I liked the location of this cafe right on a small beach in Oceanside. It's near a lot of other cafes/coffee shops, but this one is still a great choice. Service was friendly but quite slow, which is fine because it's a beach shop. My bacon burrito, smoothie, and Mexican mocha were delicious, and the free salsa was amazing. The price is quite reasonable. My only complaint is this: I am pretty upset that the menu said my burrito would come with fries, and it didn't. Maybe it meant the fries would be on the burrito? If so, that's very misleading, and I didn't notice any fries on it. read more

Ordered a taco bar for 27 people down from Seal Beach Yacht Club and took to the Oside harbor for a dock party. A local foodie friend had recommended. I was hoping they would like it. Buccaneer cafe is a little gem just steps from the beach. This super casual, order up place is perfect to grab a bite and hang across the street. They have a few tables and stools, but not very much. I've had a little bit of a few things here, you really can't beat it. Food and coffee (or tea) by the beach? It's perfect. The menu is pretty extensive. You can get your regular cup of coffee to ordering pancakes for kids. I've tried: * Soyrizo burrito. They don't skimp on this burrito at all! It's PACKED with soyrizo, eggs and crispy fries. Mmmmm so good, one of the best I've had. * Acai bowl. The portion is legit. A good amount of acai with the fruit toppings. Although I would've preferred fresh fruit instead of frozen. My strawberries weren't thawed so they were a bit icy. * Cafe Cubano. I tend to gravitate to this drink when I'm here. Giving them 4 stars. The food was good. I had the avocado toast. -1 star because the girl working there sprayed chemicals to clean the table while I was sitting there. Plus the breeze just made it get all on me. That's all I could smell and it was terrible so I had to leave. Ruined the time I was having there. It does have some picnic tables where you may sit at but I noticed it can get full pretty quickly. We came here twice on our vacation because the breakfast was so good! I tried a couple of dishes, but the kitchen sink burrito was my favorite! My sister-in-law really loved the avocado toast and my husband enjoyed the oatmeal with fruit. One of the best parts though is the location! It's just a little stand right next to a really cool part of the beach where the waves crash and roll down past a lot of loose rocks. It's absolutely beautiful and such a vibe. The girl at the register had no personality it took her a couple minutes to acknowledge me and when she did, I didn't even get a good morning or a hi. $65 for 3 burritos (flavor less) one with no eggs a mediocre mocha and a kids pancake with fruit, not worth it. Sucks because the first time we were here, about a year ago, the food was delicious and they had really good customer service. Definitely won't be recommending this place again. It was very crowded, with a long line of people ahead on a rainy Saturday morning. The employees were all very friendly. I got the kitchen sink breakfast burrito and a chai latte. Everything came out in about 15 minutes, which was reasonable for how busy they were. The burrito was pretty large and came cut in half. It consisted of sausage, bacon, ham, eggs, cheese, and fries. It was pretty tasty and filling. I didn't care too much for their salsa, but still enjoyed the burrito. It wasn't the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, but I did enjoy it and would rate it as slightly above average. It was a nice treat with an ocean view. read more

My husband and I decided we wanted breakfast this morning and chose this place because of course we wanted to support a small local business and their food is good,but we soon realized they don't cater to POC.our food came out quick but our coffees were taking long so I went to the front to let the girl know she said "sorry my fault" after we were already waiting for 15 minutes we proceed to wait another 15 minutes and nothing, mind you by then my food was already cold and all the people that were in line with us were done eating and leaving so I decide to go up there to cancel and get my money refunded and suddenly "my coffees were ready". I'm an Oceanside local and I'm saddened by this I'll make sure to let everyone I know about my incident and not recommend. The breakfast taco is a must! I ordered the one with Kailua pork. You can't tell with the toppings, but there was a generous amount of meat. I loved how the tortilla had a nice crisp because with all the juices, the tortilla held up and didn't break. The hot sauce that comes with it was mild and very flavorful.
