The view was great. It was a little noisy with many planes flying over. We ordered some drinks and lunch. I ordered the Double Bogey Old Fashioned and split the Smashed Burger with Sweet Potato fries with hubby. My SIL ordered the Club Sandwich. Cozy. Simple. Delicious. The Canyons at the Crossings has a great outdoor patio with a view of the golf course -- perfect for a girl's brunch! My friend got their $22 bottomless aperol spritz (also available for mimosas and bloody Mary's / Maria's). I stuck to a mocktail since I wasn't drinking that day and the bartender came up with a sweet but delicious concoction. We split the Chilaquiles and added chorizo and the short stack of pancakes. The portions were massive and we were unable to finish either but the food was great! The pancakes were made with sweet cream for a decadent bite and the chilaquiles had a lovely flavor. We started with a stack of blueberry pancakes to share for the table which were fluffy and flavorful! I got the lobster roll which was really good and fairly priced! And the sweet potato fries were so good! My friend got the pork butt blt and was blown away. Others at the table had the avocado toast and Florentine omelet. It's been a couple years since we've dined here so we decided to return and have brunch on a Saturday morning. Although we had no reservations, we were seated right away by Megan and were told that it would be a bit of a wait since they only had one server. She was very friendly and hospitable. When we walked in, it had the same ambiance as before. A bit of a cold vibe, nothing visually appealing indoor and most likely due to the lack of decor. The chairs we sat on and the other chairs around us looked like they had a house cat, all scratched up. Thankfully, the large glass window with the beautiful views of the golf course and ocean makes up for it. It wasn't a long wait when our server Zach greeted us and took our order. He was also very friendly and was efficient. We started with a sangria and a bloody mary. Then we ordered the Florentine Omelette, Short rib hash and 1 pancake. The food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. Both our dishes came out warm, were full-flavored and a good portion. The eggs in the omelette were a bit over cooked but it was still good. At the end of our meal, we ordered a mimosa and a cup of coffee. The mimosa was great but the coffee tasted old/burnt. We asked Zach if we can get another cup of "fresh" coffee and he told us that it was indeed fresh and that they follow what Peet's coffee's instructions are. This was both surprising and disappointing because I'm a regular customer of Peet's coffee and I also brew their coffee at home. Overall, it was a good visit. The food and the excellent customer service make up for the subpar ambiance & decor. Even the food runner, Emilio, was also great. There was another lady with dark hair who also came by to check up on us which we also appreciated. If you like to dine with beautiful outdoor views, eat good food and enjoy great customer service, you should check this place out! We'll definitely be back. read more

Went for their Mother's Day brunch. The selections were sparse all around. The service was slow and the servers and host staff were not pleasant. I understand it was the Mother's Day service and they were dealing with crowds all day, but the cost per person of $99, I still expect smiles and prompt attention. I will also ding them on the ambience. We were sold ocean views and were seated near the service station with views of the kitchen prep area. In addition they added 18 percent gratuity on top of the $99. Do not recommend. read more

We had a wonderful brunch thanks to Meghan's attention to detail when I called to reserve a table for 7 that included a 14 month old. The table was great, but I'd move away from the outside side door next time. Our food was excellent and we enjoyed every bite. I loved my bottomless Mimosas but had to go to the bar for the missing orange juice. An added pleasure was the live music that we all enjoyed. We celebrated birthdays and enjoyed the cheesecakes that we shared. We had four birthdays but they said the limit was two desserts per table. Wow! This place isn't cheap and yet, it's the worst service I've had in a long-long time! I'll try to summarize. Arrived bout 11:30, not busy at all. We had a reservation. We asked if we could sit outside rather than inside. The hostess was distraught that we wanted to sit outside, so we said inside was fine. She even thanked - I'm sure for not inconveniencing her. Sat down, got greeted, and got our drinks and put in appetizers. Then the server disappeared from us. Not really though, because I could see her hanging out with her co-worker at the bar in the same room we were sitting in. They had a lot to talk about. Twentyish minutes pass and she came back to take our orders. When food was delivered, a young man with floppy hair, who was in a TERRIBLE mood, came to help deliver food. My co-worker was the first food delivered, he practically threw her plate down in front of her. He was very mad about something. We all noticed. While dining, another person from our party actually got up and brought one of the water pitchers to our table because our server was so inattentive. It was bad. Really bad. Also, pretty expensive. Will not give them another chance, and will be sure to share with anyone I can. read more

Came here for a work lunch with about ten people. They sat us outside at three large round tables pushed together. This was a very strange arrangement as you can imagine. Very surprised they didn't just pull out a large rectangular table but tis the holiday season so maybe they were being saved for some other event. We all ordered from a printed paper menu that appears to be far limited than the regular lunch menu online. Fish & chips for example was not available on this menu. I ordered the Traditional Caesar Salad ($12) and added Anchovy Fillets ($2) and steak ($15). The salad was just "ok". I've had so many phenomenal versions of the Caesar (like a "Kale Caesar with Toasted Pine Nuts & Capers") but the Canyons version was just basic. I even added steak hoping to amp up the flavors but the steak was a bit chewy and just sliced in a strange manner. I had to ask for a steak knife to cut it into smaller pieces. Although it was ok, I would not order it again. Someone else ordered a Club Sandwich and that looked amazing. Our server (didn't get her name) was the real takeaway from our experience. She was so full of energy and even joked around with us a bit, and helped to take a group picture. She was the best thing about lunch today. The views here are spectacular and the weather was a bit nippy...another odd thing about lunch. They seemed to be moving all the tables inside around for maybe some function later but I didn't see ANY other customers here besides us. Parking lot was packed, but there does seem to be plenty of parking which is good. I believe they even have valet. read more

Amazing view! Mediocre breakfast/brunch foods. My friends and I were seated in the outdoor area which overlooks a beautiful green golf course. I thought their brunch menu wasn't too great. I got the Denver omelette and it seemed a bit plain and overstuffed with too much cheese. I did enjoy their bottomless drink options! They have bottomless mimosas, bloody Mary's, aperol spritz, and John Daly. It's $20 for one, $24 for two options, and $30 for all 4 options! What a great deal. You can even pick all of the bottomless choices for a really great price, that's unheard of! This place is so nice, with a stunning ocean and golf course view. The brunch is what sold me to come here. All of the drinks were great and they were getting refilled in a timely matter, I only wish our waiter just kept refilling our bottomless beverages rather than asking before every time. Food was really good. Menu is a bit limited, I wish they had more options. The biscuits and gravy were very delicious, so fluffy with tons of flavor. The chicken and waffles is definitely a must get, it also has drizzle of bacon as well. Overall really great food and drinks, service could be a bit better but it wasn't terrible. Loved the service but the food was marginal at best. The avocado toast was basically packaged guacamole. The toast was thin and over roasted but the pickled onions were good. The only good thing of my meal was The chicken and waffles were mush and chicken was pink inside. Apparently the lobster roll was good out of the 6 meals we ordered. Last Sunday we brought my cousins who were visiting from Australia for brunch at this restaurant, for the view. Our server was good and the food was good. However, they did not have a coffee machine to make cafe mocha and the likes. But worst of all they ran out of mugs! They served our guests with paper cups for their hot drinks. Our waitress kept apologizing. We were utterly embarrassed to say the least. Needless to say we were very disappointed that such a high end golf course that holds wedding venues could care less about their restaurant - which is not equipped with a coffee maker and enough mugs!!! The strange thing was ordering our food from the bar instead of having our order taken at the table. Not exactly sure why except maybe staffing issues. The view is excellent and the food was good. We had reservations on Sunday, April 6, at 12:00 for brunch for 9 people. One wasn't able to make it. Four of us arrived a little early and were seated immediately before our other guests arrived which was nice. We ordered drinks and waited. When they all arrived it was about 12:15. We ordered and it was almost an hour before we got served. The food was cold! Can you imagine cold poached eggs?! We didn't send it back because it was almost 1:30 and the dining room was emptying. It was unedible.We had asked for more coffee earlier. The server brought an empty pot, but said she would bring more but didn't. My grandson had to go find someone. Another person ordered soup and they forgot to bring it. When asked , it was served when everyone else had finished as much cold food they could stand. Since our party was 8, an automatic 18% tip was added. The meal was well over $300. I reached out to the manager a couple of days later and they never got back to me. Hence the negative review. The only reason not to give a one was because it is a lovely facility. read more

We enjoyed their Wednesday date night special where we got an appetizer prawn salad with burrata and fresh heirloom tomatoes, entree of your choice (ratatouille, salmon, chicken, or beef short rib), dessert (chocolate creme brulee), and a bottle of wine for 2. The cost for 2 was $79 for freshly baked bread and butter, 2 appetizer salads, 2 entrees, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine. Dont count on the Restaurant on Sundays. The Canyons Restaurant would not seat us (2) at 2:15pm for the 16th Anniversary Sunday Brunch which was clearly marketed to end at 3pm. I have the email + the posted calendar at the restaurant. Interestingly, I got to the Crossings at noon and asked the Golf Bag Man how late the brunch would be open, 2pm or 3pm? He wasn't sure either so he ran inside and came out with a 3pm answer but get there by 2:50. We were done shopping at Costco (across the street) and by 2:15pm were at the respectionist. The Restaurant Manager was also there and would not seat us even though I pointed out the Calendar which said the Brunch would be served until 3pm but it was clear they wanted to get home. We didn't argue but left. I've golfed there numerous times but were told we could eat at the snack shack on the course. Not my idea of a Sunday brunch with my wife. As I said, we left. read more

I frequent the Canyons weekly after my golf game. They just added a LOBSTER ROLL, and all I can say is WOW! On par with those you would have in the Northeast. And much better than any similar lobster roll in the area. Plenty of lobster meat, and the roll is dead on what you would expect. read more

We were not disappointed in food quality, selection of variety, and freshness. We were also very impressed with our service. We were greeted and seated promptly and Brad, our server came over and explained that the buffet came with bottomless coffee, juice, champagne, and mimosas (SCORE!!!) I had the mimosas, the Hubs had coffee, and the Wee One got juice. We perused the buffet, and I obtained 2 slices of of prime rib, green beans, and potatoes. Everything was fantastic. The prime rib was a perfect medium rare and juicy, the side were gorgeous and well seasoned, and I was a very happy diner. My second round was the bagel and lox table, and some French toast, and a spinach salad... yes I know that makes no sense, but it's brunch-so anything goes! It was all amazing! The meal went on for a couple more rounds: my mimosa never going below 1/4 full, and Brad taking away our many plates with a smile. I do have to take away a 1/2 Star because the entré salmon on the hot bar had a few pin bones in my 11 year-old's portion, but, since she knows how to pull them out (her mom is a chef) it didn't detract from the overall amazingness of our brunch.
