What a fun place! My boyfriend and I came here for a date and we had a blast. There's so much apple picking, hiking, cider pressing, shopping, etc. you really can fill an entire day with the activities here. We picked apples, pressed apples for apple cider, shopped at the many little shops, and walked the trails. I will definitely be back!

My favorite farm in this Oak Glen area so far! This farm is a scene retreat from the city for relaxing apple picking. It can get crowded in the designated picking areas, or the areas left with the apples. But there were plenty of apples and rows of picturesque apple trees to meander and get lost in. The apple orchard was large with many different types of apples. And after picking all your apples, you can pay them at the front, and even continue on with pressing cider. Really fun for the experience, and I wouldn't expect the best apples in the world. The ones at the stores are always all sorted. Already excited to come by again for raspberry or pumpkin picking next time!

we ate lunch here- beautiful weather with a nice hiking trial bbq place and also a free petting zoo. I thought the beef sandwhich was pretty good but the apple crumble pie wasn't like a regular crumble. They microwaved it so it melted on the top- not my style. The chili soup was very good and the apple cider drinks are a must. Visit the free hiking trails and do the u-picks.

This was my first time picking apples and they were so delicious. Such a nice experience enjoying nature and cute little trail. I would say it is a little pricey, but worth it. Would definitely come again!

Brought my kids to Rileys Farm for a field trip. The day was planned out for us which was really nice. All the kids got to visit different stations where they got to make apple cider, clean a cabin, make their own candle, play with wooden toys, and experience a story of the farm. All activity where hands on and very well put together. We only participated in the homestead part of the farm. Already planning our next trip back to experience the revolutionary side of the farm. Great family experience. Love that my kids got to play and experience fun the old fashion way.

I keep forgetting to go earlier for the raspberry picking, but we still made it out w a pint full after 1 hour of combing through thorny raspberry bushes. Also explored the pumpkin, sunflower, apple, tomato, watermelon orchard. I wanted to do the cider press, but I didn't want to pay $25 for a gallon ($20 if you don't press it yourself). I would've done the corn maze but it was $10 which seemed overpriced. Fyi, the petting zoo and the nature trails (at the Preserve) is at Riley's at the next orchard which is best to drive to. I would love to go back for the hikes at the Preserve. Tomahawk throwing- I surprisingly hit the target on my 1st try! The staff who gave me very brief pointers was surprised. Kept asking if I had done it before. And i also hit it once with the handle stuck inside it. That counts, right?

Glad that I took a group of students on a field trip to Riley's Apple Farm! We had a really good time! 4 stars!!!! Since it's located in the Oak Glen/Yucaipa area, it was a long ride on a school bus from the San Gabriel Valley area, but the activities at the farm made the field trip totally worth it for the kids, chaperones, and me. The price of $14/participant included a number of activities for the kids, from knife and axe throwing, to archery, to rope making, to apple cider pressing, as well as going on a nature walk on the farm. The staff at Riley's did a really good job engaging the students during all the activities! Out of all them, the most popular ones for the kids was of course the axe and knife throwing, followed closely by apple cider pressing and tasting! The apple cider was so delicious! Not included in the field trip price is the apple picking activity that we did after lunch, which was at about $2.50 per pound. Apple picking season starts around Labor Day, but if you're hoping to schedule a field trip, reservations are not accepted until early November. The farm is way too busy in the months of September and October to accept group field trip reservations. Luckily, the apple crop in 2018 is pretty good, and there were still plenty of apples to pick when we went to Riley's on the first Saturday of November. Granted, the apples were more on the small size, but we had the chance to select from apple varieties such as Braeburn, Fuji, and Red Delicious. Make sure to have time for gift shop area where you can purchase souvenirs, as well as preserved goodies such as jams, jellies, and apple butter. Make sure to pick up a jar or two of the apple butter. It's absolutely divine! Thank you Riley's Apple Farm for making our field trip a lot of fun!!!

Riley's Apple Farm is one of the smaller farms in the Oak Glen (Yucaipa) area. Free parking is available all along Oak Glen Road but there is also some parking at the farm as well ($5 for parking). Riley's Apple Farm is between Willowbrook and Stone Soup Farm. Because it is down a long road, it is some what hidden, although the sign is visible from Oak Glen Road. Dog friendly apple farm, this is the 2nd farm that my husband, our little girl dog and I stopped by this past Sunday afternoon. With some apples still left on the trees in the U- Pick area, we were able to get some apples (various apples to pick from include Fuji, Red Delicious, Red Rome and Braeburn). Typically apple picking season does not usually last through November, but the employee on the phone had told me that they had a very good season this year and so we were still able to come (be sure to call ahead of time to make sure there are still fruits available for picking). When I had called 1 week ago, the woman on the phone had told me that dogs are allowed on grassy areas and hiking trails, but not in the U Pick area or store. However, we saw plenty of people with their pets in the U Pick area. When we walked up to get a few paper bags to hold our apples (before heading to the U Pick area), the employee there did not say anything to us. Same with when we brought our little girl to the store to pay for our apples (you pay by the pound, which was $2.50/ lb on our visit). The majority of apples we picked were on the smaller side (most were smaller than a size of a tennis ball), but that is expected (however, at another farm in this area, the apples were bigger and felt that their U Pick area was better well kept. But know that this apple orchard is still great and very fall photo worthy for those of you who are on social media). There is plenty of shaded areas and places to sit in case you wish to eat a packed lunch after you pick your apples, like we did. There is also a sink in the store if you want to wash and eat some of the apples that you just picked. Now if you rather now pick apples, there are some already pre picked apples in the store (slightly less than $2.50 per lb). You can also make your own cider ($20 per gallon bottle) Also currently right now, pumpkins are still available and at half price. I am glad that we came to this farm first so that we could experience apple picking. It was nice that it wasn't too crowded here and we were able to get good photos and make memories. Will definitely make apple picking a yearly family thing and will most likely stop by Riley's Apple Farm again. Please note that you will most likely not have any cell phone service out in this area but we were able to use our GPS to lead us to this farm.

Every year we come to either Riley's or Willowbrook next-door for apple picking depending on which one has the longer line lol. Riley's apple farm is charming and picturesque. Their apples are pretty small this year, but it's a great place to bring kids as a lot of them are low hanging and they could pick it themselves. They also sell freshly made apple pie, and cider as well as some other hot foods here. ***I'd highly recommend either coming right before they open or an hour before closing for minimum lines and close parking! They are open on weekends 10am-4pm during the season***

The entire place is set up like colonial America, and the attention to detail is incredible. All of the staff stay fully in character the entire time, and their costumes are beautifully made and very detailed. It really adds to the whole experience. The farm itself isn't your typical farm,it's more of a historical village with different stations set up to demonstrate things like candle making, crocheting from that time period, how the judicial system worked, and even the types of games people used to play. One of the highlights was the Revolutionary War reenactment at the end, where the kids actually got to participate as soldiers. It was such a cool experience and also really educational at the same time. I went as part of a school group, but you could definitely visit on your own and still have a great time. The food was good, but the baked goods were the real standout -- fresh breads, pies, cookies, homemade ice cream, shakes... everything tasted amazing. I also liked that you can order ahead online and just pick up when you get there. The staff were incredibly patient and kind with the kids, even when they got a little impatient, which I really appreciated. Overall, it felt like being transported back in time, and I would absolutely love to come back again.

The staff informed us that depending on what apples we want to pick, we would need to head to different parts of the farm and the price would vary. We went towards the pink ladies because I'm a huge fan. We got 2 bags and began slowly twisting the apples off the trees. Our son had a great time that he quickly filled up 2 bags and we ended up spending about $30 on all the apples. We saw they still had some pumpkins, a field for chestnuts, and fields for other types of apples. We may be back to pick other fruits when they are in season. We decided to take a break and there were a couple of stalls to purchase merchandise, snacks, and food. We tried some fresh kettle corn which was hot and popped to perfection. There was so much to see and do at the farm, such as corn maze, petting zoo, and being able to pick a bucket of apples to press your own cider! We lined up at the farm kitchen for lunch for some bbq. While waiting for 45 minutes, I could see them grilling the meats and it looked delicious. I ordered tri-tip sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, some ribs, apple slaw, and some cowboy beans. They gave us the bbq sauce on the side to put as much as we want on the meats. The meats were salty, which was disappointing, and the tri-tip was slightly tough. The ribs weren't fall of the bones, but perhaps I was expecting too much. After putting the bbq sauce on the meats, it did balance out the saltiness. The cowboy beans were ok and the apple slaw was my favorite. It had a good balance of sweet from the apples they grow and the vinegar taste that was mixed in with the other ingredients. Before we left the farm, I had to buy a small bottle of cold apple cider and a sugar free apple pie. The apple cider was definitely refreshing on a hot day and it wasn't too sweet! We arrived shortly after the farm opened up on a Saturday and was able to find a spot in the parking lot that was almost full. I read that the parking lots open up about an hour before the farm is open, so my advice is to get there early. Otherwise, you'll probably get directed to another parking lot and require some walking. The farm was clean and all the staff we interacted with were friendly.

The Disappointing: Over-Commercialization: There are massive lighting setups in the flower fields now. It feels like there is too much human intervention, and the lavender didn't look as healthy or vibrant as it did during our first visit. Additionally, most of the fields were already harvested and cut flat. I don't think there will be much of bloom later in the month. Food & Pricing Downgrades: We ordered the Lavender Smash Burger and Lavender Carne Asada Fries. The burger patty was overly salty and the fries lacked crispiness. Two years ago, the specialty drinks (Strawberry Lavender Lemonade and Iced Tea) came with a fresh sprig of lavender. This year, there was no garnish at all. The prices have gone up, but the experience feels stripped down. The "No Water" Policy: The farm is incredibly dry and dusty. Selling lemonade here must be an absolute goldmine because they do not provide water. When my husband went around to the stands to ask for water or extra ice cups, he was told no stand has water, and a cashier literally rolled her eyes at him. Word of advice: Bring plenty of your own water and leave it in the car! The "Free" Kids' Craft: The advertised free craft was a huge letdown. It was just basic coloring pages on postcards with zero staff guidance. The actual interactive crafts require an extra fee, which felt cheap considering the high price of admission. The nearby games were also poorly maintained--the foosball table was so old and broken that it used a ping-pong ball that the soccer men couldn't even hit. Tips for Parents: Check the daily schedule carefully before lounging around! We mistakenly thought crafts started in the evening, but weekend activities actually start at 1:00 PM. Overall, it's still a decent day trip for photos, but bring your own hydration, manage your expectations on the food, and be prepared for a very commercialized experience.
