To be honest, after reading a number of the reviews for this restaurant, I had mixed feelings about trying it. I'm very glad I did! I've tried Brazilian steakhouses all over and this one was one of my favorites! To start with, everything on the produce bar tested very fresh and delicious. My server was very efficient and friendly and from Brazil too! Anyway the service was great, servers kept coming around with the various meats on skewers. The side dishes for freshly prepared and very tasty. Really I had no complaints at all about anything. Visited here on Easter Sunday right at 12pm.i had a reservation but decided to just get in line. It went quick. I will start out the positives. The hostess was very friendly and sat us in the back. Isaac was our server and he was great!!! My daughter's first time at a Brazilian steakhouse and he explained the process very clearly. Since we were part of the first round of customers, all the meats came out pretty fast. They cook the meat medium rare to medium (which is completely fine with us). They do have a decent salad bar. They added eggs and bacon today. Maybe, for Easter? I really liked the tritip, seasoned sirloin, most of the filet mignon, sausages, family said shrimp was delicious. Now with the cons. After the first round of meat, we hardly saw much of them again. Maybe, in spurts. We would try to make eye contact but I guess it was kind of busy but still not an excuse for the gaps in service. Some of the meats were salty which we just ate more of the unlimited mashed potato. For unlimited meat and salad buffet, we didn't even stay long. I have gone to 3 other Brazilian steakhouses and this one is my least favorite. This one just doesn't live up to the other ones. I felt the price tag was outrageous for the quality given. I have never had to wait so long to be attended to either in other restaurants. My husband did not care for the place at all. My daughter was bleh about her first time. My nephew was visiting during his birthday month, and when we asked him what he wanted to eat, he said steak. We asked if he had ever been to a Brazilian steakhouse, and he hadn't, so we decided to take him to Texas de Brazil. I remember seeing a Costco deal while we were shopping. We've also tried Fogo de Chão and Rei Do Gado in San Diego, so we were curious to see how this one compared. I would list it in this order: 1. Fogo de Chao: $69 for Dinner/weekend Our favorite! Service is outstanding. Ambiance is more intimate. They offer more hot foods, and the salad bar has more items. I prefer the pineapple served warm, which Fogo de Chao does so well. Sometimes I ask for that first, so I won't be too full at the end. 2. Texas de Brazil: $60 for Dinner/weekend I explain the reasoning below. 3. Rei Do Gado: $64.95 We probably will not come back again, unless someone we know wants to come here. Service was not good; the meats took a long time to reach our table. We had not tried several of the meats we requested. The salad area is the smallest of the three. **COSTCO DEAL** This is the main reason we decided to try Texas de Brazil. For $79.99, we got two $50 gift cards that totaled $100. Reservations: I made a reservation online. We were a little late since we had a difficult time finding the place. I let the staff know we were running late because of it. We waited about 5-10 minutes and were seated. Parking: It was a little hard to find at first, even though we followed the map. I had to call, and the person who answered was nice and took the time to explain where it was located. It's across from the Cheesecake Factory. Their sign was much easier to see at night. It's tucked into a shopping center, but there is plenty of free parking once you figure out where you're going. Setup: The setup is similar to other Brazilian steakhouses we've been to. There's a large salad area with cold items, plus some hot sides you can grab. They brought out Brazilian cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes, fries, and sweet fried bananas to the table. Service: It was a little slow at the beginning with the meats coming around. We had our cards flipped to green and were waiting for a bit. About halfway through dinner, more meats started circulating, and it definitely picked up. Our main server was attentive, kept our drinks refilled, cleared plates quickly, and checked in consistently. At the other Brazilian steak houses, our main server is usually paired with someone else who checks on us as well. She did not introduce anyone else. Favorite Meats : The meats are slow-roasted over an open flame. The meat is brought to the table and carved in front of you. The meats are cooked medium-rare, and that's how we like them cooked. Our favorites were the Picanha, Garlic Picanha, Filet Mignon, and especially the Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon. The filet was tender and juicy, and the bacon just made it better. Once things picked up, we made sure to grab those cuts again when they came by. They had pineapple served cold at the salad bar. Birthday: They don't offer anything complimentary for birthdays. At the other Brazilian steakhouses, several servers usually come out to sing. That didn't happen here, but our server told us she would sing along with us at the table, which I appreciated. We purchased the crème brûlée and a slice of cake. The staff wrote "Happy Birthday" on the plates, which was a nice touch. And just to be clear... the birthday boys did not share. Ugh! Atmosphere : Nice, but it felt more like a standard steakhouse vibe. Most of the customers were wearing casual attire. You could see the mall's interior, and a lot was going on outside. It was crammed inside, and there was a wait. Overall, we had a good experience, and it was a fun way to celebrate his birthday month. Would we come back? This place is busy on weekends, reservations recommended! The sides, especially the potatoes, soup, and the cold bar are all delicious. The meats are well-cooked and seasoned. The only downside is that our large party only got the same rotation of 2-3 types of meat. We saw different types of meat offered to other tables and unfortunately, we were skipped so we weren't not able to try many of them. Bar drinks are available to order while you wait for your table. Additionally, two hostess' were arguing in-front of our party and many other guests waiting to be seated. While the effort is there, I do not think this place is at the same level as Fogo, especially with the service. read more

I typically skip the chicken, pork, and sausages and focus on the beef. If you don't see you cut of meat, you can ask the server and they'll let the guys know you are waiting for a particular cut. I'm a regular at the competing Brazilian chain and don't have access to one of these in Nashville, TN. I had an extremely pleasant experience here and the first thing that comes to mind for me was the seasoning on a lot of the meats. I feel that they use a lot more here and I found that to be an awesome change! Their Pichana was of super high quality and with the extra salt, it was a great taste. Their leg of lamb was also pretty superior as I get a gamey taste from the lamb at my usual place. I enjoyed the jasmine rice and beans here as well. I didn't find their cod stew especially good, and their cheese bread seemed to be cooked a little too long. Our server was fantastic and we left more than satisfied. I've been to several Texas de Brazil locations and this one delivered the same great quality and service I've come to expect. Compared to Fogo de Chão and Rei do Gado in Gaslamp, Texas de Brazil brought out meats much faster on a weekday. At the other spots, I've noticed the rotation slows down when it's less busy, but here the meats just kept coming. I even kept a list of the proteins on my phone and was able to request specific cuts -- the servers were super accommodating and friendly. Service overall was great, and they did a nice job moving things along while still making sure everyone was taken care of. And I have to mention the bananas -- so good I ordered them three times! We do not get their "happy hour" caiprinhas, and I quote happy hour bc they say it's $4 but it's actually $8 bc they make it a double shot during HH. Make sure you specify or they automatically do the up charge to double shot and which btw it's definitely not double the alcohol in there. So we SKIP! We also skip the fancy water $8. Sometimes we get the sparkling. But ask for tap! And not the water that comes in the blue bottle. Yes, there's little ways they add on to your bill. Although it's an AYCE, soft drinks and desserts are not included. Just like any other AYCE! That's standard. For meats, we used to hate coming on weekdays bc the service was so bad. Like the meat guys never came around and we'll just be upset sitting there with no steak. Recently, this year, they stepped up their game, so we don't mind going on the weekdays now. Our favorite meats are filet, picanha (only if they char the fat), and flank steak. They have other meats- garlic sirloin, spicy sirloin, bacon wrapped filet, tri tip, beef ribs, pork ribs, leg of lamb, lamb chops, lamb picanha, parm chicken, sausage. Yes sometimes it can be super salty, other times it's perfect. Here's a secret- eat it with a little of their chimichurri, it's excellent. I also eat it with their malaqueta peppers, pineapple carpaccio, hearts of palm and cornichons to cut the salt and fat. Then the cheese bread to cleanse the palate. Vinny Vinny Vinny... my guy. So I ordered from Uber Eats and I ordered medium rare on my meat. It came well done. My family ate their filet mignon and that was medium rare, but my pichana wasn't necessarily ruined, just not my preference. The manager Vinny apologized and offered a pound of pichana to make things right. I picked it up a few weeks later and he was still cool enough to honor his word and remembered me. My partner and I recently visited this restaurant, and overall we had a really great experience. We had a reservation, and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating when we asked to switch to a different table. The atmosphere was cozy, the restaurant itself was beautiful, and the food was honestly delicious. Most of the staff we interacted with were kind, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with our designated server, named Luca. After introducing himself, he seemed to completely lose interest in our table once we mentioned that we wouldn't be ordering alcohol. Throughout the evening, he never checked in on us, asked how the food was, or offered drinks or dessert. Meanwhile, he was regularly checking on the larger table across from us multiple times. We ended up having to approach other servers whenever we needed something, which made us feel an ignored and uncomfortable. The only time our server came to our table on his own was after we received the bill -- just to pick it up. That was honestly disappointing, especially because every other part of the experience was so good. We love regularly visiting different upscale restaurants around the city, so we really value good hospitality and service. For comparison, even on Valentine's Day, one of the busiest nights of the year, we had a reservation at Peohe's on Coronado Island, and the service there was absolutely exceptional despite how busy they were. If you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, imagine Tinder for carnivores, except the meat comes to you, on swords, and you're the one getting swiped (medium to medium rare, unless you're afraid of a little moo, lol)!! We sampled the medley of Picanha, Garlic Sirloin, Spicy Sirloin, Flap Meat, Filet Mignon, and Beef Ribs... each a bit saltier than a pirate's vocabulary. Then came the self-serve wonderland: salad, charcuterie, and hot sides that screamed comfort food: Au Gratin Potatoes, Feijoada Black Beans, Lobster Bisque, and more. I came in with the hubby at noon for the first time yesterday (7/6/25), and was absolutely delighted! Texas De Brazil is a Brazilian steakhouse restaurant. If you are unfamiliar with the concept; it's AYCE, where there is a huge salad, cold/hot item buffet that you can help yourself to, and Gauchos walk from table to table slicing fresh beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and shrimp for diners table-side. My favorites yesterday were the garlic sirloin, the flank steak, and the fillet mignon, but everything was amazing. My husband loved their lamb (I'm not fan of lamb so I didn't try it). The cold buffet is stocked full of salads, charcuterie, cheeses, a good selection of pickled veggies, and salsas. It did not disappoint either. You do have to pay à La carte for drinks and dessert, just so you know. Our service was flawless. Mine and hubby's waters never went below 1/2 full, and our server was there when we needed him, but definitely never hovered. He was a total star! The gauchos came by the table often enough too, and we were never without meat on our plates. As I mentioned above we went at lunchtime, so the dining room itself was quiet, as there were maybe a dozen tables of people. My man complaint is that our waitress came to the table and asked if she could take plates and I pointed to one and she took my man's meat plate! I'm not one to write reviews on restaurants or food in general but I didn't enjoy our time here. Not sure if it's just this location because I've been to others and had a way better experience. We asked for medium well cuts of meat, but we were okay with the medium rare that they traditionally serve. With that being said, the entire time we were there we were only offered meat 3 times. We had our cards on green/yes,please the entire time yet we weren't offered meats. Not sure if we just looked like we didn't want to eat or something because they would walk straight past us. I just think that if you're charging $60 per person we could at the bare minimum be offered more pieces of meat. Especially since they aren't big cuts to begin with. I also want to add that I'm not sure if it was just the cuts of meat or what but they were insanely chewy and the texture was awful. Aside from the lack of meat, the second we walked in to check in the receptionist at the front looked like she didn't want to be there and didn't have a good attitude when speaking to us. I'm assuming it's from being busy but it's not the customers fault that you guys are booked and busy so I don't think it's fair for it to be taken out on us. Especially since we're paying to be there. I just think they could improve a lot or not take as many people in if they're not prepared to deal with them, or give them enough food. I recently visited this location to celebrate a graduation. I am glad that I made a reservation for two because it was totally packed at 5pm on a Saturday. We arrived a little earlier but were seated around 5 minutes after checking in, so not too long of a wait. Once we were seated, the server was very nice and I mentioned to him that I was only interested in only a few cuts of meat and this is where I feel like this place shined. He made sure I got the Picanha, beef rib, filet mignon, and lamb. He checked in often and I didn't need to wave him down. The cuts were all very juicy and tender and in my opinion, the best cuts at most of these Brazilian AYCE style places. I also enjoyed a the chicken wings and sausage but the sausage was a bit salty. I tasted a little of the pork and it was totally dry and awful. The cheese bread could have been more cheesy and the salad bar had decent sides but you're really there for the meat. It was a good experience but expensive at 69.99 per person. I had gift cards from Costco so it was a better deal so maybe something to consider. read more

The place is always busy, and be careful with the blue water bottle on the table. It is NOT free lol, I learned the hard way. The food is always worth the price, and the salad/antipasti bar is so big you have to try not to eat it all, and they do have scalloped potatoes to the side of the antipasti bar, and they bring cars listed plantains to your table and the BEST cheese bread ever! My husband has been wanting to come back and he's gone to the other one with a few guys from work, but I just didn't think the cost matched the service/taste, so I passed each time, but the Texas de Brazil club emailed me $20 off and we are celebrating 18 yrs married, so surprised my husband with a date night here. So glad I gave it another go. Each staff person was so nice, sincerely nice, not a fake nice. I hope I spell the names correctly, Sierra was our server and she was great, didn't bother and didn't neglect at all. She cared for us the perfect amount. We didn't want for anything and didn't need to wait at all, she just knew when to refill and when to clear plates, we never needed to ask or call for her. She's personable as well, so if you are chatty she can chat back with ease or if you prefer not to be bothered, I could tell she'd respect that as well. Sincerely a nice lady. Each gentleman that came was polite and cared for us well. The manager, Matthias I believe, was sincerely nice as well. Friendly and caring. Seems like a wonderful place to work. Place seemed really clean. Our table and the silverware and plates, etc. All clean. Now for the food. Again, ALL the potato items were THE best! Seriously the best. I ended up saying yes each time the flank steak was offered because it was so good! I got 3 little strips of it and 2 pieces of filet. Wanted more and they would have served more but we were delightfully full, we didn't want to try more because then we'd be 'mal de puerco' (too full). Best: cheese bread puffs, au gratin potatoes, rice, parm pork loin, flank steak, filet... in that order. Pass: chicken, cod, potato salad, black beans. Everything besides these 4 were good. But these were a pass for us. Didn't try their desserts, it was nice to pick kids up from VBS, but the pineapple on the cold bar is like a light dessert and they brought fried bananas that was yummy but we were too full to try more of it. Not because it wasn't yummy, just because we didn't want to over do it. Attire, we saw everything from dresses to the 9 to sweats, so come as you desire, do be intimidated if dressing up isn't your thing or you are at the mall in sweats but see the place and really wanna try it. I thought they'd have a dress code but was happy to see they seem not to, at least not when we went on a Wednesday. I wore a dress and hubby wore a tshirt n jeans. He had a nice sweater on but it got too warm today so he didn't wear it into the mall. No one judged, no one said a word, so feel welcomed. A few Couples were dressed very well and staff are all dressed VERY nice so get all fancy and enjoy if that's your preference. Lady the registrar as we left was nice as well. It's my niece's birthday and this is where she wanted to go. We love this place so we arrived at about 445 parking on semi in the area under the restaurant, but we found a spot walked on in the restaurant in a few minutes before five they're open but only in the bar the restaurant portion opens at five so we took a seat outside. Walked in, confirmed our reservations and we're seated immediately We normally come here eat a lot of steak a little bit of salad and drink water today. I got the iced tea. Our server did an excellent excellent job. My iced tea was full all the time I tried a few of the different stakes and they were delicious and then the filet mignon finally arrived absolutely to die for after several rounds of filet mignon. I am stuff. The food is delicious. The service was excellent and this place really is a value dollar for dollar excellent value on that stake we will return. read more

This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. We often visited to do both. This time, we catered for a holiday gathering of 24 guests. They delivered on time. Food came labeled in aluminum containers. The juicy foods arrived double wrapped to avoid spills. The delivery driver wheeled the food up in a thermal container to keep the food at a safe temperature. He walked the food into the house and placed them in my kitchen. Unlike Uber or DoorDash, the food was properly handled and delivered. I placed the food in a warmer, while guests arrived and had appetizers. I requested rare, knowing the food would continue to cook in the warmer. Food was served an hour and a half after delivery. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared as if it just made. Guests were so happy with the food, the house was quiet. We ordered filet mignon, chicken wrapped in bacon and BBQ pork ribs (that were very tender). We had the mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, rice & beans. The rice was fluffy and buttery. This was definitely a great experience. Coming from someone who catered for 30 years, I was impressed and extremely pleased. They will be my caterer for Christmas. To start out, I did make a reservation ahead of time as it is always helpful to do so to ensure you will be seated. Sometimes you can get lucky here without one, but honestly it's just easier for peace of mind to have a reservation ahead of time. As soon as we arrived and checked-in, we were quickly shown to our table. Our fantastic waitress greeted us and asked if we had been to a Brazilian Steakhouse before, and since we had, she let us be on our way but made sure to note she was available if we had any questions. Honestly just wonderful service! We did peruse the buffet bar and they do have some good options, but I prefer to just get a few items to not fill myself so I will be able to eat all of the meat we love. Our sides came out shortly after we began eating and the Pão de queijo and the sweet plantains were gone in mere moments as they are our favorite accompaniments! Our waitress was on it and constantly refilled us. We were honestly overjoyed. While I did love their specific cuts and marinades for each meat, my only qualm was getting the meat to me. Usually when your card is green, they will come to your table to offer their specific cut. Unfortunately for me, whenever my husband's card turned to red but mine was still green, I would not be served. I tried moving my card all over the table so the gauchos would see it better, but alas it did not work. I ended up just flipping my husband's card to green and he just had to say no to the cuts instead. This has never happened to either of us in the past at any other Brazilian steakhouse or specific Texas de Brazil location. Honestly it was kind of funny how they wouldn't even look at my card as I tried to flag gauchos down. Luckily, our waitress asked if we wanted to finish with any specific cuts and she was able to have those gauchos come to us. All but 1! He avoided my card and wouldn't walk near our table, but all is well. My favorite cuts are always any steak options and more specifically picanha. They definitely excelled in these options as everything was tender and most cuts melted in our mouthes like butter. We did go in for my husband's birthday and they were kind enough to surprise him with a lovely birthday dessert. We loved it! We will definitely be back but we now know to always have my husband's card as green! read more

Been here 3-4 times and always have had a great experience. The salad bar is always well stocked and a favorite of ours. The hot dishes are delicious and my favorite are the mushrooms. Now for the main course, the meat is very seasoned but delicious. I had dinner at Texas de Brazil last Saturday night and made a reservation through their website for 8:15 PM. The restaurant is located inside The Shoppes at Carlsbad on the first floor. When I arrived, it was packed, and I had to wait a bit for my table to be prepared, but that was understandable given how busy it was. This was my first time at Texas de Brazil, and it was clear from the start that this wasn't your typical buffet or steakhouse. My waitress explained the concept thoroughly: for $58.99, you get unlimited meats, sides, sauces, and everything available at the salad bar. If you wanted to eat 10 steaks, you absolutely could! You could also request specific cuts from the kitchen, cooked to your preference, at no extra cost. The only thing you couldn't do was take food home, but that made sense given the incredible value. The service was impeccable. My waitress introduced me to the circular card on the table--green on one side, red on the other. Flipping it to green signaled servers to bring different meats to the table, all carved fresh from skewers. If you didn't want a particular cut, you could simply pass and wait for the next. Flipping to red meant taking a break. The variety of meats was insane: * Picanha * Brazilian Sausage * Garlic Picanha * Barbecued Pork Ribs * Leg of Lamb & Lamb Chops * Filet Mignon (including bacon-wrapped) * Flank Steak * Spicy Sirloin * Parmesan-Crusted Pork Loin * Beef Ribs * Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon * ...and so much more! The salad bar was also top-tier, featuring imported cheeses, meats, soups, peppers, and plenty of other fresh options. In addition to all the incredible meats, the waitress also brings out unlimited sides to the table, including: * Fried bananas * French fries * Mashed potatoes These sides were a perfect complement to the meal. The fried bananas were a unique touch, the fries were crisp, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. One highlight of my meal? The Jalapeño Poppers! Juicy, creamy, and packed with flavor. I loved them so much that I had my waiter bring me an entire skewer just for myself! The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, the restaurant was spotless, and the service was some of the best I've ever had at a high-end steakhouse. In my opinion, nothing in the area can compete with Texas de Brazil. The sheer amount of food and quality you get for $58.99 is unbeatable--especially in today's economy. It was so good that I ended up being the last person in the restaurant! I arrived at 8:15 PM and didn't leave until 10:30 PM because I was enjoying every bite. This place deserves a Michelin star. One of the top 3 Brazilian steakhouses I've been to. Great wait service. Went here on Christmas Day, and it was pretty packed. I think everyone had the same idea I had on no cooking for the holidays! The wait service were in great spirits as I know it's rough having to work on the holidays. We made sure they were compensated well. The meats were flavorful.
