I had some friends in from out of town who were staying up the street so I looked up a good breakfast place on Yelp and that is what brought us here. The breakfast mug did not disappoint. Situated by a park and occupying a strip mall full of other dining choices it was a nice place. Easy to park. Lots of outdoor seating. Friendly enough hostess. Very nice server. Clean. I thought the menu was a great variety. My friend ordered the The Mug Chilakiles and her mom ordered the ORO Pancakes. The Chilakiles were great!!! The flavors were really good and the green salsa had just the right amount of punch! I liked the pancakes as well but my friend thought they were a little dry. I would definitely recommend. Oh! And dog friendly!!! We brought a dog and it was no problem.

Came here for a quick breakfast in Carlsbad. We were seated quickly on a Saturday morning. Service was okay. Portions were HUGE! I almost wish they put a disclaimer or some photos because I unfortunately did not have room to take anything to go. I can't say anything blew my mind, but food was pretty good. Definitely come hungry, or plan to share!

Easy Morning - Two eggs any style, served with choice of bacon or turkey links and pancake or french toast

Really great food! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the pancakes and waffles were so sweet and delicious. Would have given 5 stars but the French toast was dry and the home fries were really greasy. The service was great and our server was attentive. The patio was quiet and enjoyable. We loved it and will be back!

Continues to be our go-to for breakfast/brunch. It always has a chill vibe and we love the choice of sitting indoors or out in their larger patio area to enjoy our food al fresco. All the dishes we've tried are freshly made, of quality ingredients & full-flavored. The best part is their awesome staff, especially Omar & Christian. They're always so kind and welcoming. This place is truly a hidden gem, great location, great food, great value and great people.

Super cute little patio area. A surprise little food area in the heart of business buildings. Staff was incredibly sweet checking on us often. I got eggs rancheros with their potatoes. Yum and my daughter got the breakfast burrito. Good portions and everything was great. Seemed to be a popular takeout option as well.

The food was good. The service was okay. We asked her to split the bill but she had an attitude about and told us to figure it out ourselves. The place wasn't very busy. It's a casual restaurant. The French toast was so good. They do serve big portions.

Ambiance..cute place Service..friendly service and family owned and I like that Food...ranchero eggs..was so amazing and so much flavour..perfect size. So reasonable too. I also got th3 chai Brule drink and it was good and not too sweet.

The service I received at the Breakfast Mug was exceptional. My server was Paula and she was very attentive and kind. The food came out in less than 10 mins. I would give it a 8/10 just because it was a little bland. Overall, I would definitely come here again, they have really good pancakes too!

Walking up there was a bit of a line but it was moving at a fair pace. It gave us the opportunity to really read the menu above the register well. There's both outdoor and indoor seating. And both areas were pretty full with a bustling vibe. There were specialty drinks so I wanted to try the Pistachio latte but they were out so we ended up trying the Left Coast latte, Vanilla Bean latte, a plain bagel and Lil Dippers. The lattes were wonderful. Smooth and tasty. The Lil Dippers (mini burritos) were pretty substantial and the plain bagel surprisingly was the best we've ever had at any coffee place. SO good! Great taste and perfect texture. It was unfortunate though that the cream cheese cup that comes with it didn't suffice. It wasn't at all enough for a good ratio. And to think that at one point my bagel was forgotten by the employees. I would've missed out! Overall, we're so glad we went, it was worth it!

Definitely a great space to work, study, meet up with a few friends or family. A few tables inside and outside for seating options. This is probably the easiest location to find parking though! The barista we recently experienced was kind but definitely needed help as it was just her taking orders and making drinks. It did take a while to get everything made and we even had to give our order multiple times for each item for her to process it in their POS system. If it was busier it would have been an even longer wait, thank goodness it was just us. I love the Jimi Hendrix as my usual, but I decided to switch it up once I saw they had brown sugar spice latte on their seasonal menu. It was as delicious as expected. Not as strong as the Jimi Hendrix, but just as flavorful. My husband has his regular latte and loved it as usual. We just love their specific coffee for espresso. Their baked goods here are as lovely as other locations. Everything is made in house too. I love their variety of options, especially their vegan/gluten free options. Something for everyone! I had the raspberry gluten free muffin and my husband had the jalapeño cheddar cheese croissant. Couldn't even tell the muffin was gluten free it was SO moist! I was lucky to get a bite of the croissant before my husband devoured it all. Definitely made in house and a real layered croissant. It's a very small but cute place, a miniature of the bigger Pannikin off Highway 101 in Encinitas. There's a couple of small tables on its patio and more inside. It's a great place to meet a friend or two for coffee. I went 2 days in a row, Friday afternoon and mid-morning on Saturday and both times weren't busy at all. The baristas are warm & friendly, and gave us a choice of using ceramic cups and/or plates if dining in or to-go containers. Their coffee is one of the best around and they sell their coffee beans here. They also have various baked goods they make on site which I was excited for, because their scones are my absolute favorite, especially the raspberry. So happy to have found this place and recommended it to family and friends. We'll definitely be back!

My personal favorites are the ham and gruyère baguette and the Pizza Florentine, and their cookies are dangerously good. I compared their regular butter croissant with other "French" ones, and this one wins by a huge margin: airy, fluffy, just enough sweetness. They recently expanded in their main location, now you can get a sandwich, coffee and pizza. They also collaborate with other local vendors and you can find some unique items in their fridge. But here's the kicker--she orders her coffee plain, simple, and black. To me? It tastes exactly like every other coffee in the world. (Don't bean me, it's just the truth!) Despite my lack of enthusiasm for bean water, we recently checked out Revolution Roasters, and I figured it was time to espresso my thoughts on the place. Spoiler alert: It was a pretty brew-tiful experience. Since I'm not a coffee guy, I let my wife handle the beverage department. She ordered an Iced Cold Brew and gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up. She said it was really good, which means Revolution Roasters is definitely doing something right to keep the coffee purists happy. Now, onto my territory, the White Chocolate Scone was a hit with the wife because it wasn't too sweet. If you prefer your pastries without a side of sugar shock, this is the one for you. However, full disclosure: if you're standing there debating between this scone and the savory pot pie from the shop right across the way... I'm going with the pot pie. Sorry, scone. I also ordered the Berry & Cream Cheese Toast, which was the real MVP. Again, it wasn't overly sweet, and they nailed the ratio. There was a perfectly even, generous spread of cream cheese and berry topping. Highly recommend! Revolution Roasters is located in a super cool, market-style space filled with other neat little shops. It makes for a great, lively atmosphere. When we walked in, the line was pretty long--clearly, the secret is out. But don't let a crowd deter you! The service was incredibly smooth and helpful, and they've got the operation down to a science. Plus, despite the crowd, there was actually adequate seating for a ton of people. We didn't have to play the awkward "hover around a table until someone leaves" game. While the vibes are immaculate, there is one tiny logistical hurdle. For a coffee shop that gets this busy, there is only one bathroom. If you've just downed a large iced brew, you might have to practice some patience. All in all, Revolution Roasters ground its way into our good graces. Between the smooth service, the cool market atmosphere, and food that hits the spot, I could definitely see us filtering back in here again soon. Whether you love coffee or you're just there for the toast, it's well worth a visit!

She wouldn't give a to go box like they usually do. It came off super cheap. She told me to just cover it with a lid even tho I told her I had a dog in the car that would eat it and it was chocolate sprinkle. Traditionally they stop and make the coffee and then move on to the next guest. She was in a really bad mood so she kept taking donut orders until about 5 guests deep. Then she got 2 other coffee orders so she stopped to make coffee. About 10 to 15 minutes after I paid for my other order she makes my dirty chai. A kid and a mom are right by the counter. The kid grabs my drink and spills it on the counter and on the floor. She sees this. It's right in front of her. She says oh no that's not yours. Then she wipes it off and tries to pass it off to me like I didn't see. I said no, you're not going to re make it? She goes no, it's not my fault he spilled it. I was like I want a refund. She goes why. I'm like the drink spilled and you didn't even offer or try to remake it. This place had really gone downhill. Service is awful.
