    Specialty espresso martini
    Michelle D.

First let's start with adorable & beautiful staff! Wow makes me miss being young. Service was great! Most delicious espresso martini I've ever had. Short rib potstickers delish! The sushi is fantastic, only wish there was more of it! Cool vibe, great food and fantastic drinks, what's not to love? definitely be back!!

Walked by around 5/5:15 on Thursday 6/18. Asked for a table for 1 for dinner. I was told it would be 1.5 hour wait. The restaurant had maybe 25% of the tables occupied. I reached out to the email on their website and I've received no response. Why have 2 hostesses where it takes them both looking around at the empty space to then determine it will be a 1.5 hour wait. Discriminating much?

Seasonal Sangria, Pretzel w Provolone Fondue, and *Hank's Espresso Martini*
    Michael V.

Drinks - Hank's Espresso Martini 5/5: The cinnamon on top is such a great touch, with a hint of spice from the Licor 43. It was silky smooth and well balanced. I still want to order a gallon of it. - Seasonal Sangria (White) 4.5/5: Refreshing, with a tropical sweetness. Appetizers - Pretzels with Provolone Fondue 4.5/5: Pretzel bites were fresh, soft, and salty. The cheese sauce was savory, creamy, and rich. - Spicy Tuna, Crispy Rice 3/5: They were very bland, with more of a chew than a crisp. Maybe it was just our order, because it seemed like a favorite in other reviews. Entrees - Braised Short Rib 5/5: Falls apart as the fork touches it, melts in your mouth, but with a rich reduction and smashed potatoes that make it even richer. - Roasted Chicken Frites: Really good citrus and buttery garlic flavors, but the chicken was pretty dry, especially since it was skin-on.

What a winner for brunch. Super friendly staff, great outdoor seating that you can bring your dog too and plenty of space to move about. Total relaxed California vibe. From couples to large family groups this is a brilliant place to go with a menu of fantastic dishes that will please everyone. Our drinks were fantastic and the food was absolutely cooked to perfection. The staff there are incredible and make the meal an event you will remember.

We came for a birthday. It's a really cute place and a new so super clean as well. The service was solid. These are the dishes we had. Seabass Korean steak. Fried chicken House salad and shrimp cocktail. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I love dim lighting but it was almost too dark for eating. Maybe an additional lamp in the table? The drinks were a bit pricey with my Tito's martini coming in at $19. No big deal it was a special occasion . We will be back to try more!

We had a lovely dinner with friends last night! Everyone enjoyed their meal and they were very accommodating to my gluten allergy. The Artichoke Ricotta dip did not list as GF but when asked they swapped the bread for a crudités of cucumber carrot and snap pea! Delish! We also shared the chilled shrimp which was also yummy! For mains we had The Sea Bass, Korean Skirt Steak, Chicken frites and the house salad with avocado! There was a little mix up and the seabass did not come out with the other mains but they were apoplectic and comped a beer! All and all we will definitely be back.

We stopped by for Easter brunch. For the holiday, they had their usual brunch menu along with a special cinnamon roll. Service was good, and even though they were pretty busy, they still checked in on us throughout the meal. Our group ordered the cinnamon roll, short rib potstickers, turkey melt French dip, wagyu cheeseburger, and a toasted bagel with cream cheese with a side of bacon and potatoes. We also got coffee lattes (the Rocket, the Cleo, and the Wildflower). Everything was delicious! Our favorite was definitely the cinnamon roll. It was so fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. Honestly, it was one of the best cinnamon rolls we've ever had. They only have it on special occasions, so if you happen to stop by when it's available, I highly recommend getting it. The short rib in the potstickers was super tender, and the house-made wrapper made them melt in your mouth, especially with the ponzu sauce. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the French dip was meaty with an au jus that was a total flavor bomb. The coffee drinks were strong, delicious, and not overly sweet. Honestly, there wasn't a single thing we didn't enjoy. I'm also really happy their brunch menu has more options that don't include egg. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

I came for brunch with a group of friends after a pickleball game. It was my first time here and now a new favorite breakfast place. We ordered some appetizers such as the parmesan truffle fries, potstickers, chilled shrimp, some matcha and coffee lattes and a couple of breakfast items like the eggs benedict, flower child scramble and the cinnamon french toast. Every item we tried was delicious! The space itself is gorgeous and the vibes were just right for a fun group brunch. Service was attentive and friendly which made the whole experience even better. The Henry definitely lives up to the hype and I will 100% be back with more friends in tow. Highly recommend!

    Molten Butter Cake

We went to The Henry for the first time for our anniversary dinner. They gave us a card wishing us a happy anniversary, which I thought was thoughtful. The service we received by our server was exceptional as well. Overall, the food is delicious. However, the portion sizes for the price are disproportionate and too small. - Umami Brussels Sprouts $15 - these were delicious! Would reorder & a good price point. - Pressed Yellowtail Sushi $22 - great, the yellowtail melted in your mouth. - Braised Short Rib $39 - yummy, on the smaller side. - Korean Prime Skirt Steak $43 - delicious, but such a small portion. - Mac & Cheese side $11 - good but SO TINY! Typically sides are shareable, but this was smaller than a kids meal. It was shocking how little your receive and it's definitely not shareable. - Molten Butter Cake $15 - a disappointment. I thought "molten" meant it had a filling inside, but no. It's just a normal butter cake. Would not reorder. The environment and ambiance was nice and a perfect date night. They do not have dessert wines, such as a ruby port, which was a disappointment. Overall though, we would recommend. Next time we'll try out the bar for a quick dine.

Great food, perhaps the most amateur service I have ever had. Hostess are very unwelcoming almost in a pretentious way. Service is typically on the slow side. Not sure if it's because they are just simply understaffed or pack too many people in. Inside the restaurant does get quite loud. I've visited a few times, hoping for improvement because they have great food but the service is absolutely unprofessional and rude.

Such a great brunch this morning. The staff here are very attentive and sweet! The food was delicious, fun refreshing cocktails, and I love the interior decor. Very homey and cozy too with an elevated twist. I've only had their breakfast and they threw in a complimentary dessert for my birthday! The lemon olive oil cake with strawberry gelato was soo good. Will have to come back to try their lunch, I kept seeing servers walk by with plates full of yummy food

It is so pretty over here. Did you know there was a barista bar? This place offers more than just dine in. Service is so fast even on to-go coffees. I love this location more than the Coronado because it's closer to my house! I have to come back on my birthday with my family, the food is so good and this is one of the most comfortable places to eat and make memories.

Chicken sandwich with truffle fries and sweet potato salad

This place has a darling little patio, heaters to keep you warm and covered but very open and fresh. Food is great, I had a salad with mushrooms, artichoke, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potato and some other yummy things thrown in there. Trust me, if you like this sort of thing, I'm sure this would be a hit. I can't wait to go back! Service was great, iced tea is good, no complaints here. Loved it!

So glad I stopped by this coffee shop! I always appreciate one that roasts their own coffee beans…read more I think it makes them stand out and much more unique than the others. I tried one of their summer specials, an Iced Banana Maple Latte with soy milk. I loved how bold and intense the flavor of the coffee was without it being overwhelming; however, I did not taste the banana or maple flavors at all. It just tasted like a straight up sweetened iced latte. Don't get me wrong, it's a great latte. But I guess I was just expecting to get more of the banana and maple flavors, especially since I was pretty excited about that flavor combination. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the ambiance was great. I love that they have their roasting machine right where people can observe and watch the process if they wanted to. They have ample tables and chairs indoor, and a few outdoor as well. I'm pretty sure I'll be coming back here. I'll probably try the Caramel Cream Latte next time.

"Addison's Brunch"…read more Placed perfectly along the sunkissed Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas is a quaint brunch spot serving up culinary wizardry. I've gotten the chance to visit a few times and I'm always impressed with how they balance serious cooking with approachable flavors. Chef Andrew Bachelier (Addison, Jeune et Jolie, Campfire) brings his take on a foodie workshop that dazzles with amazing brunch food and an imaginative drinks bar. The food was phenomenal. Turkish Eggs were super flavorful and fresh. Almost like eating an herby ramen egg on crusty toast with all the fresh herbs and chili oil. The hamachi crudo was delicate and fresh. The pork chop was sumptuous with an excellent sauce. But my favorite had to be the sourdough french toast. It actually blew my mind how the outside was crispy and crackley but the inside was moist, gooey but not mushy. I heard from the waiter they soak the bread in a custard or syrup for 72 hrs to get that texture and yet the outside is crispy. Sorcery. In short, this is the brunch spot of all brunch spots, combining michelin star level cooking with beloved breakfast foods. This place really punches above its weight class and I highly recommend checking it out! Best Bite: French Toast

Really enjoyed my visit to Atelier Manna!!…read more First, they are now TAKING RESERVATIONS. We didn't realize that until morning of. It's easier for them and easier for us - they can count how many people are coming & you don't have to worry about waiting an hour. Vibes are great. Food is lovely (though expensive!). My fave dish was the amazing summer porridge. Sure it's $32 for the dish - but this is a Michelin-quality place (Bib Gourmand, not a star) so not for every day and it was delicious. Basically like a risotto, ate every grain. Check out the gorgeous pic! People are high on the Turkish eggs - but I thought they were meh, and tiny for $23. Not one of the best values here, IMHO. We wanted to try the vaunted French toast, but they had run out by the time of our reservation. On the recommendation of our server & my friend Jiansen in his review here, we also ordered the Pistachio Bread Pudding. It was beautiful, tasty, light and photo worthy! And also on Jiansen's rec, I tried the jasper, which was like a cold coffee mocktail on the rocks (steady state coffee. cherry. chaga. vanilla. rose vinegar. lemon). Tasty and interesting! We really liked the vibes too. They take reservations for 1:30 pm, though they're closing technically at 2. The manager (whose name I am forgetting - but he is from Philly and super nice!) told us "they don't close" and we could sit and enjoy & not be in their way while they closed up, but a few of the other staff members seemed to be wanting us to leave. So keep that in mind if you get one of the last reservations; lingering with a friend might be a bit challenging. But we had a great time, and I especially enjoyed the summer porridge. I'll definitely come again (and know I should make a reservation) - but it's probably better to come earlier before they run out of anything & before we're in their way while they're cleaning up! Oh - and parking can be a real challenge. Come early and check out the side streets!
