I come here often and this has happened to me on more than one occasion. I played at a $25 blackjack table for about 3 hours. I told the dealer I'll be right back so I can hit the ATM. Upon my return I realized the table has been changed to a $100 table because someone who just walked up requested it. I expressed my concern with the pit boss and his answer to me was "I made a decision so now it is what it is" This is not how you treat a loyal patrons. Very polite, smiling and very accommodating and your get the comfortable feeling of everyone truly wants you to be there and have a good time! Been here a few times when I was younger. It's a card house that doesn't have slots. There's blackjack as well as poker. If you enjoy these games, then this is the place for you to visit. I played a few hands and came up but I wasn't used to the type of blackjack that they have. They have what they call a corporation and a banker sits and pays all or collects. Took a bit o get used to. You also have to pay a token or commission. Parking is limited but they do offer valet. There is a small cafe that offers decent food but is a bit pricey they do provide discounts though based on play. They used to have a Tuesday special which was worth it. Play a few hours and it would be comped. It was a steak and lobster meal. Vegas style without the drive or flight. If you've been to the Hustler Club or the Bicycle Casino, it's similar style but in a much smaller scale. The only think that I liked about this casino was the ease of getting to it as it was right off the freeway. Haven't been here in a while and don't really plan on visiting again. I was pretty disappointed when I walked in and saw that they had renovated the restaurant bar at the casino here in Oceanside. Very plain very square. I ordered the chicken Alfredo for 1495 and I almost died when I saw it. As soon as she said it down first, I noticed it was a child size portion. And then I could see the oil in the cheese and it smelt so bad like rotten dairy products, and the oil and grease it was horrific. It was obvious that it was a frozen dinner and microwave. I was there yesterday at around 8pm. I played the 1-2 NL with max buy in $60. This room was everything I would expect going to a local casino.... I knew I would play against regulars and some people playing "friendly" towards each other...(check all the way through.) It happens in every card room, it just happens to be that I'm the guest. The dealers are friendly, the place is outdated but I like it, the host is friendly and food service seems more organized than some casinos I've been to. I didn't order food but I did get a comp of one. They have a "play for two hours eat for free promotion" I think that's why the rake is so high lol..... I enjoyed myself. And played for about 3 hours, the players I played with were straight forward and the normal type you'd play with at any table. You can call in to be out on the board. Ocean's menu is always impressive in the sense that you can get a full meal for only a few dollars. They do a great job of keeping their patrons playing by luring them with inexpensive (but not cheap) fare. Most people don't believe me when I say that a pair of pork chops with sides is only $2.00, or a New York strip with sides is only $3, but it really is! After losing my shirt to a bad beat, I decided that it was time to rest a bit and grab a sandwich while I waited for my friend to finish up his game. By this time it was about 2am so I decided that it was time for breakfast and went with their croissant sandwich with sausage and a side of fresh fruit for $3.00. Though the service was a little slow, the buttery sandwich was piping hot and, along with the refreshing fruit medley of watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe, and honeydew, the meal really hit the spot. Though the experience cost me a lot more than the $3.00 price of the meal, I must say that Ocean's Eleven is definitely one of my favorite casinos to play at. The three card poker here is set up very poorly. You can't play just the pairs plus on its own like other places allow, you have to also play the ante game as well. On top of that they take 50 cents at the start of every hand for you to even play at all. Their excuse for bit these reasons was that "you get to see one of the dealers cards at the start of the betting round" but to me, I'd rather not see that card and play my money how I want it played. I have been beaten playing blackjack where the dealer gets 21, (I am not exaggerating when I say this ) five times in a row. I've had played in some poker games where it definitely seemed like there was players using collusion. When I confronted the dealer about it he simply just brushed it off. Today, I witnessed "Tony" The Armenian Poker Dealer was acting unprofessional and a bit racist in my opinion towards one of your customers that I found disgusting. Most of the Table Players were Armenian so as Tony the Ocean -11 Dealer, the behaviors that I found disgusting and unprofessional from Tony was are listed below : 1. "Tony "Ocean -11 Poker Dealer was Joining in with other Armenian customers to harassed a play for raising on a hand that potential he deemed as a potential "killing a JACKPOT. " For a Dealer to joined in with other Armenian Poker Players to harassed a player for making a Raised on a LIVE Poker Hand was unprofessional. Tony should know better and the House Poker Rules on harassing player for Raising or how to play his hand. 2. An Armenian player was folding OUT of Turn but Tony the Poker dealer refused to enforced the poker rule, but when other players who are of other RACE & Nationality fold or bet out of turn he would try to enforced the rules. Not sure why he would play Favoritism for One Particular RACE and not for other RACE & Ethnicity at the Table. 3. This should be very concerning for ALL poker players at OCEAN -11 that Tony the Armenian dealer is playing and showing Favoritism toward his "Own Kind" RACE while harassing other RACE and Ethnicity players. 5. I am a WHITE CAUCASIAN customer and am concern if I were to be in a situation where there was some conflict on a Big Live POT , with A LOT of money at stake can I rely on an Fair and impartial decision from an OCEAN -11 dealer to decide on the conflict without playing Favoritism because the other players involved are of the SAME RACE or " his OWN KIND" ?? This is my default place to eat when I want to eat out and can't decide where to go. Ocean's Eleven has a Sports Bar that serves great food. The menu has a variety of choices from Asian, Mexican and American dishes. My favorite is the Kobe beef ocean sliders with grilled onions and cheese. Everything on the menu are at reasonable prices. They have a full bar and happy hour twice a day everyday. The Sports Bar side has a nice and calm atmosphere on regular days. On days when UFC fights are playing it can be overwhelmingly crowded. No cover charge to watch the fights. They play all pro league sports channels. The place is very clean and the layout is well put together. The staff are courteous and professional. Great poker room. Have been popping up once in while there for the last two years. Great dealers, I have a lot of favorite can't really choose one. They are really friendly and enjoy the game as much as the players. Food is great. I am a vegetarian, so my option are limited but what they have is top notch. I made up my own meal from the side menu whenever I am playing, still end up being pretty cheap. The bathroom is the cleanness I have ever seen, kudo to the Char force workers. They are doing a great job keeping Ocean Eleven clean and great. The cocktails ladies are the friendliest I have seen. The Floor persons treat the customer great too as long as you are not rude to them or others. A lot of local comes here so , it is not uncommon to see people on a table playong like it was a family or corporate game. This place looked like a really big deal when we got orders out here to Camp Pendleton years and years ago. I was impressed that they had a casino in the middle of Oceanside, which seemed like nothing more than a mid-sized city nestled on the coast of North County San Diego. There is a big flashy light outside announcing that the establishment is a casino, and it is just down the street from the high school as well as all of the downtown activity. However, I soon found that you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Yes, there was a casino, but it's dingy and looks like a throwback from the 1970's. The drinks are overpriced, and the payouts are nonexistent. You'd be better off going down to the ocean and literally throwing your money into the waves. They do have a dance hall in the casino...if you want to call it that. This place looks like what you'd imagine Las Vegas looked like if it went somewhere to die, seriously. The music doesn't make you want to dance, and the ambiance is less than casual - it's trashy. The entire place is in dire need of renovation. It's literally located next to the post office, across the street from one of the worst neighborhoods in Oceanside. I was taken here by friends, and we spent precisely thirty minutes there getting hit on by sleazy men twice our age before we finally decided to get out of there and find a more suitable place to go dancing and drinking. I was extremely disappointed, and I didn't want to touch anything because the place is so old and everything is so dirty looking. To call this a "dance club" is like calling a canoe a yacht. It may be classified as a "dance club," but it's gross, the staff are about as unhappy and surly as they come, and between the decor, ambiance, music, and staff attire, it's reminiscent of one of those old B horror movies. If you feel like wasting your money or don't care how disgusting and dirty your recreational spots are, then I might recommend this place to you. But from my experience, this is one of the lowest caliber, dirty, overpriced (for what you're paying for) places in the entire city. Head down to Tremont street...Just a few blocks down the road toward the ocean. There's way more to do, it's full of clean establishments staffed by really awesome people, and you won't leave any of them feeling like you need to go home and take a shower to wash the layer of grime off of you. I like poker. Specifically, Texas Hold 'Em tournament poker. O11 holds two every weekday with a modest ($60) buy-in. The competition is solid and friendly with the usual exceptions. The tournament managers are professional and friendly. The building is nothing to write home about. It has a low ceiling and a single floor divided into the tournament room, the cash poker room and another room with games that don't interest me. There are televisions on most walls showing sports including horse racing. Food is actually decent and it has a wide range of choices on the menu. The bar is always occupied but never crowded. It ain't pretty but it suits my "needs". read more

If you want to have a few drinks and play poker this is an ok place to go to. It's quaint a lot of locals and tough players it's a challenge. But here is the problem. They have their local favorites, and give them allowances more than most. They can say stuff they should not be allowed to say. They will not punish them because it's there hang out. Whether you are 40 or 80 they shouldn't let you act out of turn constantly or talk smack. Also you can wait 20 minutes before a beverage. It becomes a timing issue to just be here for a couple hours or so. It's like they don't care cause they are going to get your money anyways so why have the dealer overhead coupled with the alcohol why not just have the dealer overhead minus the alcohol. Showed up at 9am for breakfast and 10am hold em tourney. Only friendly employee was the outside security guard, who explains restaurant does not open till 10am and breakfast gets served at poker table. I used to live with two professional poker players so I've been here on a few occasions. This last time, I didn't want to come but was talked into it. I played some poker and was up $50, but gambling makes me nervous so I cashed out and headed to the bar for a much-needed drink. There was a time when the bar was dark and weird, and on weekends occasionally featured a cheesy band that covered terrible music from the late eighties and early nineties. The music was comical or unbearable depending on how you want to look at it, and the bar also had a really outdated trivia machine for people who cannot be entertained only by alcohol. One time, on a random Friday night, I met my friends from Irvine here as a halfway point. We had drinks and played trivia games and thought, "WTF is this place?!" Those were the days. I came back recently, and found the cheesy bar has been significantly upgraded. It like has granite countertops and shit! And nice flat screen TV's. And the trivia machine has been replaced with off-track horse betting machines.
