    Mojito special is sooooo good
    Bridget B.

Absolutely loved the iced mojito special from Bump coffee. I usually don't finish my coffees but I finished the entire drink! This place was quiet on a Sunday so service was quick, baristas were friendly, and coffee was delicious. The spot was super cute and beachy. You can't go wrong with this spot!

Walk up and order: coffee and empanadas. It works!

Great breakfast or lunch option when in Cardiff. Opens early, 6:00 am. Great selections and carefully crafted coffee drinks. Freshly made breakfast empanadas that are tasty: both vegetarian and meat. Really tasty yet also pricy. Friendly staff. The place has a loyal following. Prices seemed a tad steep, but doable. Not sure what to make of the large flag. Not bad, just curious about the symbolism. Interesting that one morning when we passed by, there were many law enforcement officers socializing and hanging out. We are not from the area and thought these observations were interesting. Bump is a nice alternative to the coffee and sweets available elsewhere.

    CBDream and empanadas!

Morning CBDream at Bump Coffee hit the spot! It is also my first time trying their empanadas. Highly recommended both Serrano & Egg and Bacon & Egg. I love coming to Bump especially the host was so friendly! Thanks for being a great neighbor shop! There is more than coffee. Ambiance is simple and clean. Check out the Tangerine juice they have in the cooler shelf! Support local ya'all!

Quick service, excellent coffee . Atmosphere welcoming and friendly. Got a pour over coffee and empanada. Both very good although empanada was small for $4.50 that's why 4 star

My new favorite pit stop on the way to San Diego from OC. I LOVE their mint mojito coffee!!! The shop itself is super cute and I can't wait to pass by again to try the empanadas.

Pretty sure this is going to be my new go to coffee spot. Mojito coffee--insane. Bacon empanadas--incredible. Would come here for coffee everyday if my bank account could afford it!!!

Coffee was okay. Tasted fine. But it gave me mad stomach aches and slightly mad bowels. I think the cream was not great.

Great place for coffee and to meet friends. The service was quick, but the pour over was watered down. Will try it again.

Highly recommend getting trying their empanadas. Definitely will be a crowd pleaser at parties :)

I thought they were maybe danish or croissants and then I was told no what we sell is empanadas. Bacon, ham, sausage and I remember thinking, I have never thought of having an empanada for breakfast or lunch. So yesterday, my curiosity got the best of me and I went in after my walk and bought some. All the flavors that I wanted had been sold out and are sold out every day before 10 AM. OK, reboot. I talked to the lovely lovely women behind the counter and then I think the manager or the owner came up to me and said we can sell them to you frozen and you can heat them up at home. So we did for appetizers last night. OMG! They were without a doubt the best new appetizer we have ever had, we could only eat between us three maybe two, but they were so full of flavor and cheese and a little egg and the meats. It's in a little mall next to VG so easy to find a lot of parking on the street and their lot, the service is nothing but smiles and how can I help? This is a rad place and by the way, the coffee is outstanding.

We were seated quickly and the server was really great throughout the whole meal and very knowledgeable about the food. I appreciated that he let us know about the specials without us needing to ask. We started off with some drinks. I got a red wine sangria and it was good but I did find it to taste a bit watered down but it wasn't a huge deal! We also got a carne empanada and the flavor was to die for. The beef and onion was so delicious and savory. It was juicy inside but the outside was crispy and dry not soggy at all. The portion size was fairly large as well. We also got the yuca frites. They were good. Crispy but still nice and starchy and filling. Not my favorite dish but only because of personal preference and not because they didn't do it well! Lastly we ended with the pork shank special they had for the night. It was absolutely amazing. The meat just fell off the bone and was so tender. I loved how the mushroom and spinach came with the pork. All of the different parts of the fish came together really well to made it exceptional. It was a hearty and comforting meal and I wish it were on their regular menu! I'm excited to come here again in the future to try more dishes.

The woman behind the counter told me they had three kinds that day: spinach and cheese, chicken, and beef. I ordered two of each and literally cleaned her out. From the moment I walked in, the place had such an authentic, family-run feel -- you can just tell when food is made with care. She asked if I wanted hot sauce, and I told her I love hot sauce. She handed me both a salsa verde and a salsa rojo, and man... after the very first bite (I started with the chicken), I completely lost my mind. I added the sauces and went to town. Before I knew it, I had eaten all six empanadas. I am ridiculously full right now, but they were so good I honestly couldn't stop myself. If I had ordered a dozen, I would've eaten a dozen. I'm a huge fan of "pudim" that's how you say flan in Portuguese! Yet the flan is not my favorite here since the sugar caramelization it's usually cooked too much, causing a burnt flavor, and the consistency is too aerated rather than having a creamy and smooth consistency. I've tried it a few times and that seems to be their consistent style. We get cravings for this place and like that we're mainly serviced by the nice owners of this restaurant.
