    Berry burrata tartine

Came here twice for breakfast when I was staying at the seabird. There is something for everyone on the menu. Food comes out relatively quickly and service is very friendly and never rushed. Food was better than okay but nothing phenomenal. Oatmeal was so bland and nothing was done to it other than put some fruit on top of it. The berry and burrata was very tasty but I think overpriced considering it's one slice of toast.

This is a nice breakfast restaurant we ate outside on the patio when we came here. I think they have dinner. We ordered eggs, toast, mixed berries, bacon, and the potatoes that were delicious both days. The weather outside was gorgeous. Service was a little bit slow the second day but they were very busy super friendly very nice staff. A little bit over priced but great food !

We were staying at The Seabird and was able to eat at Piper twice. All the dishes not only tasted great, but the presentation was so pretty. We also enjoyed the lattes and matcha. The service was excellent and everyone so friendly. The restaurant itself was very pretty, love the colors!

Enjoyable breakfast spot for our stay here at Mission Pacific Resort. Delicious yet mindfully healthy breakfast on a blissful sunny day. The life!

I came with a group of my friends to celebrate a birthday. Loved that the restaurant isn't far from the amazing sunset views! I chose to have a mocktail to start, which was the Yuzu Berry Spritz. Very light and refreshing way to start a meal. The bread was nice and soft with butter, honey and salt that was accompanied with it. Before our mains came out, we had an amuse bouche. Not sure what was in it but it was pretty good! For my main, I had the seared seabass. It was beautifully plated on top of the broccolini and I enjoyed the artichoke potage accompaniment. I got to taste the lamb shank, with was fork tender! The New York steak was also perfectly cooked and well seasoned. For dessert, I chose the chocolate chip cookie, which was meh. I wasn't very impressed for a $5 dollar cookie. The server highly recommended this, so my expectations were a little high. Overall, service was pretty good and the staff was very accommodating to our large group.

I reading many good reviews for Piper Restaurant at Seabird Resort in Oceanside, so I made a reservation before our stay there. For dinner, the staff greeted us nicely and made us feel welcome. The place is cozy and feels like home. Our server Sara was very good. She helped us choose our food. We started with Duck Liver Mousse. It was excellent and very tasty. For main dishes, the Brandt New York Steak was perfect. The Cioppino looked nice, but the taste was just okay. We came back the next day for breakfast. The Lobster Omelette and Crab Cake Benedict were both very good and delicious. The service was great, and most of the food was wonderful. I will come back again next time I stay at Seabird Resort. I definitely recommend this restaurant! My Personal Rating : 4.38 Food 4.3/5 Service 4.5/5 Price 4.1/5 Ambiance 4.5/5 Cleanliness 4.5/5

Piper is the main breakfast restaurant for the Seabird and Mission Pacific resorts (it also serves lunch and dinner). Usually hotel restaurants in the US are subpar, but this one was filled with locals in addition to hotel guests. The presence of locals is always a good sign in a resort area. I only tried the breakfast menu, but I was very impressed and would definitely go for lunch and/or dinner. The only reason I didn't give it 5-stars was because of the prices. I know it's a resort, but $16 for a side of berries in Oceanside seems laughable. They also add a 6 percent fee on top of the bill in order to pay their employees (this is in addition to tip). The acai bowl at Piper was the best I've ever had. So good that I ordered it three times! The house-made hemp granola was fantastic and the acai was thick and not too sweet. I appreciated the ample sunflower butter and berries. The SD based fermented hot sauces were also a treat, and I enjoyed them on my savory items. The huevos rancheros was the best of the savory items I tried. I'm not generally a beef eater, but the brisket was fantastic. If you find yourself in Oceanside and want a fancy brekkie, this is definitely your spot!

Food, service, vibes - Piper's got it! Came to celebrate a dear friend's birthday, and it was everyone's first time at Piper. The host was very accommodating to give us the best table in the house. Pro tip! - make a reservation for an early dinner to enjoy the beautiful sunset + get a pic of a table. Our server Tiana went above and beyond to make our evening special and tasty. Drinks and food were flowing, we had everything we need. Standouts were the ahi app and seabass main. Manager Mark was so hands on and made sure our group had a great birthday celebration. He was warm, welcoming, and ensured our meal was perfect. So impressed with the service here! Def 5 stars all around.

Piper was such a standout dining experience. The food was genuinely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish felt thoughtful without being overly complicated. The staff were truly lovely. Service was polished, warm, and attentive from start to finish. We were even surprised with a complimentary hors d'oeuvre from the chef, which made the whole experience feel elevated and personal. The inside was also beautiful! Between the quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the outstanding service, Piper is absolutely worth a visit if you're in Oceanside. I'll definitely be returning.

We stayed at Seabird and went to Piper for both breakfast and dinner and we loved both. Since we stayed during the weekend, there was buffet for breakfast. The buffet has so many options and everything is so good! For dinner, we had the duck liver mousse with the beet salad and pasta. Everything was so good. Not only was the food great, but the service was excellent. The servers were so friendly. It does get very very even for breakfast so reservations are highly recommended!

The food is great; you won't be disappointed. We ate breakfast and dinner here, and both occasions were consistent. There are a few options for vegetarians on the menu, but the menu is predominantly catered to meat-eaters. Breakfast has more options than dinner; dinner, however, had only one entree listed on the menu that didn't include meat. With that said, we had a pleasant time during both occasions. Their cocktails were delicious, although mine arrived after my entrée was served. The place wasn't busy; it was about 1/4 full at the time. Overall, it's a great place for date night, and a nice place to eat by the Pier. There aren't too many other places in the immediate area like this place.

Very nice place, great service. Nice decor and comfortable. Would have given a five star, but our food arrived cold but the potatos were nice and warm. We didnt wait very long for it to arrve so not sure what happened there. Other than that, the food was actually really good. They offer breakfast buffet on rhe weeknds but we opted to order from the menu. I believe you could make reservations but we just showed up and were seated immediatley.

Restaurant at the Hyatt Seabird with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Great for groups, special occasions and family friendly. We were staying here for the Oceanside 70.3 race and it was perfect for a nice post race meal. Was a little expensive but delicious food and presentation, and great service.

My husband and I stopped in to Frankie's on a recent Saturday at 5pm. Our kiddo had a performance down the street at 6pm so we had a little time to kill beforehand. The neighboring spots looked busy so we decided to go with Frankie's, seeing as they were less inundated at the time and we had a time constraint. Another allure was the sandwich board at the front door advertising discounted cocktails - sold!! Inside there were a handful of patrons at the bar, another table with two additional patrons and maybe a couple on the patio so it was fairly quiet and slow, so it looked promising. We headed up to the bar and hung out behind two empty barstools, the single female bartender greeted us and said she'd be right with us, but then continued chatting up the seated patrons, serving them and their friends that had just joined (AFTER we'd arrived). We moved a little further down to the handoff area where she was making drinks to save her having to come back to us again, and stood there for probably 10 minutes while she took orders and made all the drinks. We commented that she looked like she could definitely use a hand, and she said they were still adjusting into summer hours and determining whether more coverage was needed at this time - I figured 5pm on a Saturday should be primetime, so I'm not sure in what universe having a single bartender makes any sense. Finally we placed our cocktail orders, waited while they were made, and then put our card down for the tab. After we'd paid, I noticed the cocktails were more expensive than advertised on the sandwich board out front - I couldn't find a disclaimer anywhere that said only certain cocktails were included, so while it was a bummer I wasn't about to wait another 10-15 minutes to catch her attention and ask for clarification. Just a heads up to beware of whatever is advertised that might summon you in from the sidewalk, and make sure you ask before you make your selection. Drinks were very subpar, nothing special to write home about. While I can appreciate the Gatsby-esque vibe they're trying to uphold at Frankie's, they really should increase their staffing especially during prime weekend and evening hours, and be more transparent about their specials and what's included and what's not. Hindsight is 20/20, and the low volume of patrons when everything else around it was going off was probably a sign, so we'll skip Frankie's our next go around.
