I believe it was for something called the apple butter festival that brought us up here again. Cool weather and the peaceful quiet is what you expect from Apple country. I love that snow line has a ton of parking options and a beautiful shop to browse with everything from hot apple cider donuts, two wines and more preserves than you could ever imagine! Apple donuts (dozen): Not a big fan of the donuts they were soft and fluffy not crispy. Per my Asian sweet tooth, this was too sweet for me so I could only eat one donut while having my water bottle on the side. Tip: Price was reasonable, but Apple Annie's has a apple donut stand open during Thanksgiving time which sells $1-2 lower. If you go earlier than Thanksgiving then the stand might not be open. Parking lot available, no charge. HOWEVER, there is tight road to drive to the parking lot. I would recommend to go at nonpeak times because the cars entering the road are pretty much driving off the edge of the cliff. read more

Our family came on a weekend morning and we had a relaxing and enjoyable visit. Parking is a bit limited but we were able to find a spot in the designated dirt lot. I've heard the lines for their apple cider donuts can get long so we came early on a weekend morning to beat any potential crowds, and we were able to easily and quickly get a couple dozen of their delicious mini apple cider donuts which were soft and sweet. Forewarning, their tiny size makes it perfect for overeating, but no complaints here as they were delicious! There's a decent sized outdoor area with picnic tables for seating. It's mostly shaded from the trees and beautifully decorated with string lights. After we enjoyed our donuts at the picnic table, we walked around the grounds and looked at the apple trees, and also perused the country store which offered samples of their delicious cider and slices of their crisp and tasty apples. I went on October 5, Sunday and arrived around 10:30 AM. Parking: the main parking lot was full but there were still spots on the left side on the dirt road/path when you go through and past the main lot. We went around the loop twice and the second time, we were able to secure a spot in the main lot. The parking is busy, but people are generally in and out so don't let that intimidate you. Service: the cashier who took our order was standard, regular-- nothing to note! That makes sense though, the line can get long so they're probably trying to get people in and out. Ambiance: the line was out the door when we arrived and we waited for 15 minutes which wasn't bad at all. When we came out at 11, the line started wrapping around the building. Loved that the store let you try fresh apple samples of many different varieties. The store also sells ornaments and holiday trinkets. It was so cute inside! Food: 1 dozen mini apple cider donuts (1000/10)- they were sooooo good! Hot and fresh because they're literally made fresh in front of you. The donut itself tasted so good and it paired so well with the cinnamon sugar. The flavor of the donut reminds me of the flavor of the powdered donuts but the texture is different, the texture is better (light and fluffy rather than dense and cakey). Every September for the past 4 years my family has been visiting Snow Line for their Apple cider donuts. This time we went on Labor Day and it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. Perhaps the first weekend of Apple season isn't as busy. The weather was however super hot. We've usually gone mid September when the weather is cooler but the crowds are definitely there. If you find yourself in Oak Glen be sure to make a visit to Snow Line. Visit their lovely shop go to the back room and try some apple brandy and pick up a bag of apple cider donuts. We love coming to Snow-Line any time we visit Oak Glen. It's the kids favorite stop because they get fresh apple cider donuts! It's my husband's favorite because they have the BEST apple cider - I love the cider float! And it's my favorite because it's such a homie feeling there. I love sitting under the trees drinking hot cider and enjoying the gorgeous views. If you're lucky you'll hit a day they have live music playing! They have an olive oil tasting area and a wine bar tasting area! I haven't had the chance to visit the wine bar yet but it's next on my list! If there's not someone in there working I believe you can ask an employee and they can let you know when the next tasting is available. Make sure you peruse the shop as well. They have tons of homemade items - food and craft related. They have tons of pickled foods, fresh fruits, olive oil, honey, jams, jellies - you name it! I love their decor options too. They have such cute holiday items. Yes - the lines can get really long for the donuts if you come on the weekend or holidays. But for me it's absolutely worth it! I've been here three times so far. Once a few years ago and twice this month. There's no parking fee and it's fairly easy to find the orchard with all the signage. We were here on October 6th and by around 9:20am, I was probably third in line to purchase their famous donuts and cider. I got a half dozen donuts at $4 and a cider slushie $7. They have some picnic tables in the grassy area and totally dog friendly. We are also in raspberry season right now and you can pick them yourselves here too. I came here again this past weekend with my mom. With forewarning from my friend from work who was here the day before, we got here before they opened to avoid a long line. I got in line around 8:51am and was probably 6th in line. By the time it was 8:55am, another 15-18 people were behind me. This time I shared a dozen mini-donuts ($6) with my mom and we got two hot apple ciders at $5/each. It was cooler this morning compared to last time and the hot ciders were so delicious. We really enjoy our time here and the donuts and ciders are definitely worth the wait. read more

Living in So Cal all my life, never knew a place like this was close by, just one hour drive from Orange County. Nice drive up the single lane road through the hills, felt like I was transported to a different place. We passed by a small town setting, having a farmer's market event. Amazed to see how crowded this place was, difficult to find parking as parking lots were quite full and the single lane roadsides were packed. Once we arrived at our destination, realized apple picking was pretty much done for the season. So we went to an unplanned place, Slow-Line Orchard, found it be hidden off the main road. So glad we did! Loved the coziness of this place, including the novelty storefront with a bar in the back, live music band playing by the barn, and outdoor sitting area. After a bit of a wait in a long line, we got our fresh apple cider and freshly made apple cider donuts! Enjoyed eating this sitting outside on benches under the beautiful trees, soaking up the crisp air, and listening to good music. Loved this experience! After a long day of performative apple picking, we made it to Snow-Line Orchard right before closing. The building itself is the very picture of autumn - a rustic mountain farm barn-style shed with red painted walls worn down over time. The line stretched out of the large open doors all the way to the peach trees in the back, but moved relatively quickly. Inside, the air was filled with a jovial atmosphere as workers laughed and bantered with local customers. Unfortunately, the hot apple cider was all sold out as it was later in the day, but the apple cider slush was still available. The apple cider slush was cold and refreshing. In hindsight, I think I would've preferred the slush over the hot cider anyways because it was a relatively hot day in October. The bright side of coming late, however, was getting extra apple cider donuts since they were trying to get rid of them. We took our bag of mini-donuts to the outdoor picnic area and tore them apart. They were delicious! The donuts were hot and fresh out of the oil and dusted lightly with a layer of sugar. The most remarkable part was how they tasted just like apples. Snow line Orchard has become so popular with tourists flocking to this apple picking region in the fall season that parking itself is a bit of a tussle. Our patience was awarded though with a parking spot and we were able to get out and enjoy the farm. The line for the cider donuts was wrapped around the building, although it moved surprisingly quickly. Kudos to the people manning the register for its efficiency. That being said, the donuts are nice, but nothing to write home about. I do think the best apple cider donuts I've ever had are to be found in Camino, California. I definitely enjoyed the adult drinks. Got a drink from the outside bar called a witches brew. That was quite tasty and I enjoyed sitting outside chatting with my friend. We also ended up chatting with the people who are nice enough to share their picnic table with us. Seating is at a premium so come prepared. I'd say my biggest complaint however that brought this to three stars on the review was the snow Line pickled asparagus that I bought in their store. The inside of the pickled asparagus is all stems which are hidden by the asparagus heads around the outside. All the stems are too rough to actually eat and you definitely feel ripped off after spending $12 on a luxury item to discover only a third of it is what you actually want to eat. read more

After hanging out at the Oak Mountain slide area we were thirsty and wanted a snack - my cousin told us about this place and since it was such a short drive near by we all opted to go. Lovely place! They don't offer Apple picking, but you can do raspberry picking! We went a few days ago, and while a lot of the berries had gone bad, there was still many edible ones if you looked and lifted the branches. I've been to snow line orchard a few times and everytime it's a nostalgic and comfort feeling for me! Parking at times can be tricky especially during the weekends but you can usually find a spot if you give it time. They are definitely known for their apple donuts and apple cider and both are a must to get ( that's why the line is so long lol). But that's not all they have. They have small trinkets, wine tasting in the back, coffee or cocoa and other goodies you can purchase. I love the seating outside under beautiful trees and ever changing leaves.
