We frequent this brewery at least once a month. Specifically it's to meet up with some of our local friends. We've made a few new ones here as well. The service is always kind and prompt and the place kept nice and clean. The open floor plan is great and the additional patio space is nice too. The brews are ever changing and they let you try a splash before making your choice. They do flights and generous regular pours. There is usually a column of categories on the menu. With a few selections of Ie light/pale, iPA, sour, and sometimes stouts etc. My last choice was Hill Street Honey since I much prefer a lighter brews when I do have a beer. We stopped in for a beer since we were in the area and were over at Vigilante coffee next door. It's a very chill brewery that is dog friendly (I wish I brought my dogs along). They had a nice selection of beer, seltzer, and a sour to choose from. I almost got the Mai Tai sour beer, but asked for a sample first. It was decent, but sadly not the kind of sour I was hoping for. So I ended up trying a sample of the Salted Caramel Stout, which was good but I didn't get a whole lot of salted caramel, just a roasted malt flavor. My husband ordered a pilsner that was tasty and he enjoyed it. We will be back to try more other beers. read more

This is quite the happening brewery. They've got seating inside and out. On the Friday night we visited, it was packed with quite the eclectic mix: young people, not so young people, babies (really), and canines. Everyone was friendly and having a good time. My salted caramel porter was very dark and heavy but I detected no salt or caramel. On the other hand, the Horne St. hazy IPA was tropical, fruity, and bursting with flavor. I'm not an IPA guy at all but this was a terrific beer. They have food vendors all the time (as far as I can tell, every night they are open). The website doesn't show the calendar for the food vendors but check IG to see what is up. Plenty of free parking in the lot and on the street, if necessary. read more

We moved over to South O after an afternoon working at Vigilante Coffee next door. The entire front of this brewery is open and airy. There's a lot of good seating and chill music playing. We had the chocolate milk stout and a sour called "The Strand". The stout was pretty good but a little more hoppy that I like a stout to be. I don't really like hops that much (I know, I'm the only one) so I try to avoid beers with too much hops. The sour was pretty good and enjoyed by R. She's had lots of sours and really liked this one. One reason we came over was because they have some snacks but also a different food truck every night. On the night we went it was Bertos & Odinas Nicaraguan-American food. This place is pretty chill and first we really seen the burger spot that popped up in the front called Copper King Burgers. The brewery is very clean and modern looking. We came from Vista that day and wanted to come chill on the coast in the sun and eat outside but the sun was hiding in Oside I guess. I put on a hoodie and we had the best brew n burgers. I told the bartender that I loved lights and blondes. I forgot what she recommended but we had some IPA's as well. Graveshouse it was the most popular. I've been wanting to try this place for a few months after I heard about it opening, but hadn't found the time to make it over. We finally came over after work on Friday afternoon. The positives: A cool location next to a great coffee shop and within walking distance of some other places in South O. The beer is varied and is good. Lots of solid selections. The inside is modern looking with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The only negative is that there is no AC and we came during a heat wave. Outside was cooler than inside. A big thank you go out to the men working in this establishment. Trent was a great host that deserve's acknowledgement and recognition. Upon my arrival he greeted me with a smile and welcome home it felt, that alone alway's leave's a positive impression. I was on an evening cruise downtown oceanside along coast highway when i took notice of the building's ambiance. Wide open door's that welcome you in which give the feel of fresh air circulating alway's does it for me. Toward's the entrance there is a patio that smoothly merge's with the inside of the place which as iv'e mentioned just give's it a very free and open vibe to it. Once inside you have a wide view of the beer selection for your enjoyment, pretty good variety as far as i could tell. Unfortunately i did not try any of their food which by the way they prepare it outside a grill under a canopy. Not sure if that's the norm but this particular day it was. I'm not apposed to the idea, if the food is delicious guess it doesn't matter. Beside's, it smelled delicious so even coming in close proximity to the place the smell alone is enticing enough to bring you in. I'd also like to mention the Place was spotless which Mike made sure it was up to standard. I alway's appreciate hard working people so thank you Mike for the excellent job! all in all the experience was enough to come for more. Let me start off by saying--I love the location of this brewery. I love the staff at this brewery. I love that it is dog and kid (for the most part) friendly. Food carts--wonderful. Vibes--perfection. But this review is a plea to please bring back LIGHT, crisp, delicious beers to South O. We welcome a new face in O'side, and I want to love the new(ish) brew master here but for the love of god, stop giving us 508 different variations of an IPA and give us something easy and delicious to drink. Slamms was the best beer to touch north county (seriously I'd drink it every day) and if it doesn't come back to South O asap I may never come here again. A kolsh? A Pilsner? A blonde?
