I'm happy to see that Vigilante Coffee started at the Eastern Market in Washington, DC where I was born. As a transplant, I looove when I come across businesses affiliated with the East Coast especially the D/M/V area. The goal is to deliver a 'Vigilante experience' based on authenticity, transparency, world class service, and the world's best coffees. Sure nuff...that's how we do! It's conveniently located on South Coast Highway...really easy to get to. There's ample parking which is always a good thing. Inside is spacious with a laid-back skateboard vibe to hang out with friends or do some work. The staff are FANTASTIC!! Based on my Vigilante experience, I do confirm that this coffee shop offers delicious coffee upholding their mission plus they have tasty bites to eat. Spacious coffee shop near the beach with an industrial feel. Lots of seating available, but the outlets are only available at the tables closer to the wall. Iced vanilla lavender matcha (5/10): I think you can tell based on the color that it was a pretty milky matcha. Very heavy on the artificial lavender flavor. Price was average though, ~$7 for the drink. Baristas were super nice. I'd go back to try a different drink and study here again! read more

Met up with some coworkers for a meeting at Vigilante. Like that there is a brewery next door for post meeting drinks. Lots of seating inside and a few outdoor tables as well. Nice airy cafe with really nice family vibes. Lots of babies, dogs and people working. They have plenty of seating space. The workers were kind Creamy earthy matcha, not mind blowing in flavor, this matcha definitely needs a sweetener because the matcha alone wasn't crazy amazing like I've had before. Vigilante is quickly becoming one of my favorite coffee spots in San Diego. It's located in South Oceanside, just about 10 minutes from the pier, and the space itself is big, bright, and airy with plenty of seating including outdoor options. It's the perfect place to hang out or get some work done. Most importantly, their lattes and service are amazing. My search for work-friendly cafes continues and Vigilante is perfect! Not only is there ample seating, free available parking and long hours but they also have WiFi and outlets! One thing to note is the WiFi is only available during the work week, not the weekends. The coffee had a good flavor and they did not miss with the classic vanilla latte. I tried their blueberry lemon scone and was told it was a customer favorite but I did not enjoy it. It was dry and cake-like. Not moist/fluffy enough (was more like bread). My friend tried their avocado toast and felt it was pretty filling. Overall, great work space! read more

This place was so nice and I'm very happy to have found it. The coffee was really good and I'm so happy with the avocado toast that I ordered. The bread was good and the seasoning was delicious. The coffee was good in a way where you can tell the beans were roasted nicely. Th staff were super friendly and I liked their water station they had. Vigilante is my new go-to coffee spot in North County! This place is packed every time I go, but the line moves quick. Getting your drink can take some time but it's soooo worth it. Lots of seating inside and outside, though, I usually opt for outside since the weather is always gorgeous. Do yourself a favor and get a large latte, it comes with 4 shots which makes it beyond worth the price -- which isn't unreasonable for craft coffee in Oceanside. It is VERY RARE that I write a review while at the business that I am writing the review about. But this coffee shop deserves all the rave. The ambiance is super cool and chill. Located super close to the ocean, it has the benefit of having its own parking which is a SUPER +++ The nice tall barista helped to figure out what is good to order. He suggested the vanilla latte (half sweet) which really hit the spot. They know their stuff for sure. Some places the baristas don't even want to say hello, letalone help you to choose what drink to get. I always like to see what they recommend and what their specialty is. Their ceramic mugs are HUGE and they fill it up! I HATE when some coffee shops don't offer ceramic cups. Some of them don't even have large size drink cups which is super LAME! Not this place! "Man, I wish we had a place like this in Denver." These were my words to the group as we walked in. Unanimous agreement. On a recent trip to the area, we stayed nearby and Vigilante was the stop every morning (and one bonus afternoon) for coffee. The horchata latte rules. I upgraded to a large on days 2-3 because it's simply that good. I have not found one like it since. The pastry case gave us delicious chocolate croissants and various donuts & cookies that hit the spot. More than anything we liked the vibe here. Staff were smiling. So were the people chilling all around the large, open, airy space. I had never considered buying swag at a coffee shop, but left here with a rolling tray and some sweet stickers. Amsterdam taught us how well some things go with coffee. Vigilante seems to have caught on. Next time we're in Oceanside, we'll be back. Five stars. read more

Convenient coffee shot not far off the highway if you're in need of a pick me up while sitting in that awful traffic. The baristas seem to know their craft and they are working with good product. In sum, it is the kind of coffee spot that I love to find, patronize, and hang out in. I've been here a few times and have ordered a variety of drinks, but they've all been great although in my opinion, they tend to be on the bitter side or "strong", but I don't mind. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The wait is usually between 3-9 mins depending on how busy they are. The seating area can be a bit tricky, but they do have many options. read more

I wrote a review a few months back when they changed croissant suppliers from Petite Madeline. The new one was not good. PM just closed so I went by to see what the current situation was, and they are now carrying croissants from a company in Vista. They looked good so I ordered the turkey havarti and a plain. I was very pleasently surprised that the new supplier is even better than PM!!! Way to go guys. Whoever sourced those for you deserves a raise!!! Deserves more than 5 stars actually. read more
