Brown sugar latte was excellent and love they have affordable food options. Solid choice if you're in downtown Oceanside

My husband and I have been trying out different coffee shops in north county recently. This one has been my favorite so far! I got the crème brûlée late and my husband go an americano and a drip coffee. All 3 drinks were good. I expected their coffee was going to be good based on all the reviews and they were not lying. I also got their pop tart pastry. Unfortunately it looks better than what it tastes. I thought it was going to be completely filled with jelly but it was not. There was just a little spoonful. I'd deffinitly pass on that. The atmosphere is very laid back. I love the little patio in the back. It's a good area to get some sketching or work done. The workers were friendly and welcoming. I can see myself being a returning customer, when in the area!

My friend and I came in 39 minutes close. I've been wanting to try this spot so I'm happy I got in before they closed. The girl was super nice, not rude or annoyed by the time. Matcha was super creamy and delicious. They heat up their pastries when you order !!!! Which seems very uncommon for the area for some reason. So definitely getting my business with that alone. This is the type of cafe id spend a few hours getting work done in. Especially their back patio seating. It gets the perfect amount of sun and it's just a really peaceful spot. Will be coming back

The best coffee place that we have found in this area. This is the second time we have been back to it. We usually get a regular latte and cappuccino. The regular size is 16 ounces which is equivalent to a Starbucks grande. The base coffee itself has lots of flavor - deep, nutty notes, very smooth and not bitter at all. We haven't tried any of their flavored coffees, but the original one is just so super good on its own! They have oat milk for those who cannot have dairy. We also got an array of pastries to try. The raspberry "pop tart" is amazing. It's like a flaky turnover with real raspberry jam filling. The cheese danish is also really good. It is a little sweet, like a cream cheese filling. Obviously made with layers of laminated pastry. The ham and cheese croissant was good, but all of the filling shifted to one side. We also loved the cinnamon roll. It is baked to about a medium consistency. Not too gooey, not too dry. Pastries were approximately $5 each. We got a bag of their whole bean coffee to make at the place which we were staying. The guy working there was very friendly and nice. The shop itself is small, but well organized and clean. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area!

Such an easy cafe to sit and relax or have a quick bite to eat with friends/family. Conveniently located off Mission Ave right before PCH. Easy to grab coffee and have a walk to the beach too. I absolutely loved the relax vibe the cafe and staff gave. Everyone was kind and welcoming. Our barista gave great suggestions too. We quickly put in our order and only had to wait a few minutes to receive everything. They were so fast, especially on a Sunday. Our lattes were 10/10. I loved my Mexican mocha and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his salted caramel latte, as I was lucky to get a sip or two. We also loved the everything bagel. A bagel, cheese, egg, and bacon. What more could you need?

Best coffee in Oceanside! Coolest environment, great coffee, and amazing staff! Will be back here!

Ignite Coffee Company is the kind of place that instantly feels like home. This locally owned café (founded by an Oside native) offers more than just great coffee -- it delivers a full sensory experience. The aroma of freshly roasted beans hits you the moment you walk in, setting the tone for a perfect start to your day. The ambiance is effortlessly inviting. Their lovely outdoor courtyard, creates the kind of warmth to the space that encourages you to slow down and savor the moment. It's stylish without being pretentious, and the natural light makes it a great spot to read, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a quiet break. Service here is top-notch and the staff are genuinely kind and attentive. They're happy to customize drinks and offer recommendations. It's clear they care deeply about both the craft and the community. Bonus points for their in-house roasted beans ; the Honduras and Ethiopia varieties are especially popular ;) If you're in Oceanside and looking for a coffee spot that blends quality, charm, and heart, Ignite Coffee Company is absolutely worth the visit. It's the kind of place that turns first-timers into loyal regulars. One small note though - I'd love if their in-house syrups are a bit more ingredient-forward versus more sugar-forward. Our go-to source for whole-bean espresso for our home machine--consistently creamy, never bitter, and the five-pound bags are an excellent value. We also love stopping in for a coffee to go whenever we're in town.

    - tucked along a walkable street with plenty of parking - lots of seating! perfect for studying/working - unique seasonal flavors! - i tried the cookie butter latte, the flavor was lighter than i would've liked but i loved that it wasn't too sweet and the smooth espresso really shined

I'm testing a new theory...and it's that anyone who is willing to invest in a Slayer espresso machine, they care a lot about their beans. So stop one on my Slayer-theory tour is Ignite Coffee roasters. And so far, my theory is testing true. Waiting in the queue, I can see that they roast Ethiopian beans, my particular favorite. After talking to the barista though it sounds like their house roast is a blend of Ethiopian and Honduran roasts. After trying the espresso, you can taste the bright fruitiness of the Ethiopian bean, and their roast was done with care. Very clean aftertaste and one that leaves you with almost nothing on the palette. Really though I'm splitting hairs on what is fundamentally a pretty perfect pull of espresso. If you're looking for a little pick-me-up, you can't miss with Ignite.

I stopped by for a quick coffee before hitting the road back home it was a Monday 30 min before closing and there was plenty of street parking around and the place understandably empty. I ordered one brown sugar and one caramel brûle latte both iced. They have ample amount of seating inside and outside. Cute little mural on the wall. The employee possibly owner was so kind and we were able to chat about the passionfruit in the back. Now I believe the brown sugar coffee has some cinnamon and some other stuff in there but was still enjoyable ( im not a big fan of cinnamon) and the caramel brûle was delicious. The drinks are on the sweeter side so if you want something a little less I would specify that when you order. Looks like a cool local hangout spot.

When I'm craving a delicious breakfast made with high-quality, organic, whole-food ingredients, I can order online, swing by, and pick it up without dealing with the rush. It's the perfect option for busy mornings. That said, dining in is worth it too. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and just a great place to slow down and enjoy your meal. They also have a charming little gift shop with flowers and thoughtfully curated items that make the space feel even more special. With both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a dog-friendly patio, it's an easy place to meet friends or enjoy a quiet morning. Parking can be a little hit or miss, but in my experience, it usually hits. Whether you're grabbing breakfast to go or staying to soak up the vibes, Communal Coffee is always a solid choice. Fresh ingredients, beautiful space, and consistently great food make it an easy five stars.

It's a great spot to meet up with friends or bring my mom when she arrives at the Oside train station from Grover Beach. It's a wonderful place to grab a flavored latte, seasonal drink, a glass of wine and a lunch bite, or all of the above! I also look forward to wandering through their gift area every time, where they stock unique jewelry, candles, fragrance rollerballs and 'clean' nail polish, plants and pots, kids' merchandise, t-shirts, and other cute stuff. I always buy something extra (and special) when I come. Their coffee bar is open, as is the general space, and there is plenty of seating outside in front and in back. You can watch the baristas make your drink and peep the beautiful Italian espresso machine and lovely bouquet of dried flowers by the bar while doing so. They bring their food out to you and when your espresso drink is ready they set it on the bar for you to pick up. Definitely a place to hang vs. grabbing a quick drink and rushing off about your day. I always want to stay and catch up with friends or bring my laptop to do some work, and they never make me feel rushed. Truly one of my favorite coffee shops in North County and in SD in general. (There is another high quality coffee shop in Oceanside that has incredible coffee and pastries--I won't mention the name--but I sometimes sense an attitude from the staff there, and that is a bit of a turnoff.) Go to Communal...you will not regret it!

This place has such a loyal following that people will happily walk a few blocks just to get their Revo fix. One of my favorite things is their seasonal menu. I've learned to fully embrace each special while it's here because once it's gone, it's gone. Right now, I'm completely obsessed with the Coconut Mango Sticky Rice Matcha. I'm pretty sure the baristas recognize me as "the Sticky Rice Matcha lady" at this point! I'm soaking up every sip while it's in season, and although I'll be sad when it's gone, I know they'll surprise me with something amazing next season. Their food is just as impressive. The toast is delicious, they use Prager Brothers bread, organic avocado, and fresh tomatoes, and you can really taste the difference that quality ingredients make. It's refreshing to find a café that clearly cares about food integrity. Another huge bonus for me is that they offer almond milk. So many coffee shops default to oat milk, but I appreciate having another option that fits my preferences. The only downside is the parking. My strategy is simple: go early if you can. Once it gets busy, finding a spot can be an adventure. But even with that minor inconvenience, Revolution Roasters is absolutely worth the trip. Incredible coffee, thoughtful seasonal drinks, quality ingredients, and a team that clearly cares about what they serve. Easy five stars.
