Such a rad pizza spot. Great quality meats and house made sourdough crust!! Everything we ordered was delicious. Really a fan of their crust and quality of all of their ingredients. You can order pizza by the slice or a whole pie. They have a good selection of pizzas so there's bound to be something for everyone. Interior seating is limited it there's ample seating outside with heaters above. There is also a bar seating inside. Since we were dining in, the server took our order at our table. She was sweet, friendly, and patient while we tried to figure out what to order. The raddest part of our visit was that Mike McGill was there and brought out the pizza condiments like no big deal. Gave Johnny Radz a try today and liked it! The space has a nice open feel with bar seating and plenty of patio space. We had a half cheese and pepperoni pizza and a gluten free margarita. I also had a blackberry seltzer. They have some sandwiches additionally on the menu. My husband is from NY so he is picky about pizza and he really liked the style! My son said the pepperoni was not too spicy. The gluten-free Margherita was just OK. I prefer a Margherita with tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella and this is one just had some olive oil. Biggie Approved! Local Powell & Peralta skateboard legend Mike McGill has a stake in this super cool dog friendly pizza joint! We've been to Johnny Radz 3 times so far! Pizza is amazing with plenty of toppings to choose from! The crust is light and crispy! Our favorite pizzas are the Meaty pizza with fresh sliced jalapeños on half and the Sausage and Peppers pizza. Johnny Radz has a decent beer selection on draft and also offer a couple wine options. There are plenty of TV's both inside and outside the restaurant! I really wanted to like Johnny Radz, it's new, and I always try to give local spots a chance. Unfortunately, when I stopped by, I noticed several (about 5 or 6) flies inside the glass pizza display, the same one that holds the slices being served. That made it impossible for me to order any pizza, which was disappointing since that's what I came for. We mentioned the flies to the person serving us, and they just shooed them away and went on to serve the next guest. That honestly made me more uneasy since the food in the case was still being served. We decided to split a sub and a Caesar salad instead. The sandwich was okay, nothing special, and the salad didn't have any Parmesan cheese, which made it feel incomplete. I honestly wasn't going to write a review, but the sight of flies around food that's being served to customers really stuck with me. I know they just opened, and I hope this is something they address right away, maybe by enclosing the pizza display like other places do. read more

Went yesterday afternoon. Was greeted by a young man ( tall bark hair )behind the bar . This was the best part...of our visit. And unfortunately for us, his shift must of ended. Have been worked in hospitality for Hyatt and Sheridan for over 15 years. I know the difference between really good customer service and beyond bad customer service. The pizza was OK, but the Customer Service was one star, once a young man left who poured us our beers. No one came to the front of the bar no I mean no one we had to go around to the side to get menus to order pizza and that took forever . It's not an establishment that all ever go back to. You can have good food you can have good beer or just drinks. You can have a nice ambience which it does have inside and out. Lovely outdoor seating area (we had our dogs), and great decor inside. Salad was delicious, dark greens and delicious add ins and dressing. Legendary pro skateboarder Mike McGill owns and operates this place. He is often seen there working hard in the kitchen or mingling with guests. During a lunch visit recently, he was sharing with us how insanely particular he is about the quality of his ingredients. His mission is to offer as healthy and enjoyable food as possible. I got my usual pepperoni pizza - REALLY GOOD! Took some home and my son killed the rest. For a classic So Cal experience, I say everyone should try out Jonny Rad'z.
