers & desserts) were great too. Items we tried were fried pickles, onion rings, dry-rub wings, cheesecake, turtle pie and carrot cake. The fried pickles were probably the best I've had. Crisp and delicious batter. The Eureka dry rub is definitely the way to go. I still crave them! Desserts were great too but I was buzzed eating them back at the hotel so you know..... Drinks we tried: Pineapple Tequila Sour, Headhunter King and Wild Child. The first night I ordered and LOVED the Pineapple Tequila Sour and my husband ordered the Headhunter King which he didn't like at all so guess what? I drank it and enjoyed it and he had a spiced rum and coke. LOL The second night I had a couple of Wild Childs. OMG, they are amazing. I wish I could find that drink here in Tucson. My boring husband had more rum & cokes, The environment at Eureka is great. We did sit at the bar both nights and that bar is hoppin'! I like that there is so much outdoor space too which allows families to enjoy themselves and let the kids have room to have fun. Eureka is a great spot and I highly recommend it. The music was blasting and it was rather dark inside with an interesting crowd. There is a chill vibe here with a small bar area that caters to just a few locals who brought their dogs and even their babies. I could tell that everyone knew each other. When I ordered, Colin tried to upsell me on some chicken nuggets in addition to the burger and fries that I requested. He was a cool guy, but that was a first for me in a burger joint as a native San Diego. Then, I asked for the meal to be packaged to go, and we had some discussion about it, so I was surprised when it was delivered on a tray for here. I got the sense that business was slow here, and that he was trying to bring in some more business. Now for the food... The Classic Hut Burger was more like a smashburger (1/4"), which was a dissapointment. If I would have known that the burger patty would be so small, then I would have ordered the double burger. The fries were similar to shoestring fries, and they were a bit over salted for my taste. Overall, the food was good, but nothing special... This was a one-time visit, but I'm sure if I lived in Encinitas, then I would stop by for a beer and those chicken nuggets that they raved about. This place has so much potential, but it's going to take some serious dedication to making it a special visit for each and every one of their customers, not just the people who live around the corner.

I was soooo excited about the Philly connection, as I'm very familiar with cheesesteaks having lived near Philly in a past life. Well, I was sorely disappointed. We were told that the bread is flown in daily from Philly. Well, I don't know where it's coming from because it's definitely not the same bread as what they normally use there. The sandwich and meat were dry and flavorless. Totally underwhelming unfortunately. So then we saw that they made key lime pie there too! Again, I was SUPER excited because key lime pie is my favorite dessert of all time. And again...disappointment. I took one glance and saw that it was light green in color and knew I was gonna be mad. Yall, Key lime pie is yellow. You should NEVER add food coloring. That's just gross and inaccurate. The texture and flavor were also off. Texturally it was way too thick and dense, which would have been fine if it actually tasted like key lime. But it was severely lacking in that tart key lime flavor that it's known for. I'd definitely go back because of the service and vibe. But I'll maybe try a burger and the cheesecake instead.
