This is a great, chill spot for a glass of wine and some snacks. The staff is always so nice and accommodating. I never have any issues with seating (more with parking!). I would recommend coming here while you wait for your dinner reservation at Nicks or Campfire

From Chicago, my daughter wanted to do a wine tasting and we discovered this hidden gem in downtown Carlsbad. I'm a rookie when it comes to wine tasting, but here's a little glimpse: We decided to do a wine tasting flight (4/5). Cool concept where you get to try samples of 5 different wines. The only one I really liked was the Sauvignon blanc, the only white wine. We also got a charcuterie board (3/5), which is ala carte rather than pre made. The fig spread and the French bread were my favorite. The ambiance (4/5) was good, a lot of people, pretty friendly. The hostess was very helpful. Took time with us. Recommended.

Amazing service!! Brance was the sweetest def recommend his choice:) he has an amazing personality as well!

Carruth is an amazing wine tasting room in the village. I love coming here with friends to grab a glass or even a wine flight. My personal favorite wine from them is the Cabernet Sauvignon. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, especially Ryan who works at the Carlsbad village location. There is ample seating inside and outside so you can enjoy the beautiful Carlsbad weather with a glass of wine in hand.

Cool hang in Carlsbad and we just missed happy hour by literally 2 minutes and the older lady aka manager said no. :(. We still had a glass of Chardonnay before dinner.

Their wine flight is the way to go if you're just strolling through the city and want to have a good time. You have two options: "Keep it Light" or "Smooth and Silky" (each of which has its own specialties). I also highly recommend getting a charcuterie board because they serve delicious cheese and bread that pair so nicely with the wine.

I loved it here! The winery itself had a really cute vibe with a great indoor/outdoor seating area. I went with a club member (and would totally join if I were local) and we got to do some free tastings. The tastings were generous and the staff was friendly. I liked that they pre-served the tasting flight for us so we could go off and chat and just ask questions as needed. The wine itself is really good! I liked everything I tasted and thought the bottle prices were very reasonable for the quality and taste. I can't wait to go back!

It's time for an updated review I didn't write when I was drunk! Carruth Cellars is our favorite spot. After a few visits we quickly joined the wine club as members and enjoy going every week for our two free glasses and monthly bottle pick ups. The atmosphere is great - comfortable, quaint, and yet upscale. The bread and cheese selection is fantastic and Friday pizzas are a treat. Live music on Sundays! Staff is always friendly and accommodating. I won't drink Chardonnay anywhere else, but I love theirs. Wine tasting flights are the way to pick your favorite blend. Carruth is the perfect spot for locals and tourists alike.

We were skeptical to try a tasting room in the village as our experience for wines outside of a wine region isn't the best. Luckily for us, Carruth source their Grapes from wine regions and they're winemakers. We did find their wines to be pretty good. We did liked their Syrah and ended up getting a glass. The other perk, they have a sparkling water tap, love it!

Cute and convenient, good wines . Fun little "local" gathering . Lots of people joining and brought their own snacks. Tried a red and a white and took home a bottle of the unicorn. Narrow patio and fair indoor seating . Will stop in again to give some more wines a try.

Although we're members from the Solana Beach location we always try to hit the Carlsbad tasting room when up in far north county. I honestly prefer this one. I like the vibe. I like the peeps... I like the setup... It's hidden, it's mellow and intimate... Chelsea was super cool... Gonna try the oside location next!

Barrel Select Cabernet Sauvignon | Alexander Valley 2019

We absolutely loved this wine tasting room! Delectable selection of wines, focusing on quality rather than variety. Claret Blend was bright, medium-bodied red blend made with Sonoma County grapes. Perfect for sipping on a warm afternoon. I highly recommend the Barrel Select Cab from Alexander Valley! Full body, notes of dark plum, fig jam, squashed raspberries, licorice. Complex and refined. Saaha and Shauna were very friendly and knowledgeable, helping us find the perfect choice for what we were craving for. Also, the vibe is very relaxed. You can easily spend a couple of hours or more. We will definitely keep coming back!

Of course traffic made us 15 minutes late and we were able to text Miguel this and he let us know it was fine and to drive safe. When we arrived he told us everything that would happened. We went to the first winery and it would close early due to a wedding but that had nothing to do with us since we got there at 1 and it closed at 3. It was cute seeing the wedding party dressed up and taking photos. The winery has a wagon tour through the vineyard but the employee's told us more and likely it wouldn't happen because not much people were around for it, Miguel wasn't hearing that! He asked if he gathered people would they do it and they said yes so awesome Miguel went around and asked people to ride and next thing we know we are on a full wagon tour that was so awesome of him to make sure we got the full experience, plus they offer free wine on this ride. We then went to the second location where he paid for our drink and gave us a snack on the house, perfect and the jellies were so delicious. This was a relaxing stop. Drink and eat the snack with a view (pictured). The staff there was sweet and funny, live music being played. The last stop was just as relaxing and nice (try the frozen slushie wine!). You go in get your drink and find a seat with a view (pictured with the Orfila slushie). This is where we got our surprised gift afterwards. One thing I loved is that Miguel allows you to spend time with your friends/loved ones while he snaps pictures and sends them to you so you can enjoy the moment but still have great photo memories. He doesnt rush you to allow yourself to have as much fun as you want. The end was a suprise when he Overall I would recommend this tour to anyone who visits San Diego / Escondido area.

The people here on the day we came are pretty respectful of everyone's time. I offered to take people's photos and they reciprocated back. It was pretty great despite the super hot weather. PS DEFINITELY BRING AN UMBRELLA!!! I'm so glad I did. Hats can be good too but I feel like it could be inconvenient if you want to take pics of your face in clear view. Once you walk up to the fields, you can immediately line up to which bench you want to take pics at or do some of your own shots. Plentyyy of space to do so, no need to worry on people showing up in your photos up there in the fields. I think the statues and included photo-ops are a delight for some, but wasn't a must for us to take pics at. Only taking off a star rating because I find the prices for the tickets a bit costly but the flowers are very well-maintained and taken care of. One side of the flower fields were much more bloomed than the other side. I'm pretty glad we took pics at the more bloomed side. Great one of a kind experience!!! Extra activities to do include a tractor ride (looks like it's treated like a train station where you get dropped off in certain areas of the fields) and I saw a butterfly exhibit but you have to pay extra for and line up at.
