This craft wine tasting room is amazing. It has ample (heated) space in the back to bring in your own food and friends for wine pairings, and the wine varietals are second to none. (You can also grab charcuterie items from their fridge.) For your non-wine friends they have slushies. The tasting room is licensed for children as well. I believe they have sodas in the fridge you can purchase for the youngsters. The best thing about this place is that every Sunday there's a music open mic featuring local singers and artists from 6-9. The host, local legend Raynaldo Martine, will play along with artists or let them go solo. The list is always fair, and the hosts respect the amount of time artists spend in the venue. Overall, this is a place where you can enjoy some high-end craft wine and excellent entertainment. We were walking by Coomber one afternoon while visiting Oceanside. The place was closed but we were looking at the menu on the wall outside when a gentleman came up and greeted us. I think he was the owner and he said they weren't opened yet but invited us inside for a little tour. He told us they had live music every night. We came back later that night for a drink because of his friendliness and hospitality. There was indeed live music and we had a glass of their delicious Pinot Noir and bought a bottle of wine to take home. They don't serve food, but there are plenty of restaurants near by where you can order food to bring in with you. They did sell little charcuterie boards and snacks though, which was nice to see. The outdoor patio was so cozy with ambient string lights and plenty of seating. Definitely a great place to have a drink and listen to some live music. Fantastic happy hour wine tasting at Coomber craft wines. Each of us enjoyed our selection and we agreed to buy a couple bottles of Pinot Noir which two of us enjoyed from the tasting. Great little wine place in Downtown O'side! Went in on a Sunday with my laptop to do some work and watch some football, all while enjoying a tasting. There was an outlet built right into the bar, wifi worked great, and the service was exactly what you'd want. My favorite wine? Definitely try the Lemon Cake Chardonnay. If you're into the buttery whites, this is definitely the way to go. They also have some great community events throughout the week, and if you're hungry, they have menus for all the close-by places. I wanted to go to a wine bar while in Oceanside but the one I popped into at 5.10pm had just shut their wine tasting at 5pm. I find this place online (they serve till 9pm). I bought a flight of red and my partner got a flight of white. Both flights came with an information card. We took the wine to the back area where there were heaters and a live singer. The singer was very good. It was relaxing listening to her whilst sipping the wine. I normally drink wine from Northern California so it was nice to try wine from Southern California. The whites were okay but I enjoyed the red flight. I nice find. read more

Wow! What a great location and the back patio is the coolest spot! We almost didn't see the patio as we sat down at the bar! Our friends that have a locker with their own key are members! Our party of 10 reserved a tasting well in advance. When we arrived, there were no tables/seats arranged for a party of 10 to sit together and the people who hosted us wound up doing it themselves. The person who was working there made no effort to assist. We were the only patrons there so it wasn't like they were busy. The seating here is extremely uncomfortable and not conducive to a relaxing environment. Several in our party purchased flights that were served with an uneven pour level in every glass. This wine bar just opened in Vista and we were excited, although we don't drink alcohol we had been to a different location of theirs in Oceanside to see some jazz performed and, as I remember it, we able to get some food and a nonalcoholic beverage. This venue also has live music. So I checked it out one night. The decor is very nice with an open air patio and a covered bar. There wasn't much in the way of nonalcoholic beverages - Pellegrino sparkling water and some soda pop.the food to eat is packaged - cheese & crackers and hummus. These are kept in a case and you pick them out. These music, I noticed, would have been too loud to have a conversation. All that said, it IS a WINE BAR. A cozy little farm-themed spot offering a variety of wines and wood fired pizza. The staff are friendly and willing to let you sample suggested wines. "Found" this little gem whilst driving home and actually scanning Mission versus going into autopilot. LOL Circled back to a parking spot over by NCTD Admin Bldg and hoofed it. Brenda was our wine guide and we immediately noticed member pricing. It didn't take long to decide on becoming members! Lol For $65-85/mo (dependent on which wines are selected by the house) you get: 1) 2 bottles of wine for home 2) 8 flights or glasses of wine (in bar)--only one per person per day due to state "laws" or what have you. These don't have a time frame like 2 per week or anything, it's a flat 8 per membership per month. So you can literally go in 8 days in a row should that tickle your fancy. 3) 15% off additional purchases 4) Member only events (I think she said every first Tuesday of the month) Not a bad deal honestly--especially if you take advantage of the 8 per month as that's an additional 2 bottles. 85/4=$21.25 per bottle. They don't accept digital pay as of yet, but Brenda said they're updating their system. Bring cards/cash until then. Hip little location, but chill vibe. More on the "elegant" wine bar side than say, industrial like Carruth in C'bad/Solana. It felt warm and inviting, which I enjoyed. On weekends there's a pizza dude in back and live music. They have a fridge of Boars head cheeses and meats, and also allow for outside food. Brenda mentioned there are 2 near by restaurants that will deliver as well. But if you wanna get super fancy, Dairy Queen is right across the street. LOL read more

I'm writing this review on behalf of Zoe Guitars, a local business in Oceanside that builds high end, hand crafted acoustic guitars. We contacted Coomber Craft Wines to see if we could "showcase" the guitars and sponsor a night of music. The general manager was very helpful and accommodating with the request and thought it was a great idea to have two local businesses partner together. On Friday, June 3rd, we set up a beautiful display of several Zoe guitars on the Coomber stage. Encinitas musician, Cody Carter, performed two sets of contemporary country music, including a few original songs, playing a gorgeous Zoe guitar, of course! Cody said that he enjoyed playing to an audience that both listened to and appreciated his music. The homemade pizza was absolutely delicious . . . I think we ordered four! (We had our daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids with us.) Also, the wine was wonderful . . . my favorite was the pinot noir! The servers were super friendly and helpful! The back patio is such a great place to hang out and listen to live music, which they have every night of the week! I highly recommend Coomber Craft Wines! What a little Diamond in the rough in Downtown Oceanside. Oceanside is starting a campaign against the homeless derelicts wondering around aimlessly and you can tell! Anyways, Coomber Wine delivers the "right stuff!" I immediately joined their Wine Club the first time I met friends there. They also joined. We had a wonderful time and I particularly enjoyed their Lemoncake Chard from the Russian River area. Like Carneros, the Russian River uses lactose to ferment the wine because they are so close to the ocean. It's what gives this Chard the buttery and oaky notes that I love. Our hostess Brenda was so helpful in making me understand the Wine Club and the "flights". Then the other night they had a Members Only dinner and I could have brought 6 guests to enjoy everything complimentary. WOW! Food was good, music and wine was great and the Staff was amazing and made you feel like a VIP. Sometimes I just want ONE glass of wine and this is my go to place. My BEST friend has been in the wine business for 40 years and is quite the Sommelier and I've learned a lot from him. I can't wait to bring him to Coomber, I'm pretty sure he will be impressed.
