My husband and I had brunch here on a Friday morning. We were seated inside. The tables looked clean but sticky for some reason. I ordered decaf coffee and my husband had black coffee. I ordered a make-my-own omelette (5 toppings to choose) with egg white, light Swiss cheese, spinach, mushrooms, onions, and turkey sausage w/ hash brown for my side. My husband had the Easy Morning with egg white, turkey, sausage, and hash brown. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Aside from the presentation, I enjoyed the flavor of my omelette that I didn't need additional seasonings. My husband's was content with his dish. Our meal was about $50 w/o tip. Comfortable clean and friendly cafe. Stopped in for a late breakfast. Husband had Cherizo, it was so good I couldn't stop snacking off his plate. The salsa was fresh and homemade. Situated by a park and occupying a strip mall full of other dining choices it was a nice place. Easy to park. Lots of outdoor seating. Friendly enough hostess. Very nice server. Clean. I thought the menu was a great variety. My friend ordered the The Mug Chilakiles and her mom ordered the ORO Pancakes. The Chilakiles were great!!! The flavors were really good and the green salsa had just the right amount of punch! I liked the pancakes as well but my friend thought they were a little dry. I would definitely recommend. Oh! The service was good, they all checked on us multiple times and were very nice. The food didn't take too long to come out and it was very good. The banana cinnamon pancakes were an absolute must. Super cute little patio area. A surprise little food area in the heart of business buildings. Staff was incredibly sweet checking on us often. I got eggs rancheros with their potatoes. Staff did not check in if I needed anything with my meal. Place was not busy at all. There were a few tables with customers but no one was requesting anything. I ordered an omelette and 10/10 times at any sit down restaurant I've been to the waiter/waitress asks if I need anything else. I also ordered a regular drip coffee and not once did anyone come by and offer to pour me a refill. Even asking if I would like my cup topped off shouldn't be a question and that goes back to when I was a kid and hearing family & friends tell me that pouring coffee refills is part of excellent service should not be new in the customer service realm. Did this change overnight? If this is your restaurant policy then I wasn't aware. I give a rating of 3/5 because at least the omelette with the black beans I ordered was good. We had a great meal here. I had had the Country Breakfast, and it came with duck breast that was fantastic. I also had the biscuit with gravy, which was pretty darned good, and my folks are from Alabama so I've had plenty of biscuits and gravy during my life! For a breakfast place, this has a few major shortcomings: 1) the hash browns are inedible. It's like thin frozen patties that were reheated. No flavor, no crisp. Just blah. 2) no coffee options other than just coffee. No barista, no specialty drinks. There are so many other places nearby that at least offer a more robust coffee menu. 3) avocado toast is served on basically white bread. Not sure where this sourdough is from, but it was flavorless and under toasted, making the entire dish a bit soggy. Not what you want from avocado toast. I won't be back, especially since there are better options around. EDIT: The rude response from the owner is all the more reason to take your business elsewhere. Don't blame the patrons of the business for not asking for bread choices or sending back the food (I did ask for the hash browns to be extra crispy, but they were still soggy in the middle). Restaurant ownership requires the ability to take feedback and make things better, not be condescending to the customer who wrote a review. read more

Pretty sure i was the only customer around, they had only one order to make when i was present. I ordered to go but just went to a nearby park to eat, so the food did not sit for more than 3-5 minutes before it was opened. Apparently this is their idea of "extra crispy" hash browns. Also probably the worst biscuits and gravy i have ever tasted. Most biscuits and gravy kindof just is what it is, with some restaraunts actually creating something above and beyond. I think this is the first time ive ever actually disliked this dish anywhere. Plus they burned the biscuits. The staff were very friendly. 5 stars for the staff. Having said that, our breakfast was awful. My husband and I both ordered the biscuits and gravy. (Having eaten Southern biscuits and gravy my whole life, I know what it should taste like). I don't think I have ever seen tasted gravy like that! It was a very strong and odd tasting gravy. The flavor was unusual, reminded me of a wild mushroom gravy, something you might serve over a hamburger patty. Because you would never pour that over a good steak. (Although we wouldn't have eaten it no matter how it was served). My husband will eat just about anything. But he absolutely hated it. We couldn't even finish it. The eggs were overcooked. Ordered takeout in the morning. Unfortunately, my steak and eggs were missing the eggs, and the toast was soggy from being packed in with the steak. I didn't realize until I got to my destination, and no one answered when I called multiple times. That said, management did end up refunding my meal, which I really appreciate. I like to venture out and try new places, but this one was a miss from the start. The table was sticky, and the coffee didn't taste organic even though the server insisted it was. That should've been my sign to leave. When the food came, the presentation was messy and the flavor was even worse. I ended up returning nearly my entire order for everyone in my party. To make matters worse, while I was explaining my concerns, the waiter referred to my son as "she." Even though he's clearly a boy! Little guy is shredded with clear muscle definitions for his age how can you mistake him for a girl? Anyway, He got checked real quick and he corrected himself and apologized, but then ended with "whatever," which really sealed the deal on the bad service. I let it go because English clearly was his 1st language; he probably doesn't fully understand the context of how that comes across in the situation. Truthfully, I came and left without eating. I arrived and wasn't sure if I was suppose to seat myself or wait. Only saw one person waiting on people and she didn't seem very communicative or friendly. Truthfully if you smile and give me a glass of water and cup of coffee- I'll wait for my food. Last Friday, I just didn't feel I wanted to wait for a place I didn't feel welcomed at. The menu was extension- too much actually for me as I prefer smaller menu done well/ especially for breakfast which I pretty basic. The prices seemed high/ but if really good I have paid 30$ for a meal. I didn't see many meals on the tables and the ambience was pretty basic although there was inside and outside choices.
