Ryan, an associate of the original owners, has taken over this wonderful little farmer's market,…read moreand is running it like a pro. Although he can't provide everything the prior people could provide, due to lack of as much agricultural land for growing and a few other factors, what he does sell is just as good as always. This year, his berries are better than ever, his wonderful "home-grown" tomatoes are just coming in, and he also has great avocados, citrus, and squash. He is open Mon. through Thurs., I believe from 9:30 a.m. until he's sold out. Strawberries go fast, so get there early. I was there around 1 p.m. last week, and snagged the last half-flat. Very disappointed lady came in as I was leaving, so I gave her a box. Prices are $5 per box, $30/half-flat (six boxes), $60/flat (12 boxes). Best strawberries anywhere, for real. We drive quite a ways just to get to this little market. Enjoy!

There used to be more vendors selling here, but that's ok. I still like shopping for fresh vegetables from local growers. My favorite is buying honey that is harvested locally. The farmers here selling their produce are always friendly and they offer samples of fruit if you ask. Then of course, you can't miss the smell of the food being cooked by the food vendors as well. If you haven't had your breakfast yet, don't miss out on buying pupusas or tamales or whatever you're hungry for that morning. Enjoy your morning eating here after you shop.

This past visit, we got food from both Fred's Red Tacos and Baba's Chicken. My food from Baba's was delicious. Loaded fries of some sort and everything on it was just perfect and complimented each other. My friends got Tacos and thoroughly enjoyed their food as well. You order from a kiosk but then are greeted by someone when your order is ready, from that specific place. Each time I've gone, I've had good customer service. Here's what we ordered: Gyro - no tomatoes ** meat was delicious, everything about the gyro was a hit and I've had my share to know what's good Chicken Shawarma sandwich - with everything ** my third daughter ordered this and really enjoyed it Egyptian Pizza - there's only like 3 choices, the guy there recommended the meat, veggies, and cheese. ** I'm not a fan of anything soggy foods because I'm that person that won't eat it right away. The pizza is a little bigger than a personal sized pizza you would get from Pizza hut, but in the form of a calzone cut in 4. It's a little on the greasy end, my first and fourth daughter said it was just okay. Turkey Sandwich - w/no lettuce or tomatoes ** Again, I don't like soggy foods, so ordering this sandwich was a treat for lunch the next day. Sandwich is good, cheese is too thick for me, I tried reheating it during lunch, but the cheese refused to melt...so there's that! Baklava - Ordered a lot because who doesn't like baklava? I will however, suggest that you get the baklava tray in the actual market, it comes with a variety of flavors and it's only $11.99 (wish I had gotten a pic, but here we are)! Overall, I would recommend this spot to others curious about Egyptian food, it's similar to Mediterranean and worth the try. We would most likely return for the Gyro and Chicken Shawarma sandwiches.
