I hate leaving anything less than a positive review because I've actually enjoyed coming to Ocean's Eleven over the years. Even though I somehow manage to lose almost every time I visit (the players always seem to beat me! ), I've always had a good time overall. The atmosphere is usually fun, the staff has generally been friendly, and I have to give credit where it's due--the house chow mein is phenomenal and honestly one of my favorite things to order whenever I'm there. Unfortunately, my experience on August 4th between approximately 7:30 and 8:00 PM completely changed the tone of the evening. The dealer working Table 19, Matt, was incredibly rude and came across as if he didn't want to be there. It wasn't just directed at me either--it seemed like everyone at the table noticed his attitude. You could tell by the reactions from the other players that they were just as surprised by how he was interacting with guests. As a General Manager of a restaurant, I understand better than most that customer service isn't always easy. We all have stressful days, difficult guests, and moments where we'd rather be anywhere else. Hospitality can be exhausting. But at the end of the day, whether you're serving food or dealing cards, you're still in the hospitality industry. Guests are choosing to spend their money at your business, and your attitude can completely shape their experience. I'm not expecting someone to be overly energetic or fake, but a smile, some professionalism, and basic courtesy go a long way--especially in a position where tips are part of the job. I would encourage management to review the camera footage from Table 19 during that time frame. It should give a clear picture of the interactions that took place. If possible, speaking with some of the players who were at that table may also provide valuable feedback, as it definitely didn't seem like I was the only one who felt uncomfortable with the experience. This review isn't meant to attack the casino as a whole because I've genuinely had many enjoyable visits here. It's simply disappointing when one employee's attitude overshadows what has otherwise been a place I've enjoyed coming back to. I'm giving 2 stars because I still like Ocean's Eleven overall, the food is excellent, and I've had plenty of great experiences in the past. I just hope management addresses situations like this so future guests receive the welcoming experience that keeps people coming back. read more

I honestly don't understand who is making decisions at Ocean's Eleven Casino, but it feels like they go out of their way to make things *harder* for players. They used to have a simple, perfectly fine system where you could call in and put your name on the board for poker games. Easy. Convenient. Player-friendly. Now? That's gone. Instead, they're forcing everyone to download an app just to get on a list. Why? Not everyone wants to download another app. Some people don't have the space. Some people don't trust giving random third-party apps access to their phone. And believe it or not, some people *don't even have smartphones*. So what, those players just don't matter anymore? That's not innovation--that's exclusion. If you want to OFFER an app, great. Give people options. But completely removing the ability to call in is just lazy and tone-deaf. It shows zero consideration for your actual customer base. And this isn't the first time management has ignored players. The chip color change on the 4/8 table from blue to pink? Almost nobody liked it. Players spoke up. And just like now--nothing. No listening, no adjustments, no care. At this point, the place feels like our current government--quick to take your money, but not interested in listening to the people who actually keep the lights on. The players are the ones funding this place, and yet their voices couldn't matter less. It really feels like the people making these decisions don't play here, don't talk to players, and frankly don't care. There's no focus on improving the player experience--just unnecessary changes that frustrate everyone. Heartless, out-of-touch management. If you're going to make changes, at least make ones that *help* your customers, not push them away. If I see any changes or improvement, I will remove this comment. read more

I'm no longer a card gambler and only table game I play is Roulette in Vegas, but I still come here from time to time now for the food at Haig's. I have no idea why it's called Haig's but it's a short order food honeyhole. It's hard to find a breakfast that's got this much value. Bacon, eggs, sausage, english muffin, pancakes for $8. All their lunches are filling and inexpensive. A great way to keep you fueled for multi hour table runs. They have American and Asian menus, while kinda taste the same, but they have some bangers. Staff is fantastic, hustler, hospitable, great service. Drink prices are chill and worth every penny. They will almost never cut you off unless you get violent or slur your speach bad, fall asleep. Parking is still terrible, parking across the street may get you ticketed/towed if you park there overnight, so try and park as close as possible to get on the cameras. Lots of homeless in the area, but none in the card rooms. Bathrooms are high traffic, but actually kinda clean. Even after all these years I'm still up on them eventhough with the legalization of online betting I still have reason to come here despite doing it all online or roulette in Vegas. read more

Moved to OC from Los Angeles, and looking for a card casino closer to where I live. This spot is low key and humble, full of locals playing in decent tournaments for a relatviely small buyin. No high stakes, or internet douches, but these are serious players. Good spot to play for fun. read more

Went to visit this poker room while visiting Southern California. Joining the queue was super easy with 5-7 tables of 1/3 and 6-8 table of 2/3 running when I arrived. I see that you can also pre-register prior to arriving through Poker Atlas. Plenty of parking available and the building looks decent and bright. Dealers were very friendly and competent. Thoroughly enjoyed my couple of hours playing and would come back here again if given the opportunity. read more

We enjoy going to Ocean's Eleven Casino because of its convenient location. We usually enjoy a few hands of blackjack before grabbing a bite and a drink. Haig's Bar offers a diverse menu with delicious appetizers and entrees, along with an impressive selection of beverages. The service is always friendly, and the atmosphere can range from relaxed and quiet to lively depending on the time of day. It's also a very clean and well-maintained establishment. He is a very busy man ....He also helped me with the hours Cituation and even told me what's up and coming . I am a nobody and for the GM to make some time for me was over and above nice ! This place is a total rip off. First I walk in and the toilet stinks in the hallway. I had only came here to get a garden burger. It's the only place that's open at 4 o'clock in the morning. They require that I gamble, so I did. The dealer who had a rose on his neck started making decisions for me. He wouldn't let me bet the way I wanted to. I ended up losing $50 in less than five minutes. Total scam. Like what the f dude. Then when my food comes up, they decide to tell me it's only cash or chips. Why didn't they tell me that from the beginning. I could see from looking at the burger that it wasn't cooked at all. Weird because last time I was here it was fine. To top it off they arrogant and rude. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else where they show you some respect. Crap service, crap games... they even stole their name from that really good movie. First time here actually, I met a dude at Seven Mile, and he told me about this place. This establishment is like a hundred times better than S.M. They offer 24 food here because their the kitchen never closes and the food is good and inexpensive. You are allowed to eat at the table while playing the hand. Plenty of tables and a really wonderful and most accommodating staff. They give away $$$ every hour of every day. So many tables to choose from, like the Sycuan. I'll happily return. BTW, the first time you go don't 4get 2 obtain their player's Card. Free $25 in your pocket just 4 registering. Plenty of handicapped parking. read more

just now Stay away from this place especially late night if you are not from OceanSide !!! Ron the Dealer catered to the late night local players, by allowing the big blind and under the gun to chop the pot and not play the hand. Where I am from that is illegal and would never happen!! Late Night Chuck and Rudy directors of the floor were called to check the footage, and they both lied and said that the big blind and the small blind chopped the pot, and that was not true. I asked another dealer if the situation I saw ever happened, and he replied that sometimes dealers allow that as a player courtesy. The table was filled with locals who saw me as the "PHISH", just because I was not from around there. Yet I had played years ago at Ocean Side, and also lived in North County, SD for quiet some time years ago. When I arrived I was so pleased to see a lively and healthy looking poker room at least from the outside. However inside it was seedy and slimly from TOP to bottom. Once I realized that I was not welcome, I quickly and quietly tried to leave, but now I was being targeted by security and did not even feel safe. The card room is supposedly run but the City of Oceanside and is run as a legitimate business. However I do believe that I was targeted when wanting to leave and I may have even been followed by local police who were notified of the situation as seen from the inside by the Floor Director Chuck- who happens to have a nice smile and personality. Spike Lee says "Do the right thing", and that is what I believed I was doing, and yet I had no idea of the consequences and issues that were going to arise, just by calling out a dealer for catering to the local players at the table while we were all there to have an enjoyable experience while at the same time gambling with our own hard earned dollars. If there is a local city employee or city volunteer from Ocean Side that reads this review, and acts accordingly then I have definitely done the correct thing here. Intimidation, bullying and down right meanness is not becoming of North County San Diego, especially when a casino is in the city. Local police should stand up for the visitor and guests not just the local establishments. I even called 911 when leaving and the person answering was unkind and unwilling to truly be supportive over the phone, while I was driving away in fear for my life..... Times may have changed in our country, however San Diego and North County in particular is a shining becaon for hope for a brighter future. I hope the city of Ocean Side and Ocean's 11 Casino are put under the microscope and made to improve if nothing else read more

I went into to Oceans 11 about a week ago and played blackjack and the dealer really made my night out with the girls fun! I'm not sure what his name is, but the next dealer called him TURBO. I have been playing poker at Ocean's Eleven Casino for a long time and it is one of the best places to go! They got new tables and chips recently which are very comfortable and the chips have a good feel. I am more of a cash game player, but they also have a great tournament area. Their food is very delicious, reasonably priced, and there are a lot of options! They also have good promotions with their raffle, and rewards for playing 20 and 100 hours. Jess, at the front desk, is very kind and always helps point me to the right table as there are a lot of them! Marta is my favorite dealer ever because she has a great energy that uplifts the entire table and is very efficient! Overall, I highly recommend Ocean's Eleven Casino for both cash and tournament poker! read more

All the ladies that bus the dirty dishes at your table are a little overzealous sometimes and they're always coming around trying to grab my half finished plate of food lol I recommend you make a sign and put it on your food saying no do not touch until you're finished. Oh, you can walk in without having to show your ID which is really nice. And the security staff makes you feel safe. Arguably the best casino for blackjack and poker in southern California. The blackjack dealers are nice. Tony, Sunshine, and Mindy are always friendly and helpful. The only problem with this casino is the lack of courtesy demonstrated by random blackjack players. As a rule, you should ask if it's okay with the other players at the table before sitting down to join them. You don't want to ruin someone's winning streak. Relax and wait for the right moment, or wait for a new shoe. It's unfortunate, but people have forgotten how to think of others. read more

I'm a long time regular here, I play here 2-3 times a week at medium to high stakes. A lot of the time poker is how I pay my bills. Every employee and security guard knows me here, most by including the manager. I've always been polite to the staff and I think a decent tipper. I have never done anything to warrant being thrown out of any card room, casino or any business for that matter. I'm a former marine and former police officer. I've even assisted security more than once over the years when they have been threatened. With all of that said, Rolland the floor man has raised his voice to me on numerous occasions for some really absurd things over the years that I have always just drop and let go of. I even assisted security last year when Roland almost got into a fist fight out front with a patron because he was having security remove a patron and the guy was upset and calling him names. The man was intoxicated and out of line, but security was being completely professional about it but Roland was cursing back at the patron and telling him he would kick his ass. It was kinda funny because Roland is a very skinny and tiny man with a classic short mans attitude and the patron was about 6'4" and 300lbs. Security was having trouble knowing how to respond because they are supposed to deescalate conflicts and keep the peace but their boss was acting as badly and out of line as the patron they were removing. Had I not helped out by talking the patron down and helping security deescalate the situation it could've gotten much worse. Security thanked me for my help and one newer security guard even told me "I don't really know who you are or your background outside of the casino, but I always feel better during bad situations when I know you're here." That's the person I am.... but Roland has kicked me out twice now! He kicked me out one night at about 2am because the whole table, including the dealer was having trouble with one guy that was slightly intoxicated and threatening another player. When he did that I told the guy none of that was going to happen, he's intoxicated and should call it a night. The guy flipped out on me verbally, told me he would shoot me and stood up and acted like he was going to punch me. I obviously stood up so I could defend myself should this situation go sideways and at that point is when Roland walked back inside from his smoke break and realized there was a problem. Without asking any questions or looking at video he immediately kicked us both out. When Roland walked away with security to escort the other guy to the cage to cash out and then out of the casino the players that he was harassing and being verbally abusive to thanked me for saying something to him to help them out. The dealer even thanked me, then apologized to me for Roland kicking me out too and said he didn't know why Roland was like that. Like most casinos this place isn't in the best part of town and there have been some serious problems here in the past. Years ago a security officer was shot in the lobby from outside and just a few years ago a female dealer was beaten and robbed while getting into her car to go home after her shift. She was beaten so badly she's never worked again and I believe she told me she was on disability for her injuries. The robber got away too. Security has been threatened to be shot many times and I even have seen a man brandish a gun in his waistline to another guy before. Because of the area and history I ALWAYS carry a blade on me legally and it's NEVER been a problem until Roland kick me out today. Sometimes it's in a sheath on my waistline and sometimes it's a neck knife in a sheath around my neck.... often times it's both! This has never been a problem here or at any of the card rooms I go to in LA. Hustler security asks me to put my neck knife under my shirt sometimes when I come in but NO ONE has ever forced me to leave over it because NO ONE is checking patrons for guns, knives or weapons on their waistband as they come in. They check bags, but thats it! Tons of people have weapons hidden somewhere on their persons because it's not a safe area and lots of people including me leave with very large amounts of cash at times. No one smart wants to be the only person without any weapon on them when horrible shit happens. There's not even a sign posted anywhere that states no weapons of any kind are allowed! ... not that it would help because people just hid them anyways because NO ONE IS CHECKING FOR WEAPONS!! I even tried to put my neck knife under my shirt in front of him to appease him and that just caused him to get upset, raise his voice to me and tell me I actually needed to leave and not wear it back in. I tried to explain to him that a lot of people have knives on them hidden but they don't check, so why am I being forced to be unarmed. I had over $10,000 on me. He just got louder and told me I had to leave with it and not wear it again. Completely absurd. read more

Great local card room. I've been going here since 2005. Clean, good food and good action. Keep in mind that the table rake at low limits is RIDICULOUSLY high. The 1/2 cash game buy‐in is $20min/$100max but the table rakes somewhere between $50-$150/hr depending on how many hands are dealt to the flop or further. See the attached image. read more
