Better Buzz coffee is a little too sweet for my tastes, but if you order it half or one-quarter sweet it's pretty good. My son likes the açaí bowls. The service is always great at this Oceanside location and my dog loves their pup cups! They put a little milk bone in it too. Nice! I do the drive- through at this location for convenience with my dog! The Encinitas location lacks a drive-through and parking can be challenging, but it is in a walkable area and it has an open air concept so even when inside you feel like you are outside. The roast of their coffee is fuller and smoother than that Star***** ( which I find to be too acidic). Nice with the drive- through for quick , quality service! read more

My first visit to Better Buzz. I'd always assumed it was worth the wait as the Encinitas location is perpetually packed, but now I understand why the line moves so slowly. It's not demand, it's understaffing. The person taking orders was juggling at least three roles at once. No fault of the barista's. The bigger disappointment, though, was the coffee itself. I ordered a large nitro, expecting the cold, creamy pour you'd get anywhere that does it well. It arrived over ice, already a red flag. I asked for a remake without ice, which they handled graciously, but what came back was flat, barely half a cup once it settled, with none of the velvety texture nitro should have. I had to try the new Vanilla Bean Oat Milk Iced Espresso. I was a little concerned because I do not do overly sweet beverages, but the young lady at the register assured me it was not very sweet and she was right. The beverage's subtle sweetness came from the vanilla bean syrup. Both the vanilla flavor and sweetness was very limited in a helpful way. It allowed the espresso and oat milk flavor to stand out, which made the coffee drink enjoyable to drink. They put just the right amount of ice and the drink was refreshing. Oh yes, I also had a zucchini walnut loaf with the iced espresso and it was very good. I do recommend it. Both actually. The hospitality was good. It was not as upbeat as the last Better Buzz visit in Imperial Beach, but good enough. The service was very good. They had my order ready even before I sat down at a table. So I've recently found out that a lot of Better Buzz's syrups contain dairy. That's unfortunate but I was able to try a few of their drinks that do not contain dairy syrup like the mint infused iced coffee, ordered with oat milk. My biggest advice if you have allergens or are dietary restrictions is to ask questions. They have a variety of food items as well, including smoothie bowls that I haven't had an opportunity to try. Service was friendly the few times I've been. I appreciate the drive thru but may check out the inside soon. read more

Had a great visit today. Ordered the new Espresso Vanilla Bean Oat Milk Drink. Delicious. Not sweet. Perfect amount of ice and oat milk. Also opted for a slice of the walnut zucchini loaf. Flavorful with crunchy walnuts. Service was amazing. My drink was ready in 3-5 minutes. After I ordered about 10-12 people arrived! I ordered a caprese sandwich and a pink smoothie with dragonfruit in it. Both were delicious. I like how the food was freshly made. The bread on it wasn't hard when toasted and the mozzerella cheese was nice and melted with a nice cheese pull. The arugula really complemented the sandwich a lot surprisingly. I was nice and full for brunch. The service was exceptional here. My hubby got the best drink ever banana one he loved it too. I think it had a nilla wafer and whipped cream in it. I've been to this location a handful of times; it's conveniently located off the 5 freeway and close to downtown Oside. They have a drive-thru option and a dine in option. Sunday morning at 9:15am, the drive thru seemed to move much faster than for those dining in. Our food was delicious. The breakfast sandwich hits home, and the ham and cheese croissant is always crisp and buttery. The pistachio croissant is another favorite, it never disappoints. Our drinks were a different story. I waited 30 minutes for my cortado - which tasted absolutely horrible. It was burnt and awful, I couldn't bring myself to finish it when I tried.. The mint iced coffee was off too (we've had better at other locations).. Other people (before and after us) were growing furious and impatient. While the person at the register was friendly and kind - the speed and turn around time for drinks was lacking. There seemed to be no sense of urgency even as the line inside grew longer and longer - both the line to order and the line at the pickup counter. A family of four was seated at a table when we walked in. When we left, I noticed someone from that particular table walking up to the pickup counter still waiting for their drink... If I waited 30 minutes for my drink, how much longer did they wait? Yikes! It might've been an off day, who knows, but it was pretty terrible. All in all, while the food is good and the location is convenient - I will probably stick to ordering items on the menu vs. ordering something like a cortado for any future visits. read more

For only being open for a few weeks, they are doing great! I did go opening day and service was fantastic and my drink tasted exactly the same as other locations, so their quality control is great too. I've enjoyed going through their drive-thru as it's pretty fast, but my most recent visit, i decided to walk in and order. It didn't take too long for our drinks to be made, even though they were busy. Again, our drinks tasted right, so the quality is there. The staff is very friendly and welcoming too. Plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside. Really easy to park as well since this is located in a shopping plaza. The drive thru line could get long but they have it setup so it would still be easy to park if you wanted to go inside instead. read more

I've been the better buzz many times and I usually have no complaints. But This location was dirty, tables were not clean, floor was sticky. Condiment section was empty no forks, spoons, or straws. I will say the customer service was good. But we waited quite a while for our drinks. When we got them they were very disappointing. They taste absolutely terrible, like water down burnt coffee. My husband got a snickerdoodle iced latte and I got a cold brew, they both tasted burnt and watered down. Very disappointed. read more

I stopped by Better Buzz and ordered a Caramel Vanilla Latte -- it was absolutely delicious! The flavor was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and so smooth. The coffee had that rich, creamy taste that makes you want to sip it slow and enjoy every drop. The staff was friendly and the vibe in the café was super cozy and inviting. Stopped in at Better Buzz for coffee and a sweet before work. Thought I'd treat myself after a long week. Got to work, started working and piecing off bits of the muffin, noticed it would crumble more than a typical muffin, but carried on. Being that the last bit of muffin is more less crumbles, I had to look at what was left when I noticed a hair in the muffin. Pretty gross. Needless to say that'll be my last purchase of muffins. I recognize this a chain. But for good reason, the drinks are soooo good. I look forward to grabbing coffee here whenever I'm in the area which is super infrequent. We stopped by here as we made our way down to San Diego. I loved the drive-thru option but ended up ordering ahead for pick up. I really enjoy their snickerdoodle latte with a cinnamon cold foam. Soooo gooooood. Fortunately, I was able to visit a couple of times (on the way down and on the way back up) and their season pumpkin spiced latte is just something I'm gonna have to dream about getting again, as I sit up here in NorCal. Staff was friendly but a bit slow. They did apologize for the wait. But overall I'll be back and I'm counting the days until we're reunited. read more

New and clean coffee shop with great coffee and teas, also good breakfast sandwiches and baked goods for a sweet treat. Had a Chai tea latte with oat milk it was delicious! It was better than Starbucks which used to be my go to place. I wish we lived closer so we could get here more frequently. Staff is extremely friendly too and help you with your order. I wish you didn't have to pay extra for alternative milks. That seems standard though to pay an extra $1 or so for oat milk, almond or soy milk. read more

Been to almost every coffee house in Oceanside. But when we drive from Fallbrook to Oceanside, we choose to Frequent Better Buzz. 1st of all, the settings, inside & out, are clean and accomidating. But very important is the service- the staff! We are always greeted with friendliness. Today we were greeted by Kevin- he is Genuine and Genuinely Friendly, Knowledgeable & Welcoming. And of course there would be no point in stopping for coffee if not for a good barista creating a good cup of coffee- we have never had a bad barista and never a bad experience at Better Buzz. And Shane is a stellar barista- She is best of the best- better than the rest! She perfected our coffee orders, and did so with efficiency & friendliness! Without a good barista focused on making consistantaly good coffee, there would be no point in stopping. I ordered two different type of breakfast for the road to LAX airport. The ham and cheese croissant was excellent. Crispy, warm, buttery, that blended well with the ham and cheese. I had to refrain from eating it too fast. My second food was the Chili Crisp Breakfast Wrap that I had for lunch and it was very good with a hint of spicy and buttery. Love it! The standalone store front is so cute, clean, and bright. Not surprisingly the employee at the register was very nice and friendly.
