Best Pizza & Brew? That's a bold claim but I will say- this place is great. First off, the staff have all been super pleasant, patient and sharp. They know what they're doing and they create a really welcoming vibe. The ambiance is great. The place is energetic yet chill. They have a great beer selection and you're able to taste. They also have a bar you can order from rather than having to wait in the pizza line. The pizzas are very yummy. Thin, crispy crust on my pizzas. Not heavy or greasy. Really high quality pizza and easy to eat. Every slice that I've had has been super consistent and that's extremely important to me. Tried the Detroit style and it was light and airy. Excellent pizzas and margaritas! We tried the buffalo chicken, veggie, and cheese pizzas. All three were great at the restaurant, and also as leftovers after! The parking is tight, but there is parking on nearby curbs. The only miss here is the 9:00 PM closing time on week nights, especially on summer nights with tourists in town! Another dinner at Best Pizza because I wanted a spot to watch the Padres win (yes, at least this one game vs. Dodgers). I love their pesto goat cheese pizza ans must remember that maybe getting two slices with my beer would be a good idea. I also LOVE their house salad. No one else does a House Salad better than Best Pizza. My partner ordered their buffalo wings, and although he finished them, he said they were on the salty side. There was a bit confusion tonight on whether our red tag meant we had a tab open. My partner asked the cashier to leave the tab open so he could order another pint and buffalo wings, but the gal who came by explained to us that we had a red number (instead of black). She wasn't rude, but she also wasn't upfront about just asking what his name was to check if the tab was indeed open or not. I really wanted to like this place but the pizza was rewarmed and it was way too hard to eat. It didn't taste fresh at all. The flavors were there just it wasn't fresh. The garlic knots were made fresh and they were very good. I wish they would make to order all the food or something. Service was really nice, it's near the beach so u can bring it also to enjoy there. They do sell by the slice, the pesto and white pizza was flavorful just too hard. The place is clean. read more

I'll start out my review by saying- this it's called 'Best Pizza' for a reason, and it definitely lives up to the hype. The environment inside the restaurant, always feels chill and laid-back, even when it's on the busier side. I like the selection of seating area as they have you can sit inside in a booth inside, on a stool inside, by the fire pit or along a picnic bench they have many options and more than enough seating. But I do mean it when I say this is the 'Best Pizza' I've had! We usually get the meat lovers pizza and it never fails to disappoint. Don't have much else to say about this place. Had lunch here today. Ordered the Wagyu bacon cheeseburger and two 12" pizzas. The meatball parm and burrata and hot honey. These are my two favorites from BP&B. The service is always great and this location is always busy. Nice seating inside and also some seating outside as well. Good chill spot to grab lunch! Great pizza at a relaxing location. I showed up here with a group of friends and it was very easy to find seating for us all. We ordered our food and it was all brought in good time, we got pizza, sandwiches, wings and a salad. Everyone loved what they got and I was really surprised with how good everything tasted. I had no idea what to expect but it was a good surprise. The staff were super friendly and my group ended up hanging out there till night time and the staff turned on the space heaters! That was super nice and kind and it just showed that they were attentive of their customers since the seating we had chosen was a bit to the side. Grab some pizza and wings from here one day I didn't try the pizza but the wings were actually really good. I would definitely come back for those. We got to hang out with some friends who wanted to come here who live out that way since I don't live out here, they said this is gonna go to spot for some pizza, beer and wings. It was kind of late. Time for another review update! This place keeps moving up higher and higher on my list for top local pizza spots! The name is super fitting; Best Pizza and Brew! I am now using them to cater meetings at work and the staff love the pizza and salads! They no longer have the Mac and cheese I used to love but I'm hooked on the garlic knots! Best Pizza and Brew always has amazing happy hours specials including $2 slices and great beer specials! This is my first gf pizza in SD! I am gluten free and can't really have too much dairy either so it is wonderful that this place has not only gf crust but vegan cheese! I got the buffalo chicken- and it was literally the best pizza. The gluten free crust wasn't anything special- it's exactly what you think of when you hear gf crust- thin, and burned on the edges. I came back and tried their thicker, Detroit-style crust pizza with burrata and sausage (no hot honey) and thought it was delicious. I would get that every time, it's just the right amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings on top of a thick, but not dense and super crispy crust with just the right amount of grease. Sometimes we will have dinner at another spot in South O but then go to Best Pizza for the cookies! They sometimes sell out FYI. The name of this place nails how the food here tastes. It was our last night in town and honestly I didn't feel like cooking so we decided to give the pizza here a try and I'm so glad we did. Not only does this place cater to your four legged friends but they have some of the best pizza in the planet. The sauce alone takes on a zesty flavor of it's own. It's a little spicy but at the same time not overly spicy toppings ratio was perfect and nicely cooked in a wood oven. The best way to describe the house salad was very similar to a Waldorf salad. Leafy greens. Julianne slices of apple, blue cheese, raisins and hopefully not peacans because I'm highly allergic but we did pick out the nuts since we weren't sure what nut we were dealing with. Our server was really nice and we sat outside since we had our two dogs with us. They do have a menu for dog meals for your dog to eat and tons of iced cold beers on draft to drink. This place is definitely with more than just a 5 star review it deserves a perfect 10 and I honestly don't ever find myself saying that about any of the businesses that I review but I can about this place. Honestly if I still lived in Southern California this would be my go to pizza place it would definitely be worth the 2 hour drive from L.A. so everyone you have to get down to Oceanside to try this place is promise you won't be sorry. We tend to "dine in" at this location. At least once a month or so. It usually gets pretty busy. It's an open floor concept here. They've a side patio and picnic tables/benches that are away from the building for alternative seating areas. So you've got lots of options. We like the sausage with hot honey pizza. To drink I'll get something like the sexy pineapple. They've got good pours here. On occasion we get the order to go but it's always nice to sit and have it right after it's been freshly made. I appreciate their house salad from time to time. We've been to the Esco and Vista location as well. Pizza & Service is the BEST :-) We especially enjoy coming here more~so when we hang with some friends of ours or even when we get introduced to new friends. A wonderful locals hot spot. Last night my wife and I went down there to have a chicken salad and a pizza. They were very busy but everyone there was so pleasant and took time to listen to us and accommodated every request that I had. The chicken salad was about $20 and it was off the charts good the best flavor and most tender chicken that I have ever had. The chicken was nice and warm too. The pizza was very good although I think next time I think I'll get mine just a little bit more well done. The attention that we got at our table waitstaff after White staff after waitstaff was absolutely fantastic. They made us feel like we were the only customers there. A special thanks to Trent the manager who was so nice to me and especially to my wife. He was very caring and appreciated our elderly status very much as well as our business. We will return soon.
