We stayed walking distance to Buccaneer Cafe and are so glad we made it a point to go Thursday morning for coffee and breakfast! Everything was delicious and it was a mixture of locals and visitors starting their day! We showed up around 8:30am and the line just never slowed, but you would never be able to tell by how quickly the drinks and food came out!! We would have loved to get merch from here but because it was drizzling early morning they put it away and said they would bring it out, but she never has a chance!! I mean, good for them! Bummer for us to not get a cool souvenir from our visit! Right across from Lifeguard stand #11 with lots of space on the shore to grab a spot with a towel or chairs to sit and enjoy your food and coffee. Looking for something close to the Body Shop I was at, and thankfully, this place wasn't too far away. As soon as I arrived, there was a line for this place. Must be good for it to have a line. This is my all time favorite açai bowl place. It's a right across from the beach in Oceanside at Buccaneer park. Excellent service and food comes out fairly fast. It's usually pretty crowded when I go here, but it wasn't bad on the day we went. I always order the privateer which includes two scoops of açai, granola, blueberries, bananas, strawberries, coconut, and honey. I also got peanut butter on it. I split a carne asada breakfast burrito with my daughter. So good! It had scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and fries, and of course the Carne Asada. My family opted to try this spot on our last day in Oceanside. We drove by it a couple times and noticed the crowd every morning, so we said why not. Convenient location good food and great staff. The attached restrooms are disgusting. As you try and enjoy your breakfast, the smell of urine overtakes the enjoyment. I'm not sure if the restrooms belong to the Cafe, but if so, they should have them cleaned. If they belong to the city, I would be demanding they clean and paint them.
