Great wine, delicious charcuterie and friendly service. They have some unique wines you wouldn't find elsewhere. I just went with what was recommended and liked everything I had. They had a rouge that was peppery and was amazing. Loved their chilled reds. The inside is very small with a couple tables, but you can sit out back in the communal space too.

What a gem this place is. From the hand selected unique varietals and international blends.... To the carefully curated crudite and tapas... to the non pretentious welcoming atmosphere and affordable prices.... You just can't go wrong with Bueno. Brian is an awesome host and definitely knows how to make a memorable experience. The service is spot on! Come support your local O-side shops! This one is great!

Cutest little wine bar. Grab a taco from shoots and head over for a glass and cute little local shopping goods.

Little Victory is tucked into a small lot just around the corner from State Street and a lively…read morepart of Carlsbad Village. Parking can be an issue. I ended up about three blocks away in a residential area on a busy Saturday night. The cozy atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The staff does a good job weaving among the six tables in the dining room and six on the patio. Conversations are tougher inside. This is a natural wine bar, so some classiciists might not like the styles. Little Victory has a jammed, two-sided wine list (red and white) in incredibly small type. Natural wines often look and taste distinct from conventional bottles. They are frequently unfiltered and unfined, leaving them slightly cloudy with sediment. Expect vibrant acidity and complex flavor profiles that lean toward the earthy, savory. Bottle variation is common. Off-flavors and aromes include mousiness, excess volatile acidity (vinegar notes), or Brettanomyces (wet cardboard). Our waitress was patient and let us taste five whites, which were too funky for most of us (not fruit-driven noses and palates like most California wines). I settled on the Austrian 2024 Wurzinger Grüner Veltliner Früg, $17 BTG. It was cloudy, with some lime, floral, and yeasty nose; tight acids; and a tart finish. We did enjoy a fruity, balanced 2021 Viticultor Goyo Garcia Viadero Joven de Viejas Viñas, Ribera del Duero ($72 bottle; $25 at retail); and a good Temecula red blend, 2023 Lost Ranch Winery Moonshadow (53% Nero d'Avola; 47% Syrah; $17 by the glass). For appetizers, the four of us shared the olives ($8), bread and butter plate ($9), cheese platter ($18), and beef tartare ($25). Other things we shared were the local catch, $33; roasted octopus, $31; and the peach and fennel salad, $22. The octopus drew the most raves. The catch was a bit dry. Service was friendly, very helpful and responsive to our questions about the wines and the different dishes on the menu. The food runners were timely in bringing out our different dishes. Little Victory should do well in this bustling foodie town.

Plenty of street parking! We were seated right away at the bar stools. Lovely shop, very quaint and feels like you're just visiting a friends shop. We ordered the mussels, crudo and risotto. We were torn over what wine to get but they let us sample a couple! Super great service. Mussels were definitely the stand out dish, but everything was fresh! 3 plates was good for 2 people. We also got their cheesecake and it was SOOOO GOOD! Not too sweet, perfectly baked. It is a pricey restaurant but worth a special occasion.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the host (I forgot his name, but it starts with a V?). Super friendly and helped all of us feel at home; Would occasionally check-in to make sure our needs were taken care of too. Sometimes you walk into bars and deal with judgy/pretentious people or service workers and we didn't get that impression at all from any of the staff here. My girlies and I ended up sitting in the outside area, which honestly was a great choice due to the humid weather AND we got a great view of the beach sunset. It's a bit stuffy (when it's hot), but still nice inside the establishment. We also ordered some drinks and tiramisu to make the most of our time there. Overall, Sound By The Sea is a great spot to catch-up and unwind during one of those longer summer nights (cue the Summer Nights song by Lil Rob lol). I hope you also enjoy the same fun experience my friends and I shared yesterday. Thank you. :-)

This was my second time here, and I love everything about this place. First of all, kudos to the bartender--I forgot her name, but she was incredibly generous and kind. She accidentally forgot my drink and kept apologizing, but I told her it was totally fine since we had a large party. To make up for it, she gave me two shots instead of one and even added a big discount. The ambiance of this place is unique and very artsy. If you're looking for a cool, one-of-a-kind spot to hang out, this is it. There's so much attention to detail throughout--even the restroom door is thoughtfully designed with a modern, creative touch. My friend ordered a variety of cocktails, and everyone enjoyed them. The food was great as well. I ordered the hummus plate, and it was the best I've ever had--so fresh and served in a generous portion. My friends tried the pizza and a few other items from the menu, and everything got a thumbs up. If you're in the area looking for a cool place to hang out or planning a party, this is the spot. I'll definitely be back again soon.

Bottlecraft has several locations, but we have both agreed that the Oceanside location is our favorite. Bottlecraft is a bottle shop and tasting room - This means that you can taste a variety of beers, which taps continuously rotating - then pick up cans of your faves.. or try brand new cans to bring home. We love to grab a spot at the bar {typically to watch whatever sporting event is on TV}, or on the back outdoor patio space if we come with a group. When seated at the bar area, you can also chat with the amazing beertenders and ask for their recommendations if you're unsure what to try {I will always recommend a good Hazy or Double IPA}. The team here is always on point - Providing fantastic service as well as friendly conversation while you enjoy your brews! Not a beer drinker?! Hard Kombucha, Cider, Wine and Non-Alcoholic options are available - There is something for everyone! While enjoying your brews, if hunger hits, visit Shootz Fish & Beer - This is a stellar food spot tucked in the corner as you enter the shop. Do not skip out on the Potato Taco! It's the perfect pairing with a good beer - You will thank me later for introducing this combo into your life! ;-) Along with phenomenal beer, Bottlecraft is pet friendly and just a hop skip and jump to the beach - What's not to love here?! Calling all beer peeps - Are you on Untapped?? If so, let me know.. I'd love to connect and see what brews you are currently loving.. or not.

It's the kind of drink that keeps me coming back, especially paired with one of their delicious pizzas. The pizzas are on the smaller side--definitely shareable--but let's be honest...you may not want to. Hangar 76 has become one of my favorite places in Oceanside. Fittingly, it's housed in what used to be an airplane hangar, giving it a unique character that you won't find anywhere else. The indoor and outdoor spaces are both beautifully designed, and they've done an incredible job transforming the patio with cozy seating, including large couches that make it easy to relax and stay awhile. It's also dog-friendly, which is always a huge plus. One of my favorite things is how easy it is for groups. Everyone orders right from their phone and pays for their own meal, so there's never any awkward check-splitting at the end. They're always hosting fun events too, from line dancing and comedy nights to karaoke, so there's usually something happening. Since it's a little farther inland, parking is generally much easier than along the coast, and the prices are very reasonable. Beautiful space, great atmosphere, fun events, delicious food and wine, and easy parking--Hangar 76 is absolutely worth a visit and is one of Oceanside's hidden gems. Five stars!

My husband found this place and was interested because of the live music and it being a jazz place. We ubered there which seemed smart because it's street parking and seemed quite limited. There's a $5 cover on Fridays and Saturdays (I think they have live music both days) and we did not have a reservation. I think if you have a reservation you can get a table in their back area. We were up front with the band. It's a pretty small place, maybe about 5 or 6 high top tables in the front, the bar toward the back, and that back room which we didn't look in. We cozied up until someone left a high top and then hung out there. We ordered some drinks that were specials for the night and some that were regularly on the menu. We had a great time! Drinks were good, I think also reasonably priced. Music went from 7pm to 10pm and we got there around 7:30 and it was good and busy! This definitely feels like a family joint, their mascot is their little chihuahua Wishbone and I love that so much. Owners were fun, kept things going while the band was on break, just overall a really good time. I'm not much of a drinker so I can't speak to the types of liquor, but I definitely was feeling my drinks and couldn't finish my 3rd. If we lived here I think this would become a regular spot for us. What a fun time!
