Love this place. Made sure I ate a chicken pot pie, so good! Great for kids as well. Small stream, pond, eatery, small store & animals. They also have different events going on throughout the year.

I absolutely love, love, love Riley's Farm, it's such a unique and immersive experience. From the moment you arrive, you really feel like you've stepped back in time. The entire place is set up like colonial America, and the attention to detail is incredible. All of the staff stay fully in character the entire time, and their costumes are beautifully made and very detailed. It really adds to the whole experience. The farm itself isn't your typical farm,it's more of a historical village with different stations set up to demonstrate things like candle making, crocheting from that time period, how the judicial system worked, and even the types of games people used to play. One of the highlights was the Revolutionary War reenactment at the end, where the kids actually got to participate as soldiers. It was such a cool experience and also really educational at the same time. I went as part of a school group, but you could definitely visit on your own and still have a great time. The food was good, but the baked goods were the real standout -- fresh breads, pies, cookies, homemade ice cream, shakes... everything tasted amazing. I also liked that you can order ahead online and just pick up when you get there. The staff were incredibly patient and kind with the kids, even when they got a little impatient, which I really appreciated. Overall, it felt like being transported back in time, and I would absolutely love to come back again.

Riley's Farm is one of venues along Oak Glen Road, and it offers an opportunity to step back into colonial times. You will find their staff in period costume. During the week you can even watch school groups experience living history adventures including those of both our Revolutionary and Civil Wars. There's also a bakery in site that offers both lunch/dinner and dessert options. It's adjoined to a colonial tavern that appears to no longer be full service (at least for lunch) but still allows entry for dining. I recommend their chicken pot pies, but there are many other food choices on their menu. The grounds afford a nice little stroll simulating a step back into simpler times, and the costumed staff helps to promote that very perception. You'll will even find a pillory for the naughty. It's a fun little detour to your Oak Glen apple picking!

We attended a fun evening at Rileys farm where we saw Finnegan's Wake dinner show. The music was spectacular. It was lively and interactive and a great selection of a performed repertoire. The performers were also very good and talented. The food service was great. Our cups were never empty. The food was very tasty- the bread, soup, bumble n squeak, parsnips, meat and desert were very tasty and homemade. My criticism is that the food was sparse, small portioned and served cold. The parsnips arrived well before the meat. The small slice of tasty but fatty meat was eaten alone. Was that the way it was intended? The bread was only at the start of the meal and never refilled though we had lots of excess butter at the table. The desert did not contain apples but chocolate. It was tasty for sure but I expected something else. Would we come back and bring friends? Absolutely!

Beautiful farm with a fun and challenging corn maze, apple picking (seasonally), pumpkins (seasonally), tractor rides, apple cider pressing, lovely gift shop, all surrounded by beautiful mountain views. Great for a date, girls outing or family fun. Lovely grounds and a rustic but beautifully maintained landscape. Will definitely return!

First stop as you're approaching Glen Oaks. Definitely a colonialism patriotism experience visiting here. That's what makes them different. You have to explore beyond the front yard and go behind the orchard as there is more to explore. We decided to have the apple dumpling here. Was a bit disappointed because the caramel sauce was like a sticky glue instead of it being soft and runny. Watch out for dentures those who wear them! The chicken pot pie was also watery runny instead of creamy packed consistency. The food can be better. The farm pretty much have things for different ages to explore. Kind of makes you feel like you're visiting during the puritans era as far as ambiance goes. They have the animals petting area, blacksmith, orchards, flower blooms. The house was nostalgic but hope they can fix it up, as some area were noticeably falling apart. Friendly staff overall during our first time visit.

We always enjoy a trip to the farm. Everyone is nice and helpful in the store. The food is good, wish the portions were a bit larger but hey. We take chairs and blankets making a day of it. Peaceful views even with a crowd of people.

Highly highly recommend this fall activity! Such a neat experience! Everyone was super friendly! There's a u pick flower, pumpkin field, sunflower field, a place to do archery, tomahawk, candle making, blacksmith. Def try out their Apple pie and cider! Will be back! Super cute area for photo opps too!

    Fun for young kids!

What a beautiful night with our family at the Christmas in the Colonies. The service, food and ambience were superb. I love that you can come here and not only have an experience but also hear about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We'll be making this visit a family tradition.

Ask the Community - Riley's Farm

    Do they offer hayrides?

I took a hayride when I was there. I was with a group. The hayride was part of the experience.

Is the admission free? Also how much is the apple picking on weekends? And is the restaurant over open for public?without reservations?

I think you can park there for free and go to the restaurant. You order at the window. Then you can eat inside, outside on the patio, or take it to go. You do not need a reservation. The restaurant is open to the public.

    Are you open on sundays?

No, they are closed on Sundays. Please see more info on their website: https://rileysfarm.com/index.php/information/hours/.

Are there clean restroom? No portable potties?

    Yes

    Is this place pet friendly?

You can bring dogs as long as they are on a leash and well- behaved.

Any chance a family could go on wed Nov 1? To pick applea?

Only open on weekends for apple picking and visitors. During the week open for school and private groups that have reserved one of their special programs.

    Is U-Pick only on weekends?

Check out the website but I believe yes. At the farm there was a sign that said week day strawberry picking. Call for confirmation.

Is the U-Pick fruit organic or is it sprayed with pesticides?

    Sprayed.

They're known for their delicious donuts, but there's so much more to enjoy! One of the cool things is that you can sample different varieties of apples before deciding which ones to take home. They also have a great selection of wines. Peach Perfect and Black Bear were two of my favorites. I was hoping to grab Red Tractor, but unfortunately, it wasn't in stock this time. For you pickers, you can pick your own raspberries and apples for a small fee. It's a great place to slow down, relax, enjoy the scenery, and spend some quality time with family.

We drove a long way and arrived around 1 PM specifically to pick apples, only to learn that apple picking now requires a reservation. The next available time wasn't until 3:30-4 PM. Since Los Rios closes at 5 and most other Oak Glen attractions close around 5-6, that really affects your ability to plan a full day in the area. Apples are currently $5/lb, and picking bags are 50¢ each and bags must be purchased beforehand. Bring your own or a cute basket. I completely understand that it has become more popular and reservations may be necessary. My frustration is simply that changes like this should be clearly communicated on the website and social media so families making a long drive can plan accordingly. I still love Los Rios and will absolutely return. I just know now that we need to reserve apple picking ahead of time before making the drive.

I felt like I was wandering around guessing where I was supposed to go. If they're trying to cut back on the hourly costs there needs to be more signage or a map or something? I came here to go apple picking and just happened to park near one of the areas of trees available for picking. There was a single guy handing out bags, and he was very pleasant and we got a few but when he directed us to the next area he said to follow the white ribbons. There was literally one ribbon tied to a tree and from there we just wandered along a path hoping to see something or someone else. I can't tell you how many other people were stranded and asked us where we got our apple bag. We found a second area where there was a lady in a chair in the shade. We asked her if there was a map or something, and she said that there were maps, but that she didn't have any. There were only 4-5 trees at her station and quite a few bees and fire ants in that area. It made me a bit uncomfortable with littles. The lady directed us down a hill to the cashier station. They had a small gift shop and cafe. I paid $26 for a fresh pie at the cafe but they don't weigh the apples there so I went to the general store and paid another $25 for a bag of apples, which is fine (I guess). I haven't tried the apples yet, but the pie was nothing special. It didn't have a ton of flavor and just tasted like an unseasoned baked apple. I'm not sure what I was looking for, but with such a beautiful setting I just expected more than what I found. At least the parking was free? At least, no one was around to tell me otherwise.
