Although I'm a member at Carruth Solana Beach and have visited both Carlsbad and Pointe Loma... this is my first visit to the Oceanside location I've been wanting to come in for quite some time, but I never seem to make my way this far north. Yesterday I was driving southbound from Orange County and decided now would be the time to stop in for a member glass. We got here about 15 minutes before last call. Last call is 30 minutes before closing time. There were some people over at the Brewery. Nobody was at the Winery. I got my glass and have a seat there's tons of comfortable leather couch seating. There are high tops and low top tables and a huge outdoor space. This seems like such an amazing place to hang out with a group of friends This was a quick stop in. I'm not sure if there's food available. Definitely will come back here soon read more

I've been to the Little Italy location a few times and have loved it. This was my first time at the Carlsbad location even though I've lived here for years. It's tucked back and between Baba and Campfire, but it's so cute. It's not a huge space but they use it well. Vibes are immaculate. The staff is 10/10. The food is great. Wine is amazing. It's casual and fun. Dogs are welcome. I'll be going back every weekend. read more

Delicious local wine spot. Staff was helpful in helping me choose a wine. I explained I liked sweet white wines and she allowed me to sample a few and I was able to find one that suited me well. The atmosphere is great! Wine barrels decorate the surroundings and there is a brewery in the same building, so options for everyone. We went on a weekend and there was a band. I usually come here for tipping pint, but I decided to go for the wine this time. Carruth has a small selection of high quality wines. I sampled a few before settling on the Pinot Noir. We had a wonderful time at Carruth in Oceanside this afternoon. I brought my parents and friends on a Thursday afternoon. There was plenty of space on the outdoor patio to enjoy a table with heaters to make it a comfortable experience. We split a bottle and got a pizza from the hangar76 pizza spot. Have to say, love their Pinot Noir. My friend got the Sauvignon Blanc and found it very drinkable. The staff is so nice and very knowledgeable if you have questions about the wines. It is a great installation at Hangar 76 so you really can't go wrong. Plenty of casual seating with a water station as well. read more

Awesome winebar! I helped myself to a tasting and enjoyed them on the large back patio. This great outdoor space had lots of families hanging out and they even had a great 90's cover band playing into the night. I would definitely recommend this place for a date night! read more

This wine is not good and incredibly overpriced. We go to Hangar for Tipping Pint beer which is outstanding. The beer is excellent. I'm not sure what the prices are at their other locations but at this one they have a malbec coming in at I believe $17 a glass. I wouldn't mind spending the money, but the wine is not good. They have a targeted audience so I'm sure they're doing really well but it's a shame that as a local we don't have a good wine spot in that location! By all means if you want great beer and pizza this is the spot. Really cool ambience and Live music, delicious pizza and other food. My opinion is to stick with the beer.! read more

I was really surprised to find a winery in Oceanside that was so reasonably priced with good wine. We had initially stopped in to try the brewery (Tipping Pint also great), but after seeing people come in for the winery as well, we had to try it. It's listed under Hangar 76 as a multi-tenant location. There is live music, and food on the weekends as well. The customer service is great! They were knowledgeable, kind and really great as answering questions. They have five (1 oz) tasters in their flight options ($20 per flight). One is already curated and the other is bartender's choice. We enjoyed both options. I really liked how they presented the tasters as they were easy to take back to a table and pour when we got there. For a fun wine experience with tasty wine and good service, this is the place! read more

Really enjoyed that this was a combined joint with a brewery. Ordered a red wine flight. The Sangiovese and Tatoo blend were hands down the winners of the 5 I tried. The Pino Noir was a bit thin for my liking. The bottles are on the pricey side too.. $50 each for the 2 I would have purchased. I'll spend more on wine for a specific varietal or region, but for a California blend, I decided to pass. Loved the outdoor patio and live music. read more

First of all the building is in disrepair. It appears that they're doing work on the exterior with scaffolding above you as you walk into the business. With temperatures in the 50s and the openness of this the heaters were not even on. The pours were very light And the service was very impersonal. We almost walked out in the beginning as they do not accept cash! We consider this policy Unacceptable. read more

(Pt.2 from Tara).. When Morgan did come outside and approach Kenny after the party left, I was talking to other patrons who were there specifically to see us. I was out of earshot but I could see shock on Kenny's face as she walked away. Others who witnessed this one-sided "conversation" and heard what Morgan said, asked Kenny if she was joking because they couldn't believe she was so outwardly disrespectful and condescending. They said "You guys are great! What's wrong with her?!" I asked Kenny what that was about. He told me we were going to talk to Morgan on our next break. When we did, Kenny asked Morgan to tell me what she had told him. He asked her like 3 times. That's when the other vendor came over. Morgan just stared at me and said nothing. So Kenny told me that she said "Your girl is putting my customers to sleep and they're leaving because of her! I can't believe I hired you!" Etc etc. These comments were witnessed by people who came to see us! This is a FACT! That's "Polite" Adam?! She probably left that part out, didn't she? Morgan was demeaning, rude, and unprofessional towards us. So Kenny called her out on her behavior, and rightfully so! And you say it's "verbal assault"?! I would tread very carefully with those words. You know nothing about this because you weren't there. But regardless, yet again, this is all irrelevant anyway! None of these things even have any bearing whatsoever on the bottom line issue, which is WE WORKED and DID NOT GET PAID! Amusing how you skirt the real issue. The patrons we brought in said they will never patronize your business again after witnessing Morgan's undesirable behavior towards us, and knowing we were not paid. We used to love coming here! Now the amount of screaming kids outside makes it less than enjoyable. This is not a tot lot while the parents drink. Hold your glasses or a 2 yr old will try to grab them, touch the fire pit and throw dirt in the air. We always have to move inside. Now, I'm just frustrated and don't want to go back. How about you section the far back outside area off for kids?! You are loosing customers who have had a long week and want to relax not babysit. Some wineries don't allow kids during prime hours for this reason. read more

My husband surprised me with a bottle from this winery for my birthday and not even knowing a winery was in Oceanside we had to try. The grapes are actually derived from all over the west coast. Our purchased bottle was bottled in Solano Beach with grapes from Napa. We stopped in for a tasting on a Friday afternoon and thought it was pretty nice to be paired with a brewery as my husband prefers beer over wine. They had a nice outdoor area with tables, games, and a woodfired pizza oven as well as indoor seating. I did try the Rose', Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Red Blend. The Pinot was not to my liking, but I actually ended up ordering a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc. I really wish they would have had some type of food or at least a charcuterie board. They did have the pizza, but it was not running yet. On the way out my husband stopped to use the bathroom and we were surprised to see they had no door! Would love to try again in the evening when the pizza is going, and the live entertainment is there. read more

My husband and I decided to come here for some drinks and watch some live music. Having never been here, we were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, but that only lasted a few minutes. This place was FULL of kids running wild. I felt like I was at a daycare. While we were trying to enjoy our drinks and music, there were kids running and jumping right next to us. They were throwing toys playing catch and I thought they were going to knock over my wine. We couldn't even dance because it was full of kids on the dance floor. We're parents too, but we were really hoping to have a night out without kids. Wishing Friday & Saturday nights could be 21 and over. Great combo location at Hangar 76. You can get wine from Carruth, beer from the brewery and they have food Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The barbecue is phenomenal served by Javelina's BBQ. I liked all the wines I tasted, since it's summer I primarily got whites & the rosé, and they were all really good. read more

We did the production tour. The Carruth family of staff made us feel very comfortable even though they were working hard getting all of the grapes processed. We learned a lot and had fun tasting the grapes and various stages of wine development. It was an interesting experience and made us appreciate everything that goes into that bottle of wine we open and drink. I would recommend this experience. read more
