Such a fun, unique spot! It's a brewery and wine bar with amazing wood-fired pizza, a gorgeous new turf area, and live local entertainment. There are fire pits and charming seating areas outside, plus a comfy indoor bar with couches and TVs. Tipping Pint is one of my favorite breweries. It's a microbrewery and they don't have a giant selection of beers, but they do everything well. It's hard to say what my favorite is because there are so many great beers to choose from. They also are constantly rotating out beers to keep the menu fresh. The bartenders are all fantastic and provide excellent service. There's lots of seating and outdoor space is really nice during the evening. The pizza is also really good. Decided to give this place a try due to location being on the way to the freeway and the reviews that said family friendly. There were many families there, the vibe was very relaxed. I noticed how clean it was inside. We didn't order pizza but I thought the pizza outside was cool! If we had more time, I would've tried it. The lady at the beer counter was very nice. I gave them a 4 star instead of 5 because they didn't have a West Coast IPA on tap. My husband had what they called an American IPA, I wasn't a fan but for a small brewery, it was a good experience. read more

I really like the layout of this place. There is a brewery, a winery (Carruth Cellars), an outdoor space and food options plus live music on weekends. Really nice, large space and easy to enjoy with friends or without. The brewer, Adam, is knowledgeable and makes sure to help match up the right beer for your palate. We tasted one of everything and we really enjoyed them. The IPA's and IIPA's were really on point, and I was very happy to see stouts on the menu as well. Honestly, I enjoyed their other styles as well including lagers, ales, a Helles and a pilsner. They are open daily and if you're in the Oceanside area and want good beer served by good people, this is the newer brewery to check out! read more

This is a pretty cool spot! Somehow, I reviewed the winery but not the brewery, despite trying both since they are at one location. I was happy to see that it was okay to bring our kids and socialize with friends. I enjoyed their lighter beers as I'm no longer an IPA type a girl. It's amazing how your palate changes over the years. The bar tenders were really kind and had no issues with getting beer and recommendations. I'm in that season of life where almost everything I do has to be at least semi toddler-friendly, and Tipping Pint hits the mark! Not only do they have great beer (and wine within the same space if you so choose), but there's ample outdoor seating, fire pits, a stage for music, a rotating food vendor schedule and best of all, outdoor games for the kiddos! My toddler LOVES that she can run free within the (safely fenced-in!!!) outdoor space, playing corn hole and giant connect-four, while I get to relax nearby, keep an eye out and enjoy a pint with friends. Tipping Pint also hosts various fun events - trivia, dance classes, family karaoke nights and macrame crafting just to name a few. I like to keep a running list of family-friendly spaces in North County and Tipping Pint is always one of the first ones I recommend. P.S. Please don't let my review paint Tipping Pint as a playground for kids and deter all the grownups - I promise there are always LOTS more adults than children! A cool little brewery off the 76. The brewery is located in Hangar 76 which is multi-use space that includes Tipping Pint Brewing, a winery, an outdoor space, and food truck options. We came in on a lazy Saturday afternoon and ordered the Damnit Donny beer. It was good! We sat outside and enjoyed the warm afternoon. They had a taco guy making food which looked good and a band was setting up their gear for some live music later in the evening. It was a chill and relaxing vibe. We didn't try the winery because we're not wine people, but it's good that there are options if you're with a group that does not enjoy beer. We'll be coming back especially since we live so close! read more

We came here for the first time with friends a couple of weekends ago and really enjoyed ourselves. The beer was good, though we did not try the wine. (On a side note, I have had Carruth Cellars wines at their Solana Beach location). This place has a great layout, with plenty of seating inside and out. There is a nice open space with lots of tables/chairs outside, with outdoor games like corn hole and connect 4 to keep everyone entertained. When we came, there was a live band playing some fun music. This place is family friendly. As described, the outdoor space is great for kids. They also have a nice changing table/area in the women's restroom. If I lived closer I would probably be here all time, but regardless, I look forward to another visit here soon. read more

I came on their grand opening weekend and the place was jammed packed!!!!!!! It's cool that you can get some wine there too. I just came for the beer and it was actually pretty good. Great new local spot housing a brewery and winery tasting area. They really did a great job with the space here where there is alot more space on their patio and inside tasting area than it appears when you pull up. For Tipping Pint though, great base selection of beers that I see is quickly growing as they get maximum use of their brewing system. The IPAs where of course on point with a very tasty hazy, but I enjoyed their Mexican style lager alot and would go back just for that. Stopped in last Sunday and had a an absolute blast - this place is amazing! An awesome concept at play, similar to a food court, but for beer (The Tipping Pint) and wine (Carruth Cellars). It appears as there's additional space, so who knows what the future holds for potential additions. Parking is abundant on Roymar, so no need to worry about finding a spot. The atmosphere inside is what we've all come to expect of brewery spaces - warehouse vibes, some nice wooden furniture, a couch to one side, and spacious. There is a large outside patio filled with sprawling tables, chairs, and benches. There is a large stage centered on the patio, with a nice local acoustic act on display the day we came - lucky us! Towards the back you'll find more surprises, a huge connect four set, cornhole boards, and a bid pizza oven. Rumor has it the owner of The Tipping Pint will occasionally crank up the heat and fire up the pizza oven for some nosh to accompany the great libations. The beer is fantastic - I have followed Adam's brewing journey from his home brew days, to Pizza Port, and now here, and the only change is improvement on what was always high quality beer made with only the finest ingredients. My fiance enjoyed Carruth's selections as well. We met some friends here who have been members of Carruth for many years, and are now members of The Tipping Pint - I almost forgot to mention, The Tipping Pint has a membership available similar to most wineries! Needless to say, we're members now too, and can't wait to come back! read more

It's hard to beat a weekend afternoon enjoying a beer or glass of wine and listening to live music! And what better way to discover a place to do so by driving around the area, looking for a brewery that isn't closed on a Sunday, and stumbling upon it! We were in luck to experience the grand opening weekend of Tipping Point and Hangar 76, a shared brewery/winery space right off the 76 near the airport. And completely by happy accident! The expansive patio with varied seating and shade, plus some tables inside, and of course live music, plus a taco stand (!!) made for an awesome first impression. It's small operation, so 5 beers (IPAs, a Mexican lager, and a honey ale) makes for easy decision making - which I appreciate! Both the Mexican lager and honey ale were delicious. We also tried a red wine flight (plus a rose) from Hangar 76, which was delectable! I was glad to see such a big turnout for the grand opening - I'd love to come back and grab a seat outside! read more

This new brewery is with a visit. It's dog friendly has a large back patio sometimes with live music and sometimes food trucks. They share the space with a winery and soon will have a kitchen with more food options. The beer is pretty good. I think the main brewer cut his teeth at one of the pizza ports. The menu was limited to 5 drafts in April 2022 but they promised that a couple of stouts are on the way. I will return when food and more beer choices to update my review. This place is always fun and I'm SO ecstatic it's so close to my house! The space is indoor/outdoor and is HUGE! It's a LOT nicer than the other tasting rooms around and very spacious. There's usually a fire going at night. There's great ambience and plenty of street parking. On weekends you can normally find a great food truck or two and live music. The beers are all great and you can get a flight to figure out what you want a full pour of. I happen to love the Si Level (Mexican lager) and Thanks Honey (blonde ale). My husband loves the Crow-conut Almond Joy (stout) and Sleeping Dogs Lie (IPA). Carruth Cellar shares the space here and the wines are great. I recommend their wine flights to figure out what you want because the wine can be a little bit on the pricier side if you're not a Carruth Cellar Wine Club member. I am a HUGE fan of their GSM red wine. Great vibe. Super local and away from traffic for a large part of Oside residents. read more

I've been a fan of Carruth Cellars for a while so as a craft beer fan, I was excited to try out these beers. They have 7 or 8 simple yet classic styles. I was able to try their Mexican lager, pilsner, and both IPAs. All 4 were really good. Clean and polished versions of each style. The venue and vibe were great, with fantastic live music and Copper Kings burgers. Highly recommend. read more

This place is awesome. First off the owners are incredibly accommodating and the outside patio is very family friendly. They have both wine and local brews on site. The owner also cooks. The night we went they have wood fired pizza and it was phenomenal. For a brand new joint this place is still doing work but has tons of promise. They have live music and are pet friendly as well. I highly recommend their Hazy IPA or the Honey Ale. Both were fantastic. We will be frequent customers here in the future and look forward to their growth in the coming months and years. read more

This is a "must try" brewery in Oside. High quality beer and wine, both made here. From the front of building it doesn't look like much. But as soon as you enter it's impressive what they have created (Same gos for the beer and wine). Interior & patio very open and accommodating. Beers we had were better than many brewery's in the area. Especially when you concider how new they are. The open air patio is equally impressive. Simple, large and well laid out for multiple small groups. Can watch the parachuters coming down at the airport across the street from the patio location. We will be back with our friends. We honestly love this brewery! The staff is so awesome, the beer is always good, they have pizza that's . The surrounding area is a bit off-putting but the brewery property could easily make up for it. Unfortunately, a huge downside is the actual environment! We're all for a family friendly environment, but it's become almost unbearable how families let kids run free outside and kinda ruin the outdoor vibe. We'd come here way more if it wasn't a daycare feeling playground after 5pm. They did put up some notices recognizing this issue, but it doesn't seem like they do anything about it. ‍ would be a perfect 5 stars for us otherwise, but for now will default to some other spots in the evening. read more

I stopped by to check this place out and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised! Many small breweries struggle to make truly delicious beer, but not this one. I tried 3 different small servings (smart of them to make this an option) and they were all really good. The pils was out of this world and I'm not normally a fan of that style.
