Never been in Stone before because I don't drink beer. Travis served me, he was great. Pleasant and a great smile. I wasn't aware that they sold specialty cocktails. A friend invited me so we met up. There's a descent size pl right in front of the establishment, and plenty of street parking. It wasn't busy considering it was raining on and off all day. I had a pineapple habenero margarita. It was good. Wish they would have put a pineapple as the garnish instead of a slice of lime. I thought it would be a little more spicy also with the habenero, but it was very mellow. They had a cool firepit table. Plenty of seating for it to be on the smaller side. They also have an area where you can purchase Stone merchandise. They have 2 bathrooms. They have a TV. My husband and I came here for the first time not too long ago & had a great time! They had a wide selection of beer, along with other drinks, but we ended up getting a flight because we couldn't decide on just one! The staff was awesome, super friendly and helpful! I wasn't sure which beers to try, so I just asked them to pick their favorites for me to try. The place is so aesthetically pleasing! Definitely many photo ops! It's so pretty outside with all the string lights hung up & plenty of seating areas! They even had little bonfire pits going on. It made for such a fun date night! When you order your drinks, they have a little shopping area with some cool attire and other Knick knacks to look at as well. Parking was easy. They have a lot as well as plenty of street parking all around. We had a great time and will definitely be back! read more

Stone is our favorite brewery! We were pleasantly surprised that we hadn't found this taproom sooner! We always end up going to their Liberty Station location because we also love their food. Having a taproom closer to home is a wonderful happenstance! It would be really nice to have their signature food served here also, but we'll take what we get. We got the Stone Buenaveza Salt & Lime Lager and their Hot Spiked Cider. The Salt & Lime is my husband's go-to so we can attest that we love this beer. I'm not a fan of beer in general, but I do like this one, which says a lot! The spiked cider was excellent and surprisingly boozy! It was a nice warm drink to have after a 5-ish mile walk on the windy beach :) now that we know this taproom exists, we will be back here more often in the future! read more

A real nice oasis in the concrete jungle. A friend and I came here for some beers. I only intended to have one, but the atmosphere by the firepit surrounded by trees was so nice that we ended up getting a second round. As for the drinks, it is hard to go wrong with a Stone Delicious. For my second round I tried one of their ,micheladas, which I ordered "extra spicy": it was one of the better micheladas that I've had over the past decade. The bartenders were friendly as well. My only nit is that they don't offer any food. If you're looking for a very chill place to hangout, and you like Stone beers, this is the place for you. Obviously, it can't compare to their World Garden locations in Escondido and Liberty Station as far as drink selection and food selection, but it is certainly a great place to hang out in Oceanside. And, if you want a really intimate location, this place has their World Gardens beat in that respect. read more

Big fan of Stone since the late 90s. This was a grail and was fun to drink at. I had a 2014 Old Guardian and bought Crowlers of Hop Squander (Liberty Station Small Batch) and Delicious Double IPA on the barman's recommendation. Stone has changed a lot since their sale to Sapporo, but I'm glad to report this tasting was a fair facsimile of the OG vibe and culture. Good selection of approx 30 beers on tap, which is nice. Bar doubles as a gift shop and outdoor seating is reminiscent of Stone World Gardens (on a smaller scale). Cheers! read more

We each got a drink after tasting a few options thanks to the beer tender who helped us chose the right options for each of us. we were all happy with our selections. The location itself is nice. The outdoor area especially is a really nice setting and probably the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the customer service completely missed the mark. My wife and I ordered the only seltzer available. When we tried it, something immediately seemed off. It tasted flat and almost flavorless. I went back to the bar to politely let the bartender know, and his response was, "If you let it sit that long it goes flat." What was most disappointing wasn't just the comment, it was that he didn't offer to replace the drink or provide any kind of refund. Nothing. We ended up leaving both FULL drinks at the bar and left after spending our money. It's unfortunate because the space itself is really nice. A simple replacement or even a more thoughtful response would have completely changed the experience. read more

My favorite microbrew. I had an Arrogant Bastard that was "Chef's Kiss!" We ended up going here a couple of times while vacationing in Oceanside. If you like microbrews, you need to make this your first stop. It is a bit "rustic" and maybe not a swank microbrewery you might be used to, but it feels very "cozy" and the people who work there are super friendly. They don't serve food, which is kind of a bummer, but you can bring food in and there are a lot of places close by to pick up some local grub. We took the kids to Oceanside last weekend and visited the Stone Brewing Tap Room for a little beer before dinner. We'd spent most of our Saturday riding the train and playing at the pier, so this stop was a treat for Mom and Dad. It was probably optimistic to show up with two boys under five and expect them to sit quietly while we drank, but they more or less did just that. We got some serious help from peaceful, family-friendly tap room environment. The patio was relaxing, especially around the big fire pit, where we took our seats. There were plants and string lights and a general sense of calm. Live music started at 6:00, just when it got dark and the boys were growing restless. The musician was named Trey Hill. He was great and our sons loved his act. Our two-year-old clapped at the end of each song. Meanwhile, we enjoyed a couple rounds of beer. There were about 30 of them on tap, as well as several brewed cocktails. The bar was inside, in a little storefront area that also sold branded merchandise and beer to go. Service was fast and friendly. We shared 10 oz. pours of the Cavern Quest Session IPA, the Hazy IPA, the Delicious Citrus IPA, and the Lifeblood, which was a brown ale. We also got 5 oz. tasters of the Imperial Stout and the Notorious POG, a special release Berliner Weisse brewed with passion fruit, orange, and guava. That last one was a freebie, poured by mistake and graciously gifted our way. We're pretty basic beer drinkers with a millennial love of IPAs, and a particular fondness for the hazy IPAs that have proliferated over over the last several years. These IPAs were all delicious, but so were the others. It was fun to try a few different styles. Even some of the IPAs were new to us, and we've been drinking Stone IPAs for many years. We took a couple of beers to go--19.2 oz cans of the Delicious Hazy and Fear.Movie.Lions Double IPAs--and our total tab was around forty bucks, for a lot of beer and a tremendously pleasant hour and a half (we did also send some e-cash to Trey Hill, our toddler's new favorite musician). If you want a nice place to drink in Oceanside, I'd highly recommend the Stone Brewing Tap Room patio. read more

It's been a while since I have been here. I don't recall so much green covering from the trees which is nice and allows for more shade. The tap room has a nice outdoor space with a central fire pit and several tables all around. The beer menu is extensive and lots of options for everyone. They also sell non-alcoholic beverages that are pre bottled. My daughter enjoyed the lemonade. I had the Mexican lime lager which was perfect for postpartum. They are well known for their IPAs, and lots to choose from. They used to have food vendors on the weekends and I recall the Ethiopian vendor being the bomb. I'm not sure they still do that but it was good. Parking during the week isn't too bad with the exception of Thursday evenings because several streets are blocked off for the sunset market. Weekends can be tricky too because of beach goers. read more
