Good option for bagels and spreads. Located at a shopping plaza near Vons with easy parking. They also have a few tables outside to enjoy your breakfast.

Salt bagel with egg, chive cream cheese, and latke

Finally, I was in Carlsbad when inglorious bagels were open so I had to try it. Being lunchtime they were low on the bagel selection, but luckily they still had salt left. I ordered it as an egg and cheese but opted for the chive cream cheese and I added a latke. It was hearty! The cream cheese and the latke went really well together. The bagel was soft and had an easy bite to it as a sandwich. Service was pretty quick and friendly, I'll definitely add this to my go to spots when I'm up north.

I heard about this New York-style bagel shop from my Yelp friends and wanted to try it for myself. Coincidently, I also found out through social media about their 4th year anniversary celebration. The stars were definitely aligned for me to go. From the moment I walked in, everything on the breakfast menu sounded sooo good. It was hard to choose, and the person behind the counter was super niiice which made my first time experience even better. I ordered a basic breakfast bagel with egg, sausage and cheese plus tomato and aioli with a hot birthday cake latte. Suprisingly, the service was pretty quick. Both were incredibly delisssh! The everything bagel was toasted perfectly... each bite was flavorful. The latte was nicely balanced...each sip was flavorful. What a greaaat way to kick-off my 4th!! Now, this shop is definitely a MUST when I'm in the area.

Stopped by on my way to Disneyland, so not a local to this area. I have to say, the food was pretty good. Def not better than Einstein, especially for the price. We all enjoyed the food, but the coffee was disappointing. What really brought points down for me was the TERRIBLE customer service.... the employees saw me standing there, confused as to if I was able to grab the food or to wait? After an employee finally decided to help me, he handed me a coffee DRIPPING with cold foam. I'm not even joking, the lid was overfilled with the foam and I got a "sorry". I had to ask him to change the lid and he gave us attitude!! Working in coffee, I've ran into this issue multiple times before and I've always replaced the lip or if I over poured, put it in a bigger cup. The critical thinking and customer resolution here was so disappointing and I would not return.

I can't recall how we stumbled in upon this place, but so glad we did! We stopped in and got a few breakfast bagel sandwiches. My daughter got just a regular, bacon egg and cheese bagel. I think I was enticed when I saw hash browns on a sandwich and stopped reading the description on the Latke Loco where habaneros are in the sauce because holy moly it was super spicy! That's my official warning lol I could only eat half. They put a lot of sauce on the sandwich and even though I didn't finish it in one sitting, it was super tasty and if you can handle heat, it's a must try! I can't handle heat but the flavor was so good, I actually ate the other half later in the day. We also got their chai and a specialty coffee The service was great and they had nice outdoor seating so overall it was an enjoyable experience and will definitely be back!

Super disappointed the last 3 times I've been, my order has been messed up. I pay extra for butter lettuce and tomato and one is missing them, then the other had sausage (or some type of fake meat is what it tasted like. ) added to it instead of bacon. For how expensive it is I'd like for my order to be right. We order 2 bagels at a time. That's almost $100. Not right.

Pleasantly surprised by the experience at Inglourious Bagels!!! The staff was friendly and helpful. Make sure you arrived early because many of your favorite bagels will sellout before closing time. I ended up "settling" for my desired breakfast bagel on an "Everything Bagel". Oh my goodness, was the bagel delicious and mind blowing!! Give them a try and you will come back often. The name of this establishment provides truth in advertising..... The bagels here are shamefully and disgracefully delicious!!!

Plain, sesame, and poppy seed bagels

I bought a variety of bagels. The person helping me was friendly and offered me a couple of choices. Delicious doesn't cover how much I LOVED my sesame bagel! The bagel was crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. Fantastic!

I'm so glad I finally made it to this bagel shop - it was fantastic! I didn't know a lot going in and Nathan was so helpful explaining their different offerings. I wasn't sure what I wanted and he took his time asking me flavor profiles I like etc and honestly I'm so glad because I love what we landed on! Something different I've never tried (Angry Everything bagel - 3/10 spicy level) with chive cream cheese to balance it. It was so delicious!! I think it's my new favorite bagel but I can't wait to come back and try more. Plenty of seating outside and service was quick. Highly recommend!

    Egg & Cheese Blueberry Bagel

I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and an egg and cheese blueberry bagel toasted. The smoothie was delicious and blended nicely. Great flavor! I appreciate soft bagels and my blueberry bagel that was toasted was soft and smelled like blueberries. My blueberry sandwich was easy to eat and it was delicious! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very fun vibe.

Came here for a quick breakfast with a small group and ordered the dozen bagels with regular and veggie cream cheese. Loved the everything bagel. Lots of flavor and paired well with both cream cheeses. The service was very good. Quick to get our food and niche bagel shop ambiance.

Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with Toasted Honey Walnut Schmear
    Erika S.

There were so many options! I went with a cinnamon raisin bagel with honey walnut schmear and it was absolutely delicious. My mouth is watering as I write this review. I also purchased a bag of their day old bagels and a tub of the habanero schmear. The bagels were still great the day later, though I wasn't sure what flavors they were. The habanero schmear was SO spicy, with visible chunks of habanero. I would go back just for that. The folks working were super friendly and quick. I wish there was a location closer to where I live, but any time I'm in Carlsbad, I'm stopping here!

Found a bagel shop near where we were staying so we tried it out. It was really good. I had the jalapeño cheddar bagel with sausage cheese and egg and my husband had that everything bagel jalapeño cheese traditional lox. These bagels were very soft and delicious. What's definitely stopped by again.

Turkey, bacon, avocado. Forgot to snap a pic before I consumed it. Too good to stop!

I know everyone's experience is different...and I did witness customers having issues both times I went. But that doesnt take away from the fact that both of my visits were great. Everytime I have been in, the waitstaff were always kind and in a positive mood. My order was taken promptly and my food was delivered in a timely manner. There is chicken fried steak on the menu and that is one of my weaknesses. There version is tasty. It's not the best I have had, but I would get it again. This last visit I noticed they had machaca on the menu. I was able to order it, and I will not be ordering chicken fried steak anymore! The eggs and beef were perfectly mixed together...and, with the added onions and tomatoes, it was very delicious. I chose to order the dish without the peppers, and it was perfect for me. Mix in the spanish rice and the beans....and it makes for a tasty bite to wrap in your provided tortillas. The plate also comes with pico...but it doesnt even need it. Yes, as you proabably have guessed, this is a non spicy version of machaca, but it is still very flavorful and yummy. This may not be the most authentic dish in South County, but it was yummy and comforting. I will be back for more Machaca!!

Beach Break Café totally nails the Oceanside beach vibe. Laid-back, minutes from the water, with genuinely great service. Then there's the food. I was hanging 10 on a fluffy omelette stuffed with tender shrimp, scallops, creamy avocado, and melted cheese. Every bite was rich, fresh, and ridiculously good. Not to mention the side potato pancake, a meal in itself! And the pancakes? Big, pillowy, melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. The French toast was golden on the outside, soft and almost custardy in the middle. Basically, breakfast had no business being this good. After 5/6 years between visits, I think I waited long enough. This is definitely a wave I'd ride again!

It's such a fantastic, family-friendly location with a lively atmosphere and great local energy. The service was wonderfully attentive and made us feel right at home. For my main meal, I went with a veggie omelet and added hot links. I initially thought adding the hot links might be a bit too much, but it turned out to be the perfect combination! Next time, I'll just make a mental note to ask for no mushrooms, and the tomatoes were a bit heavy for my preference, but overall it was delicious. I also grabbed a side of bacon, which was cooked just right. Now for the highlight of the meal: the omelet usually comes with a side of toast, and I was torn between that and their famous coffee cake. I originally ordered the toast, but as soon as our server stepped away, I had a change of heart and asked to swap it for the coffee cake. I am so glad I did! It came out with an amazing warm crust, wonderful texture, and delicious frosting. If you aren't a big fan of heavy sweets, the frosting might be a little rich, but for a treat, it was incredible! Tips: When you pull up and park, keep in mind that the main entrance isn't right where you park--it's actually located on the other side near the street light corner. If you're debating between toast or the coffee cake, go for the coffee cake! You can always ask for the frosting on the side if you prefer it a bit less sweet. Fun Fact: "Manna" means an unexpected blessing, especially in a time of need! Atelier Manna was…read morecreated by Michelin-rated Chef Andrew Bachelier and his wife Larah as a creative workshop where food, art, wellness and community all come together. - Located in Leucadia, Atelier Manna is definitely not your typical brunch spot. It feels part restaurant, part art studio, part wellness experiment, and I mean that in the best way. The space is intimate and eclectic, with cookbooks, ceramics, artwork, salvaged materials and little pieces collected from the owners' travels throughout the space. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into making it feel personal rather than overly polished. Parking is do-able across the street by train , or on the street or surrounding neighborhoods. Best time to come when its not busy is W or TH morning! And then there's the food. We started with the Turkish eggs, soft poached eggs sitting over herbed yogurt, chili garlic butter and herbs with toast. The combination of the cool, tangy yogurt with the garlicky, slightly spicy butter was SO good. The toast is basically mandatory because you're going to want to swipe up every last bit of that sauce. P.S. dish comes with two eggs but you can order an extra egg if you have more people. The steak & tortilla was another standout. Snake River Farms zabuton steak with Spanish tortilla, black garlic romesco and Jimmy Nardello peppers. The steak was tender and cooked beautifully, but what really made the dish for me was the black garlic romesco. Rich, savory and slightly sweet, it tied everything together. And then came the torrija, Spanish-style French toast. This is not your basic brunch French toast. It's made with thick-cut sourdough, saffron vanilla, peach leaf oil, stone fruit and whipped labneh. The outside had that delicious caramelized/crispy texture while the inside was soft and custardy. The labneh was also such a good addition because it gave the dish a little tang to balance out the sweetness. Definitely a dish I'd order again. But we can't forget the drinks because Atelier Manna takes their non-alcoholic beverage program VERY seriously. Their "vitality tonics" are basically zero-proof cocktails with a wellness twist, and they are way more interesting than your standard juice or mocktail. I got the Mentawai: coconut, cold-infused green tea, lime leaf, pandan and astragalus, force carbonated. Light, refreshing and slightly tropical with enough acidity to keep it from tasting like straight coconut water. My friend got the Goldenrod, made with clarified cucumber, turmeric, honey and long pepper. Very refreshing and earthy with a little sweetness. Another friend went with the cold brew, which was smooth and fruity with a creamy body. I really appreciated that the drinks weren't just an afterthought. They actually felt like part of the experience. Overall, Atelier Manna is one of those places where you can tell the people behind it genuinely care about the details. The menu is creative without feeling like it's trying too hard, the space is unique and inviting, and the food manages to be indulgent while still incorporating a lot of fresh, thoughtful ingredients. Definitely a brunch spot worth the drive up to Leucadia, especially if you want something a little different from the usual eggs + mimosa situation.
