Took L1 WSET With Al and Julie today. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and so helpful. They made the day so fun and I learned so much!

Woah!!!! Banger alert!!!…read more Got a flight and partook in the food too. Its a menu and sort of fine-dining feel (and pricing) to it. Luckily, the mussels were absolutely aces and the beer I tried was JAWDROPPING. Their lighter selections were so well done and unique. Alter Reality and Abnormally German are a MUST!!! Balanced sweetness, pilsner goodness. Their Hazy, American IPA were very reminiscent of old Burgeon, like a supercitrus but still good. Its close to my house and I should come more often, I had tried their beers before but never been to the location. If you still go to Stone, then its time to step it up and go here. The ambiance is legit. Customer service was good too.

The good: The staff was great, pleasant, professional and helpful. The offering of beers wasn't great, but was adequate. The outdoor seating area was OK, but the shade cloth was so worn as to provide little to no shade at all. The bad: The seats are incredibly uncomfortable, we hated them. BUT, saving the worst until last, today there was 11 of us. To avoid any ongoing hassles we always run and pay our own tab. On each of our bills there was a 20% charge for "Large Group" plus another 4% just labelled "Surcharge". We have collectively visited at least 20 breweries in the San Diego area and have never been hit with this kind of a charge. In paying my bill I noted to my server that I saw the "Large Group" charge on the tab. The server told me that particular charge "goes to the house" and if I wanted to tip the server I had to put an additional tip on the line provided on the receipt. So, if you want to tip your server at this place you're going to be getting close to a total of 50% tip on your bill. We have several breweries that we visit repeatedly, Abnormal will not be one of those. We all agreed that we are done with Abnormal brewery.

The food is just as impressive, everything tasted flavorful and high quality. The service was also top notch! We hosted a wine tasting and bites event here for our alumni group and it ended up being one of our favorite events we've done. They set us up on the private patio, turned on the TVs so we could play themed videos, and even changed the string lights to match our school colors. The level of thoughtfulness really stood out. The salad, veggie plate, and french fries were all amazing and they also have gluten free flatbreads that were incredible. Every time food came out, they made sure to call out any dietary notes, which we really appreciated. I've already been telling friends they need to go try it, and I'll definitely be buying a few bottles as gifts this year. It's that good. Perfect spot for date night, happy hour, birthdays, or any kind of get together or event.

This one doesn't even come close to it. The service personnel obviously lacked training. The tables lacked the basics, not even salt and pepper, although the water sevice was served in cold bottles and glasses, which was a good touch. The menu was limited, best for luch. My wife ordered a salad, which was average. I ordered a chicked pesto sandwich wich was pre-heated, and did not taste fresh at all. It was barely warm. We ordered focacia bread that was served with some garlic cream. The food presentation was amateurish. We did not finish our food and promptly left the restaurant.

We live near this winery and it is the only place I can find my FAVORITE wine. I refuse to say…read morewhich wine it is because then it will sell out! I have turned all my friend's onto it & I am so thankful to have such nice & kind people running this winery. They have always been so generous with their pours & they have always figured out a way for me to get my hands on my favorite wine. I also visit this winery when my family participates as a vendor during their craft/vendor fairs a couple times a year. I bring my daughter with me & sometimes a friend of hers & we always have a really great time. I have been here several times, well, more than several times. Though I am not a member, I sure feel treated like I am a member. I have attended & held fundraisers here & I have been here for live music or just a quiet place to have girlfriend talk. I love that there are different things happening different days, but it isn't overwhelming like other wineries that get so incredibly busy that they lose their charm completely. I appreciate Koi Zen for the zen it brings me. I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a place to enjoy wine with friends and/or family. Looking forward to my next visit, even though I just walked out with 3 bottles of my favorite wine tonight! Lisa & Darius & their staff are all great & deserve all the kudos. They all work really hard. With love, The birthday girl
