This spot has a big menu and even bigger seating areas. Whatever vibe you are looking for this spot has it. You can sit in th front on the porch, inside on a couch, or in the back with the sunshine. Really nice aesthetic, and super good avocado toast. I came a bit later in the day but my matcha was filled with so much foam. I took a photo for reference before I took a sip. I do not need matcha foam. I even order whole milk so it's not like I got expensive oat or something. It is what it is, I'll say something next time I go. Really enjoyed the vibe here and the food menu looks really good so I'll definitely be back into he future to try more stuff

I come to Pannikin Oceanside for the vibes, not the food and drink. I like the merch they sell. Everything else is just barely okay. But it's so cute! Service is bleh. They have great indoor and 4 areas of outdoor seating. It's a great place to meet a date and compare your taste in food and decor. Or to meet your notary. I keep trying different things and it's never that great but I love the historic building and the great furniture they kept from Bunker House.

A nice little neighborhood shop to pop into! My family and I stayed in Oceanside, CA for the week. Pannikin was right around the corner from our Airbnb and was how we started our day! The coffee and pastries are nice, lots of options. HUGE cups of coffee. But what was really helpful was the turf area behind the shop! It offered a place for us to sit, enjoy our coffee and let our adventurous 8 month old crawl around. This was a helpful, family-friendly space. This is a lovely little spot and offered our family a morning coffee routine!

So happy this preserved bank location (prior coffee shop) was selected for Pannikin! They've really updated the space and surrounding patios and I love that Pannikin is now closer to me too. It's very easy to walk to and park near (if you find open parking in downtown). They have two entrances so you can access the shop from two different streets (Cleveland and Civic Center). The line doesn't seem as crazy here usually, but the baristas are quite fast with drinks so that probably helps to keep their constant customer flow going. In my recent visit, my husband and I ordered the cafe Mexican mocha and the iced Keith Richards, respectively. My go to is the Jimi Hendrix, but I decided to switch it up. First, I have to say I love that they gave me my iced coffee in their hot cups but that they doubled the cups so my coffee would stay colder longer (and wouldn't drink everywhere). It was great to use! I did enjoy the Keith Richard's, but I really do love that shot of hazelnut in the Jimi Hendrix. This location did make the drink exactly as expected too, great quality at every location. My husband really enjoyed his Mexican mocha as well. Honestly what's not to like? Can't wait to be regulars again at this location!

One of my favorite places to come a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth the freshness and the flavors

Pannikin has a really inviting space and friendly staff. It's a great place if you plan to study or do work or just hangout. I'm not a big fan of the drinks, there's a burnt taste whenever I've ordered an espresso beverage. Pannikin is not a bad choice if you happen to be in the area or you want a space to study, but there are better coffee shops in the area.

Really liked this place! It was pretty quiet inside with lots of seating offered. Definitely want to come back!

Ordered take out. An iced strawberry latte with oat milk + raspberry pastry bar= both were delicious. The pastry bar was very sweet, but not bad with coffee. Service was pretty quick today. Inside was fairly busy and more vintage feel. Parking is on the street, but downtown Oside can get pretty busy, so parking in the structure right across from Pannikin would be best (2h paid parking).

You can choose between a cone, a cup or even some flavors are available in their adorable ice cream tacos! My first time there, I got "things & stuff" flavor which is peanut butter pretzel-y flavor in a cone! So good! The taste is unmatched and the quality ingredients are evident. Second time around I chose the "let them eat cake" flavor which is a birthday cake flavor. I loved it. Portable, fun, and definitely delicious. It was a warm day and did not melt all over the place because the ice cream was insulated in the taco "cone". The shop is clean, cute, and bright. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the the flavors, ingredients and will help you if you have trouble deciding! Parking in this area can be a challenge, but at 3pm on a Monday, I found a spot. Definitely plan to walk a little bit if you come on the weekends, but that's part of the adventure!

Spring Fling is one of their seasonal flavors of matcha and lime. It was an enjoyable combo and not too overwhelming in lime flavor. Things+Stuff contains pretzel cream and peanut butter. The scoop itself contained a decent amount of mix ins. There are so many interesting flavors to try with locally sourced ingredients. I hope to stop by again!

My fiancée & I had seen Parlor Doughnuts numerous times after the Oceanside Sunset Market. & every single 1 of those times, we were already too full from grazing at all the food stands by then to give it a try. So on a Saturday afternoon, when we just happened to be nearby, we popped in for some impulse buy doughnuts. With a staggering variety of delicious looking toppings/ flavors, the possibilities looked enticingly intriguing. Staff behind the counter was friendly attentive, & helpful. Although there are some savory options available, which seemed to me like pizza toppings on doughnuts, we stuck with sweet: maple bacon & bourbon caramel. Tried & true flavor combinations, both. But the dough, whoa. For starters, the 2 doughnuts we got didn't have holes. That actually makes a difference in how the doughnut cooks. Secondly, the dough ate more like bread dough than a doughnut. Doughnuts have a hole for a reason. You see, it's physics, son. When you consider how thermodynamics affects an oblate spheroid vs. a toroidal sphere, it becomes evident that a doughnut without a hole will not cook evenly throughout inside. In fact, this was specifically proven on MasterChef Canada Season 8, Episode 8 during a doughnut pressure test. In that episode, Andres forgot to put holes in his doughnuts & they were undercooked in the center. Hey, I did start this review with admitting I'm a nerd who watches too many cooking competition shows. Uniform doneness aside, there was also the breadiness. If I'd been told these doughnuts were some kind of new take on Pan Dulce, maybe I would've liked them more. But given the expectation of a doughnut, what I tried at Parlor Doughnuts just wasn't it. The staff was great, & the toppings were fine. But with the word "dough" literally in the name of the product, to come up short there leaves something to be desired.
