I could not have asked for a better team to spend my wine tour with. Liz was funny, out-going, and always available to take a picture for you. We went to three wineries and each one had something special to offer. The lunch we had was exquisite. The brownie pairing with wine was amazing!!! My group had the turkey wraps, roast beef sandwiches, and the Cesar salad! Food kept us going as we sipped many great wines. After a quick and easy walk through customs, Uncle Jose met us right across the street and got the day started smoothly. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable right away. He guided us through a mix of local shops and restaurants, then gave us the flexibility to visit the spots we specifically wanted. We made our way to Puerto Nuevo for lobster, which absolutely lived up to the hype, and of course stopped at Restaurante Caesar's--the birthplace of the Caesar salad--which was a highlight of the trip. Uncle Jose took great care of us throughout the day and made the experience easy and enjoyable. If you are able to walk across the border and walk back or take a $10 shuttle back into the US, ask for Uncle Jose a warm and knowledgeable local that will take great care of you. I know they're set days and the calendar but I like to be excited surprised every time I go so I never know what I'm getting into. There is trivia night which is free. I don't officially play, but I quietly play. They have food vendors coming in. All local usually pizza or cheese or something fun. The staff has changed over a bit over the years.
