Wow!! These guys and gals really know what's up. Amazing employees like Trevor treat you like an old friend, and the beers are top of the class. I love their barrel aged beers, sooo well done!!! Great food as well to round out the perfect experience!! Stay thirsty my friends & Happy Holidays!!!!

Cool little brewery where you can enjoy a drink with your best friend. I'm not a big beer drinker, but I really really enjoyed their sour beer. We were visiting Oceanside for the weekend, and we went two days in a row! Bonus, they had food vendors both days.

Decent size brewery. $10 for a flight of four 5oz beers. Not bad at all. Located off the hwy with a slight ocean view.

We frequent this brewery at least once a month. Specifically it's to meet up with some of our local friends. We've made a few new ones here as well. The service is always kind and prompt and the place kept nice and clean. The open floor plan is great and the additional patio space is nice too. The brews are ever changing and they let you try a splash before making your choice. They do flights and generous regular pours. There is usually a column of categories on the menu. With a few selections of Ie light/pale, iPA, sour, and sometimes stouts etc. My last choice was Hill Street Honey since I much prefer a lighter brews when I do have a beer. It's on nitro so a little settling time is needed before consumption and then it's good to go! The foam was sweet. Cya next month! Don't forget to bring your toy for tots donation! Cheers!

We stopped in for a beer since we were in the area and were over at Vigilante coffee next door. It's a very chill brewery that is dog friendly (I wish I brought my dogs along). They had a nice selection of beer, seltzer, and a sour to choose from. I almost got the Mai Tai sour beer, but asked for a sample first. It was decent, but sadly not the kind of sour I was hoping for. So I ended up trying a sample of the Salted Caramel Stout, which was good but I didn't get a whole lot of salted caramel, just a roasted malt flavor. My husband ordered a pilsner that was tasty and he enjoyed it. We will be back to try more other beers.

We love South O - it's easily our most visited brewery. There hasn't been a single disappointing beer or experience here. We loved the vibes before we had a baby, and have also found it to be an incredibly baby or dog friendly spot. Service is always incredible, and the rotation of food trucks they have visiting is always awesome.

This is quite the happening brewery. They've got seating inside and out. On the Friday night we visited, it was packed with quite the eclectic mix: young people, not so young people, babies (really), and canines. Everyone was friendly and having a good time. My salted caramel porter was very dark and heavy but I detected no salt or caramel. On the other hand, the Horne St. hazy IPA was tropical, fruity, and bursting with flavor. I'm not an IPA guy at all but this was a terrific beer. They have food vendors all the time (as far as I can tell, every night they are open). The website doesn't show the calendar for the food vendors but check IG to see what is up. Plenty of free parking in the lot and on the street, if necessary.

Fruit and lager.

I've heard so much about this place and we finally made it. Perfect spot, amazing environment and a list of really good beers. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have great food vendors. Will be definitely coming back for a cold fresh beer in the perfectly warm summer in Oceanside. Very recommended. (Dog friendly)

Beers that everyone can like. Great atmosphere and great service. They have a food truck lined up most days of the week. And coffee next door. Dog and kid friendly. Clean space.

Charlene M.

Such a great place. Friendly staff and fun things to do at night......trivia and bingo. Great choice of beers even for me, the non-IPA drinker.

Docent has a large selection of beers on tap and staff is very knowledgeable about the beers. There's inside and outside seating available. We were hungry so we decided to order two sandwiches and both were excellent. The kimchi Reuben was a fun play on a classic, but the fried chicken sandwich stole the show. Both entrees were hearty and filling, and the fries and tots were a great addition as well.

The beer is good, too, if that matters, after all that. Park for free on the street or in the free City lot directly across from the brewery. The place is much bigger than it looks, with seating inside, a large back patio, and seating along the side patio. The menu offers far more food selections than just about any brewery anywhere and you will quickly notice the Korean influence on the menu. Everything we tried was excellent. The tacos are big and delicious (I preferred the pastor taco over the birria one). The Docent Bowl was incredibly fresh and probably healthy (don't miss the excellent housemade kimchi), and the chicken salad sandwich with tots on the side was delightful. This is real restaurant food and it is very good. The beers are served in these gorgeous goblets and they do flights with very generous pours. I liked all of the beers I tried, especially the darker and boozier ones. When your food order is ready, you receive a text, and then head to the back left side of the rear patio, where the kitchen is located. A small sign here would be helpful because I have to admit I wandered around for a bit looking for the food pickup spot. All of the employees we encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. This is a sign of a business that cares about its workers so thumbs up. Kid friendly, good music on the sound system, plenty of seating, good beer, great food, and free parking. I'm a fan.

Get the meatball sandwich…read more Omg and the meatball parm fries. This place is so chill and has the best atmosphere for watching games or playing cards (all afternoon). A pretty good bargain on breakfast as well.

I was soooo excited about the Philly connection, as I'm very familiar with cheesesteaks having lived near Philly in a past life. Well, I was sorely disappointed. We were told that the bread is flown in daily from Philly. Well, I don't know where it's coming from because it's definitely not the same bread as what they normally use there. The sandwich and meat were dry and flavorless. Totally underwhelming unfortunately. So then we saw that they made key lime pie there too! Again, I was SUPER excited because key lime pie is my favorite dessert of all time. And again...disappointment. I took one glance and saw that it was light green in color and knew I was gonna be mad. Yall, Key lime pie is yellow. You should NEVER add food coloring. That's just gross and inaccurate. The texture and flavor were also off. Texturally it was way too thick and dense, which would have been fine if it actually tasted like key lime. But it was severely lacking in that tart key lime flavor that it's known for. I'd definitely go back because of the service and vibe. But I'll maybe try a burger and the cheesecake instead.

There's plenty of options in the area but what caught our eye, Park101's decked out for the World Cup games. "Let's go!" Parking? No parking lot of its own. You'll look for street or if looping isnt your thing, parking is available in the plaza across the street. What's the 411? Park101 is an order and pay at counter first. You'll get a number, find a seat and they'll bring the food to you. They have a nice courtyard. Plenty of TV's. We got in just before 3pm on a Tuesday and we had pretty much any table to choose from. We grabbed a seat in the shade and after 4 rounds of drinks and a 96 minutes of World Cup soccer we were set! I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. I've been to Philly, had some of the best by way of locals in Philly. Park101 is more of a Torta vibe. To call this a Philly sets certain expectations and this, although a good sandwich, is not a Philly. Overall, Park101 hits the spot. Great place to enjoy some food and libations, under the California skies. Catch a game and hang out.

The majority of the outdoor seating downstairs was in direct sun, compared to the upper deck that had a bunch of umbrellas. I assume this was because they didn't want to block the large TVs. They also have some indoor seating and a small bar downstairs. This appeared to be a very popular place for watching sporting events. You order food before you enter and drinks at the bar past the host stand. Food was decent. My husband got the fish and chips and it was a very generous portion of 5 large pieces of battered fish with fries. I got the tri tip arugula salad and made it into a wrap, which was ok. The tri tip was pretty subtle. We got our son the kids cheeseburger and while it looked really good, I was surprised that they would put pickles, mustard, and thousand island dressing on a kids burger. There were two cheeseburger patties on it, but just unfortunate with the toppings as a lot of kids are picky with sauces. The fries were seasoned well and crispy.
