My first visit to Better Buzz. I'd always assumed it was worth the wait as the Encinitas location is perpetually packed, but now I understand why the line moves so slowly. It's not demand, it's understaffing. The person taking orders was juggling at least three roles at once. No fault of the barista's. The bigger disappointment, though, was the coffee itself. I ordered a large nitro, expecting the cold, creamy pour you'd get anywhere that does it well. It arrived over ice, already a red flag. I asked for a remake without ice, which they handled graciously, but what came back was flat, barely half a cup once it settled, with none of the velvety texture nitro should have. Just watered-down, lukewarm coffee.

I had to try the new Vanilla Bean Oat Milk Iced Espresso. I was a little concerned because I do not do overly sweet beverages, but the young lady at the register assured me it was not very sweet and she was right. The beverage's subtle sweetness came from the vanilla bean syrup. Both the vanilla flavor and sweetness was very limited in a helpful way. It allowed the espresso and oat milk flavor to stand out, which made the coffee drink enjoyable to drink. They put just the right amount of ice and the drink was refreshing. Oh yes, I also had a zucchini walnut loaf with the iced espresso and it was very good. I do recommend it. Both actually. The hospitality was good. It was not as upbeat as the last Better Buzz visit in Imperial Beach, but good enough. The service was very good. They had my order ready even before I sat down at a table. I was like, "let me chill a moment," which was a joke of course.

Ordered the large cinnamon cream cold brew & it too sweet for my liking -- would probably order it half sweet next time if I come back. Large size was VERY large! There are better coffee shops out there, but the employees were super nice & it's an overall clean location with outlets and lots of seating to WFH/study at.

Fantastic coffee and service from a woman who was so enthusiastic and friendly, wish I had got her name. Their banana bread is to die for! Good location with a clean lobby and they have a drive thru if you don't feel like getting out. Highly recommend better buzz!

My first time at Better Buzz and it was super yummy! I got the Banana Pudding Best Drink Ever and it was delicious I also had the Nutella croissant warmed up and I was in heaven. My barista, Grayce, was so friendly and explained the drinks on the menu that I was interested in. Great music too!

I ordered a caprese sandwich and a pink smoothie with dragonfruit in it. Both were delicious. I like how the food was freshly made. The bread on it wasn't hard when toasted and the mozzerella cheese was nice and melted with a nice cheese pull. The arugula really complemented the sandwich a lot surprisingly. I was nice and full for brunch. The service was exceptional here. My hubby got the best drink ever banana one he loved it too. I think it had a nilla wafer and whipped cream in it. It tasted very good for a cold brew drink.

For only being open for a few weeks, they are doing great! I did go opening day and service was fantastic and my drink tasted exactly the same as other locations, so their quality control is great too. I've enjoyed going through their drive-thru as it's pretty fast, but my most recent visit, i decided to walk in and order. It didn't take too long for our drinks to be made, even though they were busy. Again, our drinks tasted right, so the quality is there. The staff is very friendly and welcoming too. Plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside. Really easy to park as well since this is located in a shopping plaza. The drive thru line could get long but they have it setup so it would still be easy to park if you wanted to go inside instead.

I stopped by Better Buzz and ordered a Caramel Vanilla Latte -- it was absolutely delicious! The flavor was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and so smooth. The coffee had that rich, creamy taste that makes you want to sip it slow and enjoy every drop. The staff was friendly and the vibe in the café was super cozy and inviting. Definitely one of my new favorite coffee spots!

This place absolutely lost my business. I've placed coffee traveler orders here about 4 times thinking they would get it together. Every single time it has never been ready on time and I've been late for work meetings because of that. I decided to give them one last shot and unlike the previous times I've placed the order over the phone, I was told I have to now do it online. I told the person I've tried to do it online, but when I showed up to pick up, they said they never received the order. Was told to place the order online again. Seriously. It's not hard. Take the order, have it ready in the morning. I'm done with this place. Called Starbucks. Absolutely ZERO issues. read more

The service was really nice (I think it's their 4th day as of writing this). Very clean inside, my iced horchata latte and the feta avocado toast were great. This is a welcome addition to this shopping center in my book and a step in the right direction for this area. The music is pretty loud inside but they are also trying to attract new customers at the moment so I can't blame them. read more

Had a great experience with Cassandra working the till this morning! I was having trouble with the app, and even despite it being a busy time of day, multitasking, and managing holiday orders, Cassandra was so kind and helpful, looping in her coworkers as necessary and going above and beyond. The whole staff was really helpful as well, more than one person checking in as I was standing around the shop to See if I needed help. wow. just wow. i mean what? unbelievable service. i was swept away by the charisma of my barista. her gorgeous red hair stood out to me most. hello? I hate I didn't get their names. But a nice assistant manager and then the general manager made our day. I don't know why, but my family and I needed our coffee probably a little sooner. I ordered our drinks wrong. Didn't know it and assumed it wasn't my fault. (It was mine and I used the app) Let me tell you, they went out of their way. They made it right even though they could have let me drive away. Came out and said hi to the kids and gave stickers. That act made me a fan for life. read more

I believe this location just opened within the past six months. Great location near the beach. Customer service was excellent one of the barista's, I believe the gentleman's name was Dante, provided excellent customer service. The menu had so many choices. It was hard for us to choose. I noticed that this betterbuzz was new to the area, so I came to check it out. To my surprise, my food and drinks were ready in less than 5 minutes. If you are looking for a quick bite, or a delicious iced coffee, I recommend checking out this betterbuzz location. They have several stores, but the line is usually long, especially during summer! The barista, Diego, recommened the best drink ever with coconut foam, it was so good! read more

2 stars is generous. It seems like there was still a lot of training going on. Here are things that could be improved: 1. Waited 10 minutes for a black coffee. Only three customers ahead of me. Counted 18 people behind the counter. 2. Morning bun was inedible. Tasted not fresh. This is a huge failure in my mind. Too many coffee places have poor choices for snack items. I'd like a simple raisin scone. Checkout Handlebar in Santa Barbara. 3. The music is too loud and obnoxious. 4. Unnecessary for 18 people to shout welcome every time a customer comes in. This was, however, a shade less obnoxious than the music. 5. The coffee was ok but not special. It's why I came in. I don't have a reason to come back. read more

I also look forward to wandering through their gift area every time, where they stock unique jewelry, candles, fragrance rollerballs and 'clean' nail polish, plants and pots, kids' merchandise, t-shirts, and other cute stuff. I always buy something extra (and special) when I come. Their coffee bar is open, as is the general space, and there is plenty of seating outside in front and in back. You can watch the baristas make your drink and peep the beautiful Italian espresso machine and lovely bouquet of dried flowers by the bar while doing so. I asked again if the syrups contained any dairy and was told no. We ordered again with oat milk. On the second visit, my husband had stomach problems and I suspect dairy was somehow inadvertently used. On the third visit, I thought it may have been a fluke, my husband getting sick and so we ordered what we had the first time but this time I got sick. So, I'm not sure if there is dairy in the syrup or if they accidentally used cow milk in our lattes. Too bad too, because the flavors were tasty. We also appreciated the donuts from Doughside Donuts. I'm just not sure we will be ordered coffee from here anymore. The entry is really cute and you automatically see the variety of plants. They sell some jewelry and plant/Mexican pastry merchandise. Service was friendly but parking is not so great, especially when they are busy. Street parking only and it can be slim, especially on street sweep days. Cute shop but be weary if staying away from dairy.

I would give this place another try however Beach Break Cafe down the street really blew me away the previous week, so hopefully my next visit here will be a bit of an improvement.

All of the workers and so nice and did their best to manage the mobile orders and orders in general. The little man was saying that they should yell welcome every time someone comes in even if they are busy making drinks or taking and order.
