I was in the area and decided to check this place out. I had really wanted to try the lox n bagel, but upon entering found out they weren't able to do sandwich styles yet, or even put cream cheese on your bagels. As much as I wanted to try their bagels anyway I was sad to see their everything didn't have everything on it. So instead I ordered the coffee cake. Man, not only was that thing huge, it was moist and delicious. Hopefully the next time I visit, they will be able to serve more items, otherwise I'll just stick to that coffee cake.

Made the pilgrimage to new wave bagel and it didn't disappoint. Great sourdough flavor, SUPER CHEWY and great crunchy crust. Also super delicious cream cheese! Which if I recall is made in-house or produced local? I'll definitely be back when visiting San Diego County. Also the stamp of approval from my little guy! He's requested I try to recreate some pretzel bagels for him at home. Thank you to the staff, who were very attentive and super sweet to my littles whom tagged along with me.

The bagel was really good. The team there is working really hard! My friend and I ordered the chai. I would not recommend it, tasted pretty bitter. It is a very popular spot so I would recommend going early and being prepared to potentially not have a seat because it is limited seating.

Ts is pretty fire bro. I'm no bagel connoisseur but it was crispy outer but fluffy inner, no rubbery sensations here. Also the cream cheese choices are absolutely game changing here. This chili crisp crack cream cheese was so good had me straight eating it out the container with no bagel left.

Absolutely adore the creative bagel and cream cheese flavors that new wave keeps putting out! The nori sesame bagel with chili crisp scallion cream cheese was such a cool fusion of flavors

I love that this is a simple bagel and cream cheese joint. Nothing crazy no crazy toppings and extra things to add on. It's straight to the point you pick your bagel type and cream cheese and that's it. The bagels were so fresh! Cream cheese was amazing! And I love that you spread it yourself! Service was so fast! The building is a small quaint joint. Highly recommend!

Cookies that were left in their bag for an hour . So much oil or butter ?

The staff is amazing! Sweet, kind and so smiley and we really loved that part however, the bagel I had was not good at all . I was really looking forward to this place but. The bagel was extremely salty. I ended up throwing it away . It was the brown butter and honey with honey cream cheese. P.S. not a fan of the cream cheese. I bought 1 bagel 2 cookies and 3, 3oz juices and it was $54 . I mean !! Oh ya and no bathroom . They sent us to Juanita's to use the bathroom and I had buy something there to use bath bathroom . ( I had little kids so it was a must ) All in All not my jam ! Oh also the cookies are heavy on the butter or oil ! Bummer not worth $54

Stopped by New Wave Bagel in Encinitas to grab bagels for a few of my accounts in the area and had such a great experience. The staff was incredibly nice and went above and beyond once they realized the bagels were for multiple shops. They helped me split everything into separate boxes and even made sure each one had cream cheese and utensils for spreading. That level of thoughtfulness and customer service really stood out. The bagels themselves were fresh and really good, with a solid variety to choose from. Yes, it's a little on the pricier side, but honestly that's pretty standard for Encinitas. You can tell they care about what they're putting out. I'm especially excited to come back once they expand their kitchen. Sounds like hot sandwiches are coming soon, which will be a game changer. I'm a sucker for a breakfast bagel sandwich. Definitely looking forward to bringing more of my clientele food from here and sharing the love. Great bagels, great service, great location!

Finally got around to trying new wave bagel! They are only open 4 days a week which was part of the reason it took me so long. We didn't have a long line which was great (I've heard it can get pretty lengthy). They have a ton of interesting flavors to chose from. I went with a rosemary sea salt and a honey butter salt. They also have a wide variety of cream cheese flavors. One thing I didn't love was there is no toaster. Now, arguably a toaster isn't necessary for bagels when they come out fresh & warm, but these were not warm so that was a bit of a miss for me. Still enjoyed them nonetheless and would go back to try some other flavors. I didn't have the opportunity to try the coffee but my friends did and said it was great. We briefly met the roaster who was kind and friendly, much like the rest of the staff.

Let me tell you about these 100% sourdough bagels from New Wave Bagels! Delicious! They sell savory and sweet combination and a variety of different smears to intensify your bagel taste buds! My first visit since their soft opening on 8/30/25. New Wave shares the space with Crossings Coffee Roasters where you can also order your caffeine fix! The wait line for the bagels can vary and when they are out, they are out! Arrive early to get a larger selection to choose from. Currently, they have about 8 bagel selections. I choose to try the Peach and Blackberry Bialy, Double Chocolate, Toasted Nori Sesame with the Chives Smear! I went home and made a Smoke Salmon and fried egg bagel. I look forward to the finish construction of the shop and a variety of more options! If they're out, don't worry, you can also head over to Ironsmith Roasters to grab a bagel and coffee.

Amazing sourdough bagels & cream cheese flavors!!! I've tried several different flavors and they are all so good! Their savory bialy bagels are absolute fire! You must try!! Service was quick & friendly! If you have any questions, they have answers!! I'm hoping they get a toaster soon... but the bagels are still amazing not toasted! Will be back to try more flavors!!

A small unassuming cafe off the side of the main road offers a variety of bagels and baked goods. I enjoyed the smear much more than the bagels but the bagels were good none the less. Do come early though because they sold out of a lot of flavors before noon. The pricing was also affordable and it's a nice place to grab an early morning bite if you're nearby.

One thing I found kind of funny--the bagels on the top shelf were more expensive than the ones on the middle shelf. The "specialty" ones (like jalapeño cheese and asiago) were about $1.25 extra. Not a big deal, just something that stood out. I went with an asiago cheese bagel and added egg, turkey, and a slice of cheese. It came out to about $10, toasted and ready pretty quickly. Overall, it was solid--nothing amazing, but it did the job and hit the spot after a workout. One thing that would really elevate the experience is if they offered sauces or toppings more proactively. It would've been nice if they asked about things like hot sauce, chipotle mayo, or even adding tomato, avocado, or some veggies for texture. When I asked, I was just pointed to a small self-serve area with packets, which felt a bit underwhelming.
