Seven (7) Tasting Flights available ranging from $29 - $99 (see my pics) Beautiful, upscale tasting room located just off the Thompson Hotel's lobby in downtown Palm Springs. Valet parking is available for $10. WINE & FOOD: Vanessa poured for us and was an excellent host and wine educator. She greeted us with a complimentary pour of their 2024 Walt Rosé of Pinot Noir before delving into our wine background, experience, and explaining the various flights. She took the time to get to know us and made excellent recommendations. My wife and I shared the L'Amour de Blancs flight ($29), the Elegant Expressions flight ($59), and the Taste of Terroir flight ($99). Each flight consisted of three generous pours, and as we went through, Vanessa even poured a few extra Pinot Noirs she knew we'd enjoy. The wines are extremely well-made and quite elegant, offering a good balance of acidity, tannins, and flavors. Along with the wines, we also tried several items off their Savory Bites menu: Marinated Olives & Nuts ($10), Soppressata Croquettes ($15), Wild Mushroom Pâté & Black Truffle ($18), and the Duck Confit Crostini ($18). Everything was delicious and for those who might be unsure, the menu offers wine paring suggestions so you can't go wrong. We had an excellent, leisurely experience and enjoyed it so much, that we became members. Membership offers discounts on wine, food, and merchandise, and even a discount at the fine dining restaurant located on the second floor of the hotel. Hall Napa Valley is located in the Thompson Hotel. They have a spacious seating area indoors and patio seating. We were checking in at the Thompson and our room wasn't ready yet so we checked this place out. Very modern and posh. We were greeted enthusiastically upon seating and served complimentary rose which was a classy touch. I did the white wine flight for $29 and we ordered the croquettes $15. Service was quick and attentive. The sommelier that took me through the wine flight was incredibly knowledgeable and very kind! The croquettes were delicious just wish they were a bit warmer upon delivery but otherwise chefs kiss. Overall great experience and will definitely be back! read more

A must visit wine tasting room in the Coachella Valley! Inside the newly opened Thompson Hotel, the owners spared no expense decorating their coveted tasting room showcasing the best of Hall Wines and their affiliated wineries. Wines (5/5) I did the elegant expressions wine tasting flight which included a 2023 Walt Pinot Noir, a 2019 Baca Zinfandel, and a 2019 Hall Cabernet Sauvignon for $59 per person. The wine flight pours are on the generous side if you compare it to the wine pours at Napa wine tasting rooms. I felt this wine tasting flight was the best option because it showcased the best of the Hall collection of wines. My favorite wine was definitely the 2019 Hall Cabernet Sauvignon because I felt it was the most well balanced wine out of the flight. My least favorite was the Zinfandel because it was a little too jammy for my taste and felt a bit unbalanced with the spicy finish. Service (5/5) The staff here are knowledgeable of the Hall Wines collection and were very friendly. I definitely felt like I was transported back into a Napa Valley tasting room with the professional service here. I made a reservation for an afternoon wine tasting on a weekend, but walk ins are easily accommodated as well. Ambience (5+/5) This space is so posh and comfortable that it will transport you to a wine oasis. The interior is immaculate with the marble counters, chevron patterned flooring, and luxurious seating options. The outdoor seating is exceptionally well equipped to handle the harsh summer heat with the water misters and shaded seating areas. The space is connected to the Thompson Hotel's lobby which is a nice touch if you're a guest staying here that needs to kill time before one's check in time. read more

The flights were solid. We tried a white flight and a Pinot flight. Even though they are known for their cabs, the sauv blanc, the Shea Pinot, and the Sierra Mar Pinot were delicious. Wine is subjective so I encourage you to try for yourself. The pours are generous. The service is lovely. The space is beautiful. This was a new experience- go to Hall Wines if you would like to taste several wines and learn something in the process. They offer tasting flights of wines. One thing I particularly appreciated about this place is that you don't have to be a wine connoisseur to really enjoy your time there. I went with two friends that really know their wine and I was the person who was relatively lost. Our sommelier was excellent, he was never snobby or talking down to me, just kind and inviting. I ended up learning a lot and finding a favorite. This is a beautiful little place that is part of the Thomson Hotel, right there on the main strip of Palm Canyon Boulevard. But warning, they don't really have food here just a few little things to nibble on. Of course it would be fun to start your evening here and then head on upstairs to Lola Rose, or across the street to Bar Issi or Tac/Quila. read more

This has quickly become our little place to escape to on a Sunday afternoon. I love the trips to Temecula, but it's a long day on the road from Palm Springs. They have excellent wines and a great staff. Lenae is fantastic and takes great care of us. It is so fun to sit back with a great wine and people watch. Palm Springs needed wine bar with great quality wines and we were excited to try out Hall Wines after visiting their location in Napa. Our sommelier, Richard, was so welcoming and very knowledgeable about wines while making the experience fun and comfortable. We ordered tasting flights to try a variety of wines. My mother-in-law had such a fun time that she wanted to go back the next night! Again Richard was our server and provided recommendations on different wines to try and chatted with us about Palm Springs. Beautiful small tasting room located inside Thompson Hotel. The wines are magnificent and the service and knowledge is spectacular! Grecia was our wine educator and she was awesome. I work in wine and was very impressed with the presentation of the wines and the history of the Hall name. They are definitely Napa prices so be ready to open the wallet up. 1000% recommend coming in and doing a tasting, grabbing a glass or even a bottle. Speaking as members - this place offers a genuinely great experience. The service is exceptional--warm, knowledgeable, and effortlessly attentive. Amazing staff! The wines are well-curated, with a variety that caters to both casual sippers and more seasoned palates. That said, I do feel compelled to mention the staff uniforms. While professionalism abounds in every other aspect of the visit, the color of the shirts they're required to wear is... unfortunate. It's a hue that flatters no one, and frankly distracts from an otherwise polished atmosphere. This is Palm Springs not a Peach farm in Georgia. Still, the charm of the team and the quality of the wine far outweigh... whatever the color of those outfits are. A visit is well worth it--just don't let the shirts fool you. read more

My husband and I have been members of Hall for a couple of years. As San Diego residents, and parents of a 6 year old, we don't make it to Napa as often as we would like. So, we were very excited to see that Hall opened a tasting room in Palm Springs--just a 2 hour drive away. Chris and DK treated us so great! They were incredible hosts, and guided us through an excellent tasting of Hall's cabs. The wine, as always, was delicious, and we got to try some wines we hadn't had before. The tasting room and Thompson Hotel are beautiful, and we will definitely be back. read more
