Loved our visit to Beach Break Cafe! The pancake sandwich was so yummy--such a fun and delicious twist on breakfast. The ambiance was casual, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing meal. Service was also super fast, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when craving a good breakfast!

Parking lot is small. Portions are a good size, but food was just okay. Restaurant is big, with outdoor seating and surf theme is cool. I've been here before and the food was amazing, but today it lacked flavor and wait staff weren't that friendly. Gave them 4 stars because of all of my experiences here, but my last trip was really just a 3 star. Coffee cake is a must and the killer burrito is my go to order.

This place has a nice chill vibe. The menu is large as well so lots of options. I enjoyed my omelette. Nothing spectacular but decent food. Overall a great place in a good location. Service was also good.

We all met for breakfast this morning Our 1st. Time here very busy here the wait was 25 minutes. Not to bad but very crowded but inside a big waiting area. We wanted pancakes 2 of us my cousin and I but they weren't fluffy and a little rubbery. Syrup was watery but the Bacon was great And coffee cake was the star! 5/5 We really enjoy the coffee cake Eggs Benedict were great Corn beef hash was amazing too big order Tea was good hot water good teas. The coffee was just coffee She said on weak side.

There's a reason this place has reviews like that. I'm not a big breakfast food fan but this definitely made me one. The corned beef hash had GENEROUS amount of beef. Not overloaded with carbs. I loved every bite. And biscuits and gravy were phenomenal as well. The coffee cake is a little sweet but that's my personal preference. The cake itself was very moist. Would definitely come back every time we go to SD.

I used to be a big brunch person but over the years I have had a lot of disappointing experiences. Now it's rare I go anymore. A friend had a doctors appointment she needed a ride to so I happily obliged. After the appointment she wanted to go get breakfast and this was her choice. I have always heard good things about beach break, but it's a little bit out of the way from where I live so I've never made it there. There was one space left in the lot when we arrived, perfect. When we walked in, it wasn't too busy there was plenty of seating and no line.. We waited a few minutes but it was fun taking in all the surf/skate decor. We were seated in a big cushy booth and coffee was offered immediately. We both obliged. The menu is pretty extensive so we did have a bit of a hard time deciding everything sounds so good. Prices are reasonable comparably. Our server came back to check on us multiple times while we were trying to decide. Finally, we decided to split the Greek omelet and for our two sides, we each got a piece of coffee cake that my friend had raved about. While we waited, I continued to look around at all the different memorabilia on the wall walls. It's very cool. Our food came quickly and it was very tasty. The omelette had just the right amount of tomatoes and herbs and cheese. While the coffee cake was absolutely as she had described. It was a nice size as well. Our server kept our coffee full and continued to check on us. All in all it was an enjoyable experience and I will definitely come back here for breakfast brunch again I can't believe I waited so long.

Love this place! It's an Oceanside staple! I get the Santa Fe omelette it has chorizo cheese avocado & salsa/sour cream on top, so delicious and so are the homestyle potatoes yum! It comes with a side coffee cake & I love that they always have tangerine juice. The breakfast is great I still need to try lunch items so I'll be back.

Everything was good, as always except we didn't care for the potato pancakes. Nothing changes here... I love that!

I'm very disappointed , I was really looking forward to a good brunch and classic favorites but this is not it . Soggy waffles biscuits, and gravy with no meat and a brown gravy sauce. But on the other hand, we did have two people ordered lunch things and they were good the chicken enchilada surprisingly the sauce was pretty damn good. And that burger was something I'd eat again , but breakfast never again !

From the moment I walked in I felt like I stepped back in time. Lots of old surfing, memorabilia, including surfboards skateboards and pictures. Very cute place..We were seated right away. Friendly server. I ordered the huevos rancheros. First time I've ever had that dish and it was good. Hashbrowns came with it and they were very good, nice and crispy. Oh and the hot sauce on the table is very good. Excellent breakfast place.

Cute restaurant, yet slow to be offered drinks and to order. Friendly service once we were served. The food was just okay, except for the delicious, warm coffee cake. The bathroom murals are absolutely adorable and my favorite part of the restaurant. There was also no toilet paper.

Everything was delicious and portions were huge! The servers were all very attentive and the food came out quickly. The breakfast platters came with sides and the sides were also huge. Highly recommend getting the coffee cake as oneof the sides because it was delectable and came out warm!

This place is so amazing! Awesome vibes and decors. Surfboards hung and awesome surfing photos all over ! They had huge space inside and outside seating. People are so nice here and the portions were big! I got the açaí bowl, super refreshing. Pancakes tasted different than your typical buttermilk, it was more sweeter and more airy and melty almost !

Do they serve, gluten-free pancakes, gluten-free French toast, or gluten-free waffles?

I've never seen anything on the menu or the specials board for gluten free option for waffles, French toast or Pancakes. I'm sure there is something on their great menu that is gluten free and will satisfy your hunger! Enjoy!!

Hi, can you tell me if they serve gluten-free pancakes, waffles or GF French toast?

It was busy during lunch but we were lucky and snagged a booth. The menu offers classic diner fare - all day breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Au jus was perfect and the horseradish (I opted for the creamy kind) was the cherry on top. I was fortunate enough to try a couple bites of their cinnamon roll and if you like cinnamon rolls, theirs tops Cinnabon! Service is efficient, friendly, and no nonsense. I decided to order a half order of biscuit and gravy (gravy on the side), my side choice was fruit and I ordered sausage patties on the side. Berry Crunch French Toast, same thing. Our friends ate the Stratford Scramble and it was just 3/5 as well. PRICE - considering the food is nothing special, I wondered why we are paying a higher price for it. Definitely overpriced unless you really care about eating at the harbor, looking at the water through some dirty glass. SERVICE - their current set up is to take your order, take your money, and give you a number. That would fine and dandy except that the girl who was taking orders ALSO had to play bartender. The line seems to be so long and take forever because she'll take your order, then spend 5 minutes making drinks or doing something else before taking the next person's order. Maybe this is their way to handle the traffic because tables are full and maybe they are down staff members. Either way, I was disappointed at the speed/organization. HEALTH CODE VIOLATION - the cherry on top to all of this happened since I had so much time in line to observe. The girl taking orders would take an order, process payment by touching the POS system, then scoop ice into a glass for the drink she was making (this time was a Bloody Mary), handle bottles of alcohol, and FINALLY, touch the bacon and garnishes for the Bloody Mary all without washing her hands. No doubt there have been many hands that have touched all of those things and contaminated them, all for her to touch food at the end without washing her hands. The POS system is also about 10 feet away from the bathroom so all of this adds up to something that seems risky and needs to be fixed.
