Great tentative Wine server... I guess there's new owners now. Good quantity of seats and a diverse variety of wines to pick from. We tried the sheep goat spread, It was delicious.

I love coming here on Wednesday night for the flights with friends. I feel like the staff changes regularly because with the exception of one or two regular servers there are always new faces. They can't always answer my questions but they try. I miss the outside tables they had but I'm sure that is out of their control now that other businesses have opened and Covid isn't prevalent. On this particular visit I grabbed a bottle of bubbly from the front. Out of our group of four one showed up late and one took a bit a to decide. It took a while for someone to return to our table (we had two servers taking our orders) after the first flight was ordered. My bottle sat on the table for a bit before someone came to open for me. He did not offer to chill it for me and getting anyone's attention wasn't easy. Finally, when another server returned to take the rest of the orders he said would you like this chilled and brought a bottle chiller, probably 30 minutes after the bottle was originally opened. We ordered the goat cheese and bread for the table and it was really good. All the food I've had her has been good. I like the cheese plates too. I'm being generous with the fourth star because I come here regularly and haven't had issues with the service in the past, but I would give this visit 3 stars normally.

My husband and I finally visited La Costa Wine Co this past weekend. They have a rather large selection of wines, beers, kombuchas, and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. Upon entering, there is a refrigerator with a display of delicious cheeses! We opted for grabbing a table and ordered food from their nicely curated menu. We shared a cheeseboard with spicy Calabrese. The board came with Marcona almonds, dried fruit, olives, bread, crackers, stone ground mustard, corn nuts and we added additional marcona almonds with truffle and parmesan and a side of honeycomb. Let me tell you that we both devoured it all! It was delicious. We also ordered a flat bread that had Mozzarella, pesto, and sun-dried tomatoes. We really enjoyed the food here. For drinks, he had I believe was a wine from Rhone? I don't recall the actually name but it was really good. I opened for a glass of blanc di blanc sparkling wine and chardonnay. Overall, we enjoyed our experience.

My partner and I had a really pleasant experience visiting La Costa for a glass of wine. They had a large selection of wine for a small building and I loved the ambiance and kindness of the employees.

    Great place to multitask

Fun place to grab a casual glass of wine solo or with a small group. It's pretty small inside but makes for a cozy atmosphere. They do sell all kinds of wine but you can also buy wine by the glass. It's pretty expensive. $18/glass of red. They also offer light snacks, portions are very small. There is also a pretty good sized cheese selection for purchase. A great hidden gem for locals!

What hidden hidden gem! Great atmosphere, lovely staff, and tasty wine and snacks. Such a great spot, and you are almost never going to have to wait for a table at this fun tasting room. This is one of my favorite spots that I'm always trying to take new friends to! They have such a large selection of wines to pick from, and all the staff are so knowledgeable to help you make sure you like the one you purchase. All the staff are willing to go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied with your wine! Great place for wine-o's!

Such a nice place to relax and have some wine. I have been here before and loved it! The service is great and very attentive. Come by and check it out. They have a wide selection of wines from all over.

La Costa Wine Co is great. I visited with friends and enjoyed a delicious chartcuterie board and a few glasses of wine. The wine bar had any wines to select and a helpful staff to guide you through the choices.

Hi is there a intimate corner for a group Of about 6-8 people?

Yes, they do. Only one table. So i would call them and reserve. It’s first come, first serve. But they do take reservations.

And our server was fantastic. So why, you might ask, only 4 stars in my review. Two reasons: 1). Management has prohibited giving a splash of a beer for someone to sample. Bottom line is that I wanted to order a pint of beer, but I wanted a splash of a couple of beers to try to make my decision. They refused, saying that one must buy a 5oz taster if one wants to taste the beer. I find that policy offensive. In the end I bought a taster to taste the Chuuurch, and then bought an additional pint after. It just seems nickel and dimey, and would be asking to an ice cream place not allowing one to sample their ice creams before buying a cone. I hope management reconsiders this policy. 2. My wife got the Hot Mess Fries and was disappointed not only in the flavor, but also in the misleading advertising. On the menu it specifically said that there was bacon in the fries, but in fact what they put on the fries was either chunks of ham or "Canadian bacon" (which as we all know is a very different thing from "bacon"). If they were or of regular bacon, the kitchen should have told the server this so he could have asked her if she wanted ham as a substitute. And, of they always use ham instead of bacon, them the menu needs to be changed to reflect that.

We tried different marinades and various fish, but my hands-down favorites were the lobster tacos (lemon butter) and the red snapper (fish shop) tacos. We also ordered large sides. "Best grilled cheese besides the ones we make at home." Only downside on the food was the clam chowder. Good flavor but hardly any clams (if any). I wouldn't get that again, but everything else was phenomenal. I almost rated this down to a 4 because of this (and a small order mishap), but honestly, this place is worth a solid 5 based on the overall food, vibes, and staff. This place's vibes are super chill. You can either sit inside or out. Very clean all around! Well-maintained restrooms and tables too. Solid drink options - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic as well! There's parallel street parking throughout the area, so you might get lucky and find a spot nearby. I ended up parking on one of the side streets, which worked out perfectly. I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy. We had to wait a little while for a table because several tables still needed to be cleaned before they could seat new guests. The staff was incredibly friendly, though, and we were seated as soon as they could. It did take about 15 minutes before a server was able to come over and take our order, but the restaurant was completely packed, so it's something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. After spending the day at the beach, we were really just in the mood for drinks. I ordered the Blood Orange Margarita, which can be served with Tajín, sea salt, or no rim at all. It was really good and definitely on the stronger side, which I appreciated. My only complaint was that there was a bit too much ice, but the flavor itself was great. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, large open windows that let in plenty of fresh air, and a fun, lively vibe that makes it a great place to relax after a beach day. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the ambiance and cocktails, just be prepared for a little wait if you visit during peak hours.

They were clearly short staffed on Father's Day, so I allowed for that. However, when you're sitting there forever and 3 wait staff are going by you several times and can't even say "someone will be with you shortly ".....not a word. Funny thing is the patios were fairly empty. We would have left, but again we've loved the food here for 14 years so hung in there. Then big mistake was sitting across from the pizza oven! The hostess, who I have to say is an amazing employee, she was literally doing everything. Seating people, cleaning tables, answering the phone, cleaning the stuff off the pizza area, bringing clean pans, getting drinks, etc. BUT she was using those nasty old rags to clean the table, touching the cash register etc., never washed her hands and then she was grabbing handfuls of the fresh basil and ripping pieces and putting them on the pizza, then posting the pizza with her fingers to maybe check it wasn't burned on the bottom? I was literally dying watching this, I'm not even a germaphobe. Then I watched the other waiter who wears dirty baggy jeans wipe his hands in his pants and also manhandle the basil in the same way. So gross. I saw another party get mad because the pizza was not cut, they asked for it to be cut again....and then got angry because they still had to tear at it and everything fell off. When our pizza came....it was the same, but we dealt with it. We ALWAYS get the Butterscotch pudding, but at this point we just wanted out. Had to wait forever to ask for a box and check. I'll miss the old Blue Ribbon as I miss Craftsman sadly, but there are others with actual service, we gave them a chance the last time it was bad, but this is the 2nd and done!
