    Mojito special is sooooo good
    Bridget B.

Absolutely loved the iced mojito special from Bump coffee. I usually don't finish my coffees but I finished the entire drink! This place was quiet on a Sunday so service was quick, baristas were friendly, and coffee was delicious. The spot was super cute and beachy. You can't go wrong with this spot!

Walk up and order: coffee and empanadas. It works!

Great breakfast or lunch option when in Cardiff. Opens early, 6:00 am. Great selections and carefully crafted coffee drinks. Freshly made breakfast empanadas that are tasty: both vegetarian and meat. Really tasty yet also pricy. Friendly staff. The place has a loyal following. Prices seemed a tad steep, but doable. Not sure what to make of the large flag. Not bad, just curious about the symbolism. Interesting that one morning when we passed by, there were many law enforcement officers socializing and hanging out. We are not from the area and thought these observations were interesting. Bump is a nice alternative to the coffee and sweets available elsewhere.

    CBDream and empanadas!

Morning CBDream at Bump Coffee hit the spot! It is also my first time trying their empanadas. Highly recommended both Serrano & Egg and Bacon & Egg. I love coming to Bump especially the host was so friendly! Thanks for being a great neighbor shop! There is more than coffee. Ambiance is simple and clean. Check out the Tangerine juice they have in the cooler shelf! Support local ya'all!

    Empanada and coffee

Quick service, excellent coffee . Atmosphere welcoming and friendly. Got a pour over coffee and empanada. Both very good although empanada was small for $4.50 that's why 4 star

We saw this coffee shop while driving down the coast one Saturday morning, so we stopped to check it out. The front street parking was full, so we turned the corner and parked in the neighboring street...short walk back down. Once we walk into the bright, open and airy shop, we were greeted right away with a beautiful friendly smile (always plus points for me!). We looked at their drink menu which was straight forward: Pour Over Coffee, Cold Brew, OJ, and CBDream. They also had a selection empenadas as well. Order up: - Pour Over Coffee - Bacon and egg empanada The coffee was decent and hit the spot, while the empanada was tasty, perfect in size. I saw a gentleman delivering boxes of oranges, so I'm sure their OJ is legit! LOL! Cheers till next time...

My new favorite pit stop on the way to San Diego from OC. I LOVE their mint mojito coffee!!! The shop itself is super cute and I can't wait to pass by again to try the empanadas.

Coffee was okay. Tasted fine. But it gave me mad stomach aches and slightly mad bowels. I think the cream was not great.

Great place for coffee and to meet friends. The service was quick, but the pour over was watered down. Will try it again.

I've had both options and loved the frozen option because I can just pop them in the air fryer or on a pan and whenever I'm craving some of their empanadas! Highly recommend getting trying their empanadas. Definitely will be a crowd pleaser at parties :)

They didn't have some of the steak or pepperoni ones. So the choice is a little limited if there is a larger order before your order. Location : is a bit hot inside Patio: cute and open up where you can take a sit and watch outside while enjoying your empanadas Taste wise: taste is pretty good, a bit expensive for the size and the breading or dough is a bit dry for my taste. The front desk guy is pretty friendly. Out of the three, my favorite is actually the Spanish! It's pretty cheesy too. Just wish there are hot sauces that can pair up with the empanadas. I did tried their little red sauce..it's pretty much tasted just tomatoes sauce in a way. If there were some hot sauces it would had been perfect Overall: I want them to do well, a bit expensive for three of them, and I might stop by when I crave it tho, not the usual tho. Again for the price is a bit expensive for it.

The chicken and blue cheese are tops and they are perfectly cooked. The location is within North City for those who are near CSUSM in San Marcos. They have a cute patio and the owner puts a lot of love into decorating it for the season. I like the lantern lights for ambiance. NOTE: The empanadas are served with a sauce that is like marinara. Although, I like this, I am a big fan of using different sauces and I prefer having chimichurri sauce on hand to pair at home. The space is small and intimate and I think it would be a nice place for a casual date! We were seated quickly and the server was really great throughout the whole meal and very knowledgeable about the food. I appreciated that he let us know about the specials without us needing to ask. We started off with some drinks. I got a red wine sangria and it was good but I did find it to taste a bit watered down but it wasn't a huge deal! We also got a carne empanada and the flavor was to die for. The beef and onion was so delicious and savory. It was juicy inside but the outside was crispy and dry not soggy at all. The portion size was fairly large as well. We also got the yuca frites. They were good. Crispy but still nice and starchy and filling. Not my favorite dish but only because of personal preference and not because they didn't do it well! Lastly we ended with the pork shank special they had for the night. It was absolutely amazing. The meat just fell off the bone and was so tender. I loved how the mushroom and spinach came with the pork. All of the different parts of the fish came together really well to made it exceptional. It was a hearty and comforting meal and I wish it were on their regular menu! I'm excited to come here again in the future to try more dishes.
