I should have been more cautious about the food in once I saw how busy they were. I ordered a bone in ribeye that had that "been in the fridge/freezer too long with its multicolored sheen" some steaks get. The steak was too chewy for that cut of meat also. It just didn't taste right, and I should know, I have cooked too many ribeyes to know when one has been frozen and thawed too quickly in a restaurant. For almost 40 bucks, I still ate it hoping my next day would be ok. The service was a really good pace and the dinner rolls were delicious. The rest of my family didn't have issues the next day, but I had the runs for four hours. That's primarily why I am giving such a low rating. Really easy to get seated for early dinners. Staff members are always helpful and kind too! Luckily, I've always had fantastic service with most servers being genuinely happy too. My go to is some variation of grilled or crusted chicken and a blooming onion for an app. The blooming onion is always fried to perfection and their dipping sauce is just the cherry on top. Early Bird Dinner Review. We were rushing to make it in by 5:30! I made a "reservation" =getting on the waiting list online on the road. A table was available immediately but we were still 15 minutes out. Walked into a pretty busy waiting area but they honored our spot and got seated right away at 5:20. Not that I'm an expert, but this place feels like a Texas BBQ joint. We were led to our table with a bag of peanuts and a small tin for the shells, which I thought was very cool. Once seated, we were greeted by our server Jennifer, who is just wonderful. But more about that later. We ordered a hand cut sirloin for our picky teen, with steak fries and seasoned rice. For us, we shared a prime rib which was tender and flavorful, and went well with the creamy horseradish. The only drawback was the large amount of fat (~35-40%). For the sides I ordered steak fries crispy which was really good, and my wife loved her baked potato. The decor was good ambience was very nice. The prime rib was a little too fatty for my tastes, good horseradish would have helped. My wife liked the meaty pieces I cut for her, but she's more of a prime rib fan than I am. I was pretty jazzed to eat at Texas Roadhouse. The novelty of it all, and big portions was pretty fun. To start off, they give you complimentary roasted peanuts and warm bread with cinnamon butter. We shared a number of items. My husband ordered a two-item BBQ plate and I think he enjoyed it. My daughter and I shared the Kids ribs and mashed potatoes, which was a hefty portion for kids, as well as a chicken cesar salad, which was loaded with chicken and cheese. We actually came as part of a big group and they handled split checks, lots of drinks, very well. I ordered the NY steak because I thought it would be like what we normally get but they cut all the fat parts off the edges and my fave tendon part so my steak was pretty dry. It's loud here. They play country music. It's the best spot for a steak without having to get all gussied up. Using the app to join the waitlist during peak times is best. If dining right when they open, 3pm on weekdays, seating happens fairly quickly without waitlist. A basket of bread with honey cinnamon butter plus bag of peanuts with bucket for discards accompanies you at your table. Dallas Filet, medium rare, is the item I order most of the time but, recently, I discovered a new favorite, the Herb Crusted Chicken. It's a nice change up when I'm not wanting steak. There's so much flavor going on. I alternate between those two entrees. Mashed Potatoes, loaded, and a salad are the usual sides though I've had all of them at some point. Side salad comes with egg but it can be removed upon request. Servers may ask if you want it or not. My husband usually orders a medium rare Ft Worth Ribeye but today he went with Pulled Pork Dinner. We were both pretty full early into our main meal. Both of us finished my lunch (Early Dinner) while saving most of his for dinner. We'd split pulled pork later along with an extra side ordered. Service is consistent. They routinely check in throughout your visit. It gets pretty busy during the evenings and definitely on the weekend. We'll today that changed!! The wait was short. I walked in and was seated within 10 minutes. Clean restroom and a Busy atmosphere. Very full of life. He let it nip at a woman's hand and the photo I shared is after it lunged into the window causing the poor older woman worker to have to fend the dog off and at this young man sitting next to the window ! Him and his dog were terrorizing everyone who was waiting for their orders because the kitchen was behind. He needs to be banned!! This is lawsuit waiting to happen against this location, he is there frequently. Me and my child did NOT feel safe. There were a lot of people in line, so I asked if they took walk-ins and she said yes and added us to the waitlist. 35-40 minutes later, I still didn't get a text, so I walked in and talked to the girl handling the check-ins to ask how much longer we had to wait and she said 10 more minutes. Right after I asked her, I received the bump-up text moving us up to next in line. If I didn't ask, we would still be sitting outside waiting. Meanwhile, all the people who were there with us were already seated, and she also took care of the rest of the new arrival customers immediately, letting them come inside right away. I was just observing and it made me really upset that she gave the tables 1st to the people who came there around the same time as we did and to those who just arrived. Why make us wait for that long if you were going to not give us the table but prioritize new arrivals because they have more of people or for whatever reasons, when you can just tell me you cannot accommodate/serve us and I would understand that and not waste my time! Wasting my time waiting in the cold! I was just going to let it go and drive off after waiting 45 minutes, but I was so angry I had to come back and get out of my car to confront her and ask. She then lied that those people were ahead of us first. We were literally there sitting outside for 45 minutes for me not to see who comes in and out. Everybody who literally just arrived, she immediately took care of them and gave them the table, meanwhile my son and I are still outside waiting. Is she serious? I had a party of 16 and I was glad they tried to seat us all together as best as they could even on a busy afternoon.
