Tiramisu & pistachio cheesecake dessert
Yonnie C.

Ordered 2 items from here: 1) pistachio cheesecake dessert - tasty and moist, enjoyed it 2) tiramisu - this was delicious and you can't go wrong with it

Vanilla latte and Orange Latte

Drinks were chefs kiss. The orange latte was amazing and the drinks aren't too sweet. It's located in a food court so there's so many food options too. Definitely give it a shot! I'm so exited to come back and try different drinks

First of all this place is inside a food hall so there isn't always sitting keep that in mind. Overall it's a nice place but my coffee was not good. It had like a bitter taste even though I had asked for syrup. The girl in the front was super nice so the customer service was good. I asked if they make the bakery items and she said no they buy it and heat it up so that kind of sucks. I am all for supporting small businesses but this one was ok.

Strawberry Matcha after mixing
Deanne L.

I've been chasing this matcha high ever since! Other places haven't done justice so far. Recently tried the Strawberry Matcha during my lunch at Windmill. The employee whisked the matcha and took her time as she made my drink as she should and I'm grateful; good things take time. When she was finished she told me to mix it very well. Ugh it was so good!! Perfect amount of matcha and green color. Now all others I've had at other places just feels like not enough matcha or took much milk. This place made it perfectly. Nice amount of strawberry too. The lady working was nice and friendly.

Orange Matcha & Orange Latte

We stopped by Immersion, a small corner coffee spot inside the Windmill building in Carlsbad, and had a really nice experience overall. Carol, the cashier/barista, was super friendly and welcoming. She was open to suggestions and really took the time to help us decide on our drinks. I usually go for matcha, but after seeing reviews about their orange latte, I was curious to try something different. Since I wasn't feeling well and still getting over a cold, I stuck with matcha, and Carol suggested trying it with orange--kind of like their orange latte but with matcha instead. The matcha tasted high quality (I believe it's ceremonial grade), and the orange flavor was good, but a bit too sweet for my taste. I still prefer my usual strawberry matcha, but I'm glad I tried something new. My friend ordered the orange latte, which was also on the sweeter side for her. What really stood out was Carol's service--she kindly offered to remake both of our drinks, which we really appreciated. She was so accommodating and genuinely nice that we didn't want to trouble her. Overall, the drinks are delicious and high quality--just ask for less sweetness if that's your preference. I'd definitely come back again for the service and to try more items on the menu!

Right when you walk into the food court you can't help but want dessert before your main dish! The person working the floor was wearing multiple hats was so nice and friendly. Loved her energy even though she was rocking it by herself! Felt bad there was a line of people, but I give her mucho kudos for being a swan in the water. I had the matcha strawberry drink and I really enjoyed it. Some places the matcha drinks can have that heavy earthy taste that I'm not a fan of, but this drink I was impressed with the balance. Strawberry wasn't overly sweet either. We grabbed carrot cake, key lime pie, pistachio cheesecake and couple of cookies. I personally liked the pistachio cheesecake and recommend if you're a pistachio fan! The cream cheese in the dessert was whipped liked, so it wasn't a heavy dense cheesecake. Overall I had a very enjoyable experience

I come here very often to enjoy a matcha latte, the cream top is my favorite. always such good quality and it's ceremonial.

Good taste to the matcha with cream. Small cup considering the $7 price. Good service, in general.

So, we get there and see a pretty good and see a steady line coming out the door, okay cool. However in what we tried it's just an okay spot. I would say they have a great business model and have cool merch and crazy cool art and stuff but the drinks weren't anything special like what we expected. My wife got the matcha latte with honey and it was not well made. Seems like they feel more is better when it comes to putting matcha in the drink. More is not better. It just makes the matcha taste like grass. Ground powdered matcha is basically a concentrate and needs to be treated that way. Had my review been just on her drink it would be a one star. Her drink is exactly why a lot of people say matcha is not good. A well made matcha should be delicious. I got a vanilla latte and it was just okay. Tasted fine but wasn't anything that would have me wanted to come back for more. I do have to give it to them for the latte artwork as they do great on that. But the drink was just okay. We also got an heirloom blueberry and corn scone which was good but the corn makes it a bit gritty like corn bread, which I like although it could throw someone off if they are not expecting it. The other pastries all looked pretty good and we saw some breakfast sandwiches coming out that did look good too.

Cinnamon roll - best Ive had out of all the ones I've had in CA and AZ. They do not cut corners and even use brown butter for their cinnamon sugar filling! Cruffins - fun to look at and fun to eat; can't go wrong with any of them! Cookies - white chocolate macadamia nut, chocolate chip, gluten-less chocolate cookies ... now these are cookies! If I had to bet, I'm pretty sure they weigh as much or even more than the famous NY Levain cookies. Strawberry and cream croissant - croissant stuffed with whipped cream and slices of fresh strawberrh; do yourself a favor and just try this! With so many goods to choose from, it may be easy to pass this one up, but don't! It'll give you those napoleon and cream puff vibes.

I have had a croissant sandwich which was so good and many pastries since that event. My favorite and the one I keep coming back to is the lemon curd cruffin. A croissant muffin combination which is so crispy flakey and delicious. The staff is always nice and answers my questions. Parking is easy. There a few tables outside shared with the Mexican and Japanese restaurants next door.

Ive brought friends here in the past and have always gotten positive feedback afterwards. Recently though, it feels like it's lost a little of its charm. The menu needs updating because with all the crossed out items on the board, it looks a little low end and like they're out of things. But they also always seem to be out of multiple items when I come these days. There's no food options any more most of the time, but the display cases remain. And seating... it feels like they got rid of 1-2 tables and the tables that were outside. There never seems to be enough seating so it's both cramped while also empty looking now. They have these side benches to sit on, but no one ever uses them because they're not super comfortable or good to chat with anyone with. Also, the bathroom. It's usually open, but twice now Ive been in there where there's zero toilet paper or the paper towel dispenser is out, but someone has just put a roll on top to tear at your own will. I loved this place so I hate saying more negative than good. The drinks remain amazing, but for a spot that is so popular, it's losing some of its own charm.

We each got to order a pot of tea, so we decided to order 5 different ones to try out more flavors together. The ones we picked were: -Jasmine orange oolong - Coconut milk green tea - Earl grey lavender - Vanilla cream -Strawberry rose champagne oolong tea My top two favorites were the jasmine orange oolong and the coconut milk green tea. The only flavor that none of us enjoyed was the strawberry rose champagne oolong tea, so when it came time for refills, we switched it to the rouge provence. For the food, there were four finger sandwiches: chicken breast, smoked salmon, cucumbers, and chopped spinach. We all liked the chicken breast one the most, and felt like the cucumbers and chopped spinach could have been combined into one sandwich for a more balanced flavor. For sweets, there was the seasonal scone, fruit tart, macaron, and donut. I loved the scone with the butter and fruit preserves, as well as the fruit tart. The service was polite, but a bit slow and we waited a while before our food arrived. There was only one person who was serving the entire afternoon tea area, so it's understandable that there's a longer wait. All in all, I would definitely come back for another afternoon tea experience!
