    Let it flow tasting flight
    Jennifer P.

Came here after having dinner at Pizza Port. It took a little bit of effort to find as the building on the street is under scaffolding and we had to make our way back. I was previously a member at Solana Beach for years but let the membership go when they expanded and it lost all the things I loved about them. This space is TINY. They have seating, a stage and the bar but compared to the Solana beach location (the one they are in now, not the original one). We had difficulty finding seating but a person was leaving, let us know and we were able to grab a table. Unfortunately the table was not in any kind of shade and it was a hot day so it shortened my time there. I decided to have a wine flight "Let it Flow" which included the chardonnay, saginee rose, merlot, unicorn blend and cabernet sauvignon. The chardonnay and rose were good. The unicorn blend was very spicy (peppery). The other wines were ok. I was happy to see the GSM back on the menu (it was a favorite of mine) but at $50 a bottle and no option to get a glass, I skipped it. The flight was $25 pre-tax. The bartender who helped us was super nice. My husband tasted 2 different wines trying to decide what he wanted. If I was in the area I would consider stopping by again. While there we did discuss renewing our wine membership as remembered our visits previously fondly. There was live music while we were there and it was nice but not intrusive.

This is a great, chill spot for a glass of wine and some snacks. The staff is always so nice and accommodating. I never have any issues with seating (more with parking!). I would recommend coming here while you wait for your dinner reservation at Nicks or Campfire

Amazing service!! Brance was the sweetest def recommend his choice:) he has an amazing personality as well!

From Chicago, my daughter wanted to do a wine tasting and we discovered this hidden gem in downtown Carlsbad. I'm a rookie when it comes to wine tasting, but here's a little glimpse: We decided to do a wine tasting flight (4/5). Cool concept where you get to try samples of 5 different wines. The only one I really liked was the Sauvignon blanc, the only white wine. We also got a charcuterie board (3/5), which is ala carte rather than pre made. The fig spread and the French bread were my favorite. The ambiance (4/5) was good, a lot of people, pretty friendly. The hostess was very helpful. Took time with us. Recommended.

Carruth is an amazing wine tasting room in the village. I love coming here with friends to grab a glass or even a wine flight. My personal favorite wine from them is the Cabernet Sauvignon. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, especially Ryan who works at the Carlsbad village location. There is ample seating inside and outside so you can enjoy the beautiful Carlsbad weather with a glass of wine in hand.

Cool hang in Carlsbad and we just missed happy hour by literally 2 minutes and the older lady aka manager said no. :(. We still had a glass of Chardonnay before dinner.

Keep it Light wine flight (front) & Smooth and Silky wine flight (back)

Their wine flight is the way to go if you're just strolling through the city and want to have a good time. You have two options: "Keep it Light" or "Smooth and Silky" (each of which has its own specialties). I also highly recommend getting a charcuterie board because they serve delicious cheese and bread that pair so nicely with the wine.

It's time for an updated review I didn't write when I was drunk! Carruth Cellars is our favorite spot. After a few visits we quickly joined the wine club as members and enjoy going every week for our two free glasses and monthly bottle pick ups. The atmosphere is great - comfortable, quaint, and yet upscale. The bread and cheese selection is fantastic and Friday pizzas are a treat. Live music on Sundays! Staff is always friendly and accommodating. I won't drink Chardonnay anywhere else, but I love theirs. Wine tasting flights are the way to pick your favorite blend. Carruth is the perfect spot for locals and tourists alike.

I loved it here! The winery itself had a really cute vibe with a great indoor/outdoor seating area. I went with a club member (and would totally join if I were local) and we got to do some free tastings. The tastings were generous and the staff was friendly. I liked that they pre-served the tasting flight for us so we could go off and chat and just ask questions as needed. The wine itself is really good! I liked everything I tasted and thought the bottle prices were very reasonable for the quality and taste. I can't wait to go back!

Cute and convenient, good wines . Fun little "local" gathering . Lots of people joining and brought their own snacks. Tried a red and a white and took home a bottle of the unicorn. Narrow patio and fair indoor seating . Will stop in again to give some more wines a try.

We were skeptical to try a tasting room in the village as our experience for wines outside of a wine region isn't the best. Luckily for us, Carruth source their Grapes from wine regions and they're winemakers. We did find their wines to be pretty good. We did liked their Syrah and ended up getting a glass. The other perk, they have a sparkling water tap, love it!

Although we're members from the Solana Beach location we always try to hit the Carlsbad tasting room when up in far north county. I honestly prefer this one. I like the vibe. I like the peeps... I like the setup... It's hidden, it's mellow and intimate... Chelsea was super cool... Gonna try the oside location next!

Small alleyway wine tasting. Two seat tables and not enough heat lamps. But I must say there is great parking behind the venue.

They arrived on time and provided us with great commentary about the history of the wineries we were going to as we were driving up to them. The individuals that were on the tour with me made it even more fun. Our tour guide and driver, Tony, was very knowledgable about the area, its history, and wine making. They texted me the night before and the day of the tour reminding about the pick date & time. I really appreciated that they offer transportation. Tony picked me up from the hotel, along with other individuals of the tour, and he also dropped us off at the end of the tour. The drive was really fun because Tony let us take over the aux. He's also very knowledgable about the area, so we learned a lot about Temecula's history and other wineries during the drive. At the end of the tour, Tony even gave us dinner recommendations based on our preferences. Thank you Tony! We visited three different wineries: Wilson Creek Winery, Cougar Vineyard & Winery, and Fazeli Cellars Winery. My favorite winery from the three was Wilson Creek Winery. We tasted 6 wines at Wilson Creek, 5 wines at Cougar, and 6 wines at Fazeli! We had a guided tour by "Motor City Mike" at Wilson Creek. He is an incredible teacher. He gave us a tour around the winery, educated us about viniculture and corks, and taught us about the Wilson's history. They also acknowledged my birthday by giving me a necklace with a cork on it. Such a sweet gesture. We did not have a guided tour at the other two wineries. Lunch was included. While booking on their website, you get to choose which sandwich you'd like. We ate lunch at the Cougar Vineyard & Winery. I chose the roast beef sandwich, and it comes with a side of salad and a brownie. The winery is absolutely beautiful and the views are breathtaking. The best part is that they're pet-friendly! They even have adoption opportunities, and you can meet the puppies! I completely forgot the names of the wine I tasted, but I thought the wine was okay. Our last stop was at Fazeli Cellars Winery. The structure and outdoor area is very nice. Service is very courteous, attentive, and knowledgable. I thought it was unique because their wine contains interesting ingredients, especially the sweet wines. A friend I met on the tour ordered a flat bread, and we shared it. The flat bread was delicious and paired well with the wine. Highly recommend Grapeline Wine Tours! This was an unforgettable birthday experience. My only critique is that I prefer a guided tour at each winery because I'd like to learn more about its history, their own wine, and their own techniques in wine making.
