Seasonal Sangria, Pretzel w Provolone Fondue, and *Hank's Espresso Martini*
    Michael V.

Drinks - Hank's Espresso Martini 5/5: The cinnamon on top is such a great touch, with a hint of spice from the Licor 43. It was silky smooth and well balanced. I still want to order a gallon of it. - Seasonal Sangria (White) 4.5/5: Refreshing, with a tropical sweetness. Appetizers - Pretzels with Provolone Fondue 4.5/5: Pretzel bites were fresh, soft, and salty. The cheese sauce was savory, creamy, and rich. - Spicy Tuna, Crispy Rice 3/5: They were very bland, with more of a chew than a crisp. Maybe it was just our order, because it seemed like a favorite in other reviews. Entrees - Braised Short Rib 5/5: Falls apart as the fork touches it, melts in your mouth, but with a rich reduction and smashed potatoes that make it even richer. - Roasted Chicken Frites: Really good citrus and buttery garlic flavors, but the chicken was pretty dry, especially since it was skin-on.

What a winner for brunch. Super friendly staff, great outdoor seating that you can bring your dog too and plenty of space to move about. Total relaxed California vibe. From couples to large family groups this is a brilliant place to go with a menu of fantastic dishes that will please everyone. Our drinks were fantastic and the food was absolutely cooked to perfection. The staff there are incredible and make the meal an event you will remember.

We came for a birthday. It's a really cute place and a new so super clean as well. The service was solid. These are the dishes we had. Seabass Korean steak. Fried chicken House salad and shrimp cocktail. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I love dim lighting but it was almost too dark for eating. Maybe an additional lamp in the table? The drinks were a bit pricey with my Tito's martini coming in at $19. No big deal it was a special occasion . We will be back to try more!

We had a lovely dinner with friends last night! Everyone enjoyed their meal and they were very accommodating to my gluten allergy. The Artichoke Ricotta dip did not list as GF but when asked they swapped the bread for a crudités of cucumber carrot and snap pea! Delish! We also shared the chilled shrimp which was also yummy! For mains we had The Sea Bass, Korean Skirt Steak, Chicken frites and the house salad with avocado! There was a little mix up and the seabass did not come out with the other mains but they were apoplectic and comped a beer! All and all we will definitely be back.

We stopped by for Easter brunch. For the holiday, they had their usual brunch menu along with a special cinnamon roll. Service was good, and even though they were pretty busy, they still checked in on us throughout the meal. Our group ordered the cinnamon roll, short rib potstickers, turkey melt French dip, wagyu cheeseburger, and a toasted bagel with cream cheese with a side of bacon and potatoes. We also got coffee lattes (the Rocket, the Cleo, and the Wildflower). Everything was delicious! Our favorite was definitely the cinnamon roll. It was so fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. Honestly, it was one of the best cinnamon rolls we've ever had. They only have it on special occasions, so if you happen to stop by when it's available, I highly recommend getting it. The short rib in the potstickers was super tender, and the house-made wrapper made them melt in your mouth, especially with the ponzu sauce. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the French dip was meaty with an au jus that was a total flavor bomb. The coffee drinks were strong, delicious, and not overly sweet. Honestly, there wasn't a single thing we didn't enjoy. I'm also really happy their brunch menu has more options that don't include egg. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Such a great brunch this morning. The staff here are very attentive and sweet! The food was delicious, fun refreshing cocktails, and I love the interior decor. Very homey and cozy too with an elevated twist. I've only had their breakfast and they threw in a complimentary dessert for my birthday! The lemon olive oil cake with strawberry gelato was soo good. Will have to come back to try their lunch, I kept seeing servers walk by with plates full of yummy food

This place has a darling little patio, heaters to keep you warm and covered but very open and fresh. Food is great, I had a salad with mushrooms, artichoke, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potato and some other yummy things thrown in there. Trust me, if you like this sort of thing, I'm sure this would be a hit. I can't wait to go back! Service was great, iced tea is good, no complaints here. Loved it!

I came for brunch with a group of friends after a pickleball game. It was my first time here and now a new favorite breakfast place. We ordered some appetizers such as the parmesan truffle fries, potstickers, chilled shrimp, some matcha and coffee lattes and a couple of breakfast items like the eggs benedict, flower child scramble and the cinnamon french toast. Every item we tried was delicious! The space itself is gorgeous and the vibes were just right for a fun group brunch. Service was attentive and friendly which made the whole experience even better. The Henry definitely lives up to the hype and I will 100% be back with more friends in tow. Highly recommend!

Great food, perhaps the most amateur service I have ever had. Hostess are very unwelcoming almost in a pretentious way. Service is typically on the slow side. Not sure if it's because they are just simply understaffed or pack too many people in. Inside the restaurant does get quite loud. I've visited a few times, hoping for improvement because they have great food but the service is absolutely unprofessional and rude.

It is so pretty over here. Did you know there was a barista bar? This place offers more than just dine in. Service is so fast even on to-go coffees. I love this location more than the Coronado because it's closer to my house! I have to come back on my birthday with my family, the food is so good and this is one of the most comfortable places to eat and make memories.

One of best brunch spots in Carlsbad! The restaurant is wonderfully decorated and well kept. The staff is very friendly and the food comes out quickly. I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything tasted. I can't wait to come back for dinner and try out the rest of their menu.

Bryce our waiter was absolutely amazing! We came in from Arizona to meet my family. All his recommendations were out of this world. We enjoyed our afternoon and our food. I def suggest to make reservations to beat the long wait. The inside and outside it opened and peaceful. The plates are colorful and presentation is perfection. The dessert was just incredible. Thank you for being kind, present and making us laugh.

Yes you can bring your own wine in! Our corkage fee is $35.

Do they have a birthday special?

I went for my birthday and I got to choose my dessert (for free) and it came with a kit candle. It was darling cute and yummy!

    Is the outdoor seating quiet?

This is a fairly large, busy restaurant. I would not consider it especially quiet in or outside.

My 40th birthday was coming up so we made a reservation. First off, it was on Father's Day so it was super busy. No parking! We went down to golf course to park. They had live music which I love, but music choice was just terrible. It sounded like a rave. When I got to the other side of the patio facing the farm, I thought we would not hear it well. Sadly, you could and the music from the restaurant was also playing ("highway to hell"-not kidding!) it was super over stimulating and uncomfortable to say the least. The music died down eventually, but the sun was in our faces for hours. It was hard to look up and we all had to rotate sides to take turns being blinded. A nice see thru shade would have been so helpful. Our waiter was nice but overly chill. He didn't show much emotion or care that we were there. It also took a long time to order and get food. The restaurant wasn't crazy packed btw, it was the event at the grass that caused no parking. Lastly, the food. We had 3 kiddos but no kids meals available. A spaghetti was offered, but we are gluten free. We had to purchase a $40 tri tip to share. The salad I ordered tasted like salt and arugula only...A few peach pieces here and there and the dressing was some sort of cheese that tasted like saltwater. I'm not a picky eater, but this was disappointing. The tri tips were of good size, but just okay. Potatoes were just okay too. I was given a complementary apple donut dessert (which was kind) but tasted no bueno. The jojos ice cream on top was bomb but the chutney underneath was not good and the donut was dry. Overall, highly disappointed with the vibe, taste, and service! I feel like it's suited best for a couple and to come on a quieter night would have made it a better experience. You have no choice but to sit on patio with a party of 7. Will not return - sadly!! (Our $450 bill was also shocking!) one glass of wine ordered...sigh

Not only were they a delicious delight, but the fact that arrived pre-cut made dividing them up much easier! Our server treated us to a dessert - hot donut dots, which came with tasty dipping sauces. What a sweet treat, literally and figuratively! 2nd Visit - The next time I returned it was to join some family members who were there dining but because I had already eaten, I just joined them for a drink. So this time I got to sit on the inside, which was just as enjoyable. We had a server who was training another server and they both did an outstanding job. It was a first visit for my family members and they were really impressed with what they had eaten and the service. So whether dining inside or outside, the atmosphere is wonderful, the food offerings are delicious and the service is top-notch! I can see this easily becoming a local go-to place when trying to decide where to go with friends.

FYI: They have the best (Brant) burger in town bar none - I love it medium rare - suggest you try the same! Now to the bar. A relaxing place for a mid-day drink or two :) with a great selection of spirits, wine, and beer. The best part is Tessa, a day shift bartender. She knows her profession/craft and makes a great and well balanced pour via a great selection of spirits. She is also friendly and insightful in conversations, adding to a very great overall experience.

Very disappointed with The Roxy--the food was overpriced and boring. My wife had been wanting to go…read moreback for the falafel burger and here we were. We came during lunch, the Italian sub was skimpy on meat and fillings, the falafel burger was just okay, and only the garlic fries were amazing. What really infuriated us: a sneaky 3.95% surcharge fee that popped up out of nowhere on the bill, that was not listed anywhere on the lunch menu. Why insult your guests? If costs are rising, just update the menu prices transparently like a respectable place. Hiding behind a vague surcharge feels deceptive and cheap--it ruined the whole experience. Later we found the surcharge listed at the bottom of the dinner menu. But not on our lunch menu. Are we supposed to scour the menu looking for nonsense fees? My wife was pissed she didn't make a stink about the bill, and will never return. Plenty of better options without these gimmicks. I can't fathom how The Roxy thinks the public likes getting ripped off and feeling foolish. Thanks, Yelp for letting us vent!
