Soffel Farms is a family owned and run business, located in Redlands, across the street from Redlands Sports Park. As for the parking situation it is only street parking, but it's free. I was just driving back from Hanger 24 (only 1 mile away, which is also dog friendly by the way) and my husband and I passed this place and decided to stop by and check them out. Inside their store, it was dark and really small. There was a teenage behind the table where you can pay for your goods. I came in this past Saturday around 3:55 pm. It was pretty much empty and didn't have the cute farm like vibe that I was hoping for. You can buy raw honey, jellies/ jams, some loose fruit (very small pickings of lemons, oranges and avocados was what was available on this visit) and small packages of blueberries (found in the refrigerator). I felt a little obligated to buy something since I was the only person in there (my husband stayed in the car with our little girl dog). So I decided to get blueberries because the sign outside had mentioned they had blueberries. You can either purchase the small container for $5 or the larger container for $10. I opted for the larger container. The blueberries itself were sweet. But to be honest, I felt like that it was a little pricey for the amount. And I am pretty sure others will disagree with me, but I think I would rather stick with the blueberries at Costco (don't send me hate messages just because you disagree with me). This store was rather sad and depressing. Very unwelcoming and not sure why there wasn't any light on when I entered. Having a dark place presents itself to be rather dreary. If I lived near this area, I wouldn't come back. read more

The season is closed now. (6-14-15) We showed up today and the owner let us pick blueberries even though the closed yesterday. We will definitely be making this a yearly day trip. Our kids LOVE blueberries! They said they usually open from April 1 to July 1 but had to closed early because the weather made the blueberries ripen fast this year. read more

The best locally grown blueberries ever! I am soo appreciative of their delicious locally grown blueberries and their darling little stand is located right down the street. I eat one container on the ride home and then make fresh blueberry pies, muffins and yogurt puree. They are soo fresh, plump and juicy. For a while they even had free range chicken eggs, which were amazing, but I guess the chickens wandered off. Went out today purely for the blueberries. Most of the bushes were clear of berries but the furthest ones from the little stand had plenty of berries. Not sure if this is just because it is almost the end of the season, but the bushes had lots of weeds within the open spaces. Otherwise, some bushes had really sweet fruit while others were sour. Price was $2 admission per person (no fee for my 1 year old) and $10 for the container full of berries. The lady said they were out of the small $5 containers so we had no choice. It was still a fair deal and there were only 2 other families while we were there. Nice thing about the admission is that she did tell us we could eat whatever we wanted. If the weeds had been trimmed and the patch was kept up a little better, this place would perfect. Otherwise, its a great hour of picking! read more

This is a continuation of a tip I had just posted next to a 1 star post someone had left and just wanted to make a point. I posted a pic of a test I did using a refractometer to test the honey and guess what. So far this is the best honey you will find in a grossery store shelve. The dark picture is a pic of the test result, if you zoom in you'll see it. It was kinda hard to take it. Keep in mind there are several kinds of honey , color or some textures would not determine the quality and that is why it is very hard to the naked eye to detect great unadultered real raw honey. Not much to expect. There are blueberries, and some other trees. But the place is small, they don't even have a bathroom open to public. You can see all the blueberries plants from outside, and some avocado tree on the other side. Soffel Farms ran a large ad in our local Beaumont paper advertising fresh blueberries, honey, avocados, oranges & strawberries picked daily. We drove over there Mon 6/3 for some items. They had nothing but a few jars of honey and some commercially packaged blueberries...what a BUST...they should be called "awful farms". Located in a 20 foot square shed, this place ain't no farm stand. read more
