I absolutely love Moms! I went there for the first time this past weekend with my bf. He's been before, as he lives in Redlands. Moms is so charming, cute, and nostalgic for me, as I grew up in rural Oregon. I love there is a place that is hanging on to things that make America...America! Evette and Donna gave us a lot of samples and we were so spoiled for choice. I think we spent a couple hours trying to decide what to get and just being amazed. We finally decided on Guinness Mustard, Apple Butter, and Bunny Jam. We look forward to returning because there's so much we want to try. Also, the gift shop has so many things I wanted too. Keep up the great work, Moms!

After our party had u-pick apple and tried apple cider donuts, this mom-and-pop market was our last stop and I am glad that I didn't skip this place. This small market offers various homemade jams, jellies, honey, preserves, pickled products, etc. If you didn't get a chance to pick any apples because you miss the u-pick apple season or didn't pick any good looking apples, then you can find some of the most BEAUTIFUL and pre-picked apples in u-pick brown bags ($14 per bag) inside the market and it would be less than what you pay at a u-pick farm ($20 per bag.) In addition, you even get to choose different varieties of apples too (e.g. rome, braeburn, gala, etc.) There were also plenty of not-so-pretty-looking apples in big cardboard boxes outside of the front entrance for much cheaper prices. At the end I got a bag of homemade dark chocolate almond clusters ($8.95 per 1/2 lb) and it was amazing. The market opens all year round except Christmas and you can order some of their most amazing homemade products on their website too. It was also one of the few places in Oak Glenn with a sign that asks customers to wear masks upon entering and all employees had their masks on (San Bernardo county doesn't have a mask mandate so the shop doesn't have to do this.) Overall I highly recommend this amazing and lovely market in Oak Glen!

Such a sweet mom n pop place located on the way up to Oak Glen Mountain shopping area. Parking in their own parking lot in front, you walk into a warm, friendly market which includes some local produce (yay avocados) with all sorts of apples, homemade breads, locally made soaps, ciders and shelves of jam -- sugar free and otherwise. I had such a hard time narrowing my purchase on a recent visit, but went with the Bunny jam, Olive sourdough bread and some produce. I would have liked cider, but since it was late in the day, they ran out (no surprise)! Mom's also looks out for their customers requiring masks and the distancing rules when check out at the cashier. Bees were buzzing at the front door, they made sure patrons made their way around to the side door. An elderly patron announced her 90-something Birthday, they gave her a couple of free apples. Really nice! I'll definitely be back again!

The owners are so incredibly kind, it brought to mind southern hospitality. You can tell they truly love their craft and love sharing it with the world! They give out free samples of apple slices as you walk around the shop & explore their vast array of Knick knacks and huge assortment of jellies and jams. They also let you sample any of the jellies before you buy. I came for their famous apple butter I read about online umm idk why I thought it would be like the apple butter and bread you get at Lucille's BBQ but it was more like applesauce. It was still good it just wasn't what I was expecting / hoping for. I ended up leaving with an apple cider ice pop. It was delicious and so simple, reminded me when we'd freeze random juices in my childhood.

Moms Country Orchards is open 364 days of the year (closed only on Christmas day) and is the place to go for jams, jellies, pickled foods, sauces and syrups. Started by 2 mom's, this place has been around since 2002. As my husband, our little girl dog (they gave our little girl a dog treat when we came into the store) and I were leaving Oak Glen, after a fun day of apple picking yesterday, we decided to stop here. The name intrigued us and figured it would be worth a stop. We were warmly greeted by the 2 employees inside and offered a sample of a refreshing Fuji apple and a bartlett pear. Both were delicious and a special for either 2 lb bag was selling for $8. One of the employees (whom I assume could either be the manager or possibly the owner?) had asked if we like honey. She let us try a few samples and told us that they can offer anything in the store to sample, in which we ended up trying several different jams and jellies, mustards and a few sauces. In the end, I decided to get a jar of the Bunny Jam ($8.95), which was told they had made and sold this jam around Easter of this year, thus the name. This particular jam is made with peaches and strawberries. I love that there are so many unique combinations of preserves, jams/ jellies and other jarred items. I really wished Mom's was closer. This is definitely a great place to pick up hostess gifts, a gift for those who love to do their own cheese and charcuterie boards, a gift for those who do afternoon tea or anyone you know who would like a little extra sweetness in their life.

A MUST STOP! Amazing selection of apples and home made jams. Staff will let you sample the apples and during non covid times they let you sample the jams! Staff is more then happy to answer all your questions. An amazing experience. I will be shipping their spreads to my house when I run out.

    Watercore in King David Apple.

They were very friendly, and gave us samples of apples that we were interested in. We really like the King Davids, and took a bag of them. I told the lady that I'm picky about eating my apples, as I do not like apples that have blemishes or bruises, etc. The woman picked out another bag; one that looked better that the one we were going to buy. I have mixed feelings about the quality of the apples we purchased. So far, although the flavor is fine, two out of three have not been crisp, like the one we tried in the store. And they also have "Watercore." See the pictures. I looked this up, watercore indicates an older apple, although it's safe to eat, and it's preferred if you want to ferment your apples for hard cider. There you have it. :)

The best apple butter I've had in a long time + the apple pie candle is UNREAL. I don't even have to light it and my living room smells like apple pie spice (soy wax too)! This country farm stand is an absolute gem. Please stop and go!

The staff informed us that depending on what apples we want to pick, we would need to head to different parts of the farm and the price would vary. We went towards the pink ladies because I'm a huge fan. We got 2 bags and began slowly twisting the apples off the trees. Our son had a great time that he quickly filled up 2 bags and we ended up spending about $30 on all the apples. We saw they still had some pumpkins, a field for chestnuts, and fields for other types of apples. We may be back to pick other fruits when they are in season. We decided to take a break and there were a couple of stalls to purchase merchandise, snacks, and food. We tried some fresh kettle corn which was hot and popped to perfection. There was so much to see and do at the farm, such as corn maze, petting zoo, and being able to pick a bucket of apples to press your own cider! We lined up at the farm kitchen for lunch for some bbq. While waiting for 45 minutes, I could see them grilling the meats and it looked delicious. I ordered tri-tip sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, some ribs, apple slaw, and some cowboy beans. They gave us the bbq sauce on the side to put as much as we want on the meats. The meats were salty, which was disappointing, and the tri-tip was slightly tough. The ribs weren't fall of the bones, but perhaps I was expecting too much. After putting the bbq sauce on the meats, it did balance out the saltiness. The cowboy beans were ok and the apple slaw was my favorite. It had a good balance of sweet from the apples they grow and the vinegar taste that was mixed in with the other ingredients. Before we left the farm, I had to buy a small bottle of cold apple cider and a sugar free apple pie. The apple cider was definitely refreshing on a hot day and it wasn't too sweet! We arrived shortly after the farm opened up on a Saturday and was able to find a spot in the parking lot that was almost full. I read that the parking lots open up about an hour before the farm is open, so my advice is to get there early. Otherwise, you'll probably get directed to another parking lot and require some walking. The farm was clean and all the staff we interacted with were friendly.

It's a lovely place to visit, especially if you appreciate nature and simple pleasures. Even in the off-season, Oak Tree Mountain was enjoyable, and I can only imagine how charming it must be during peak season.

More importantly, we laughed and had a great time. When we arrived early in the morning, the temperature was 35 degrees and overcast. If you plan to visit here anytime soon, BRING a jacket as you WILL feel the chill the second you open your car door. It was pretty chilly, but it felt GREAT as the air was crisp and fresh. I read the many negative Yelp reviews regarding an additional fee to visit the upper area. Thank goodness they were not charging during our visit, as we would have done exactly what many other visitors did before us and left. The small shops were lovely to visit, as all the items sold are handmade and, surprisingly, very affordable. One shop was offering 50% off EVERYTHING, so my family and friends definitely took advantage of the savings. This is a fun place to visit and to get away from it all for a few hours, as long as they do not charge visitors any additional fees, including parking, which, during our visit, was free. Thank goodness for anything free nowadays.

Low-key and charming, with some unique surprises. Chief among them, the craft apple cider cocktails. I got a mule and my daughter and wife got a tasty, smoky Bourbon revelation in a glass. (Well, actually a plastic cup, but I'd drink either out of a rusty hubcap they're that good.) "Would you like some ratatouille crostini to go with that?" "But of course!" (Best call I made all weekend!) Sit by the fire or find a spot of sun at one of the scattered tables. Walk around and explore. Go to the creek at the back of the property and listen to the water go burbling along over the rocks and through the brambles. We were there early (just short of 11 a.m.) so it wasn't too crowded. If you want a commercial experience, go to the Village or else where on the mountain. If you want something truer, go to Stone Soup Farm.

This farm has always been a family favorite, we've taken the kids here year after year due to its beautiful scenery and very nice staff. The store sells awesome marmalade! The tour is relatively short, but very informative, which is perfect for kiddos, and there's very few people compared to busy weekends! The activities such as panning for gemstones and candle dipping are very fun for the kids, and I cannot say enough good things about their new children's garden! I highly recommend this farm, they have beautiful private picnics as well!
