The ambiance was incredibly warm, beachy, and romantic- perfect for a date night or girl's night. A truly beautiful space with an equally impressive menu! The entire night was filled with good bites only! To break it down: Seasonal Spritz: This was a sparkling wine with ginger, white peach, and citrus. So bright and refreshing! Honestly, my ideal spritz. Crudo: Highly recommend this starter! It featured thick cuts of yellowtail, watermelon, cucumber, ginger, thai chili, and thai basil. Really clean and fresh. I was surprised by the amount of fish we got! Local Catch: Another winner. This was roasted yellowtail with summer bean, tomato ragout, and Jimmy Nardello peppers. Absolutely no notes! Rigatoni: Our standout dish of the night! It featured summer squash, saffron butter squash blossoms, blistered tomatoes, and parmesan. I'm not usually a fan of cream based pastas, but this one blew me away. The veggies really brightened things up and I felt like I could eat plates and plates of this. If you get one thing, please let it be this! Since we mentioned in the res that we were celebrating, they brought out complementary champagne at the start of the meal. Loved that they treated us to cheeky little drinks- we're not the biggest fan of sweets!

The restaurant has a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The bar has a super chill vibe. The bar tender and wait staff is super friendly. They are all very knowledgeable about the wide selection of wines. The bar specializes in natural wines. With a huge variety of reds and whites. On top of that there is a small but varied and delicious menu of foods that goes from small snacks to more substantial pastas and fish. We tried the crisp, the rigatoni and the local catch. The crudo was light and fresh and the passion fruit oil was amazing and unique. The rigatoni was buttery and flavorful but surprisingly light. The local catch is light but substantial enough to complete the meal. The tomato sauce was delicate and sweet. Use the bread and butter to soak up the sauces or enjoy it on its own. Overall, the little victory wine bar is worth a stop!

We went for some drinks and something to eat after an event and it was the perfect place to wind down, listen to some great music and just enjoy yourself and your company. We had the charcuterie board with meat and it was perfect. There were a lot of different meats and cheeses I thoroughly enjoyed and a perfect accompaniment to the drinks, which was my main focus. I had the Exotica '58 Tiki and my gf had the Midnight Driver. Both were delicious and potent and looked incredible (see pic). We will definitely be back here but next time we might bring some folks to join the vibe... or maybe not. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the host (I forgot his name, but it starts with a V?). Super friendly and helped all of us feel at home; Would occasionally check-in to make sure our needs were taken care of too. Sometimes you walk into bars and deal with judgy/pretentious people or service workers and we didn't get that impression at all from any of the staff here. My girlies and I ended up sitting in the outside area, which honestly was a great choice due to the humid weather AND we got a great view of the beach sunset. It's a bit stuffy (when it's hot), but still nice inside the establishment. We also ordered some drinks and tiramisu to make the most of our time there. Overall, Sound By The Sea is a great spot to catch-up and unwind during one of those longer summer nights (cue the Summer Nights song by Lil Rob lol). I hope you also enjoy the same fun experience my friends and I shared yesterday. Thank you. :-)

My husband and I stopped in to Frankie's on a recent Saturday at 5pm. Our kiddo had a performance down the street at 6pm so we had a little time to kill beforehand. The neighboring spots looked busy so we decided to go with Frankie's, seeing as they were less inundated at the time and we had a time constraint. Another allure was the sandwich board at the front door advertising discounted cocktails - sold!! Inside there were a handful of patrons at the bar, another table with two additional patrons and maybe a couple on the patio so it was fairly quiet and slow, so it looked promising. We headed up to the bar and hung out behind two empty barstools, the single female bartender greeted us and said she'd be right with us, but then continued chatting up the seated patrons, serving them and their friends that had just joined (AFTER we'd arrived). We moved a little further down to the handoff area where she was making drinks to save her having to come back to us again, and stood there for probably 10 minutes while she took orders and made all the drinks. We commented that she looked like she could definitely use a hand, and she said they were still adjusting into summer hours and determining whether more coverage was needed at this time - I figured 5pm on a Saturday should be primetime, so I'm not sure in what universe having a single bartender makes any sense. Finally we placed our cocktail orders, waited while they were made, and then put our card down for the tab. After we'd paid, I noticed the cocktails were more expensive than advertised on the sandwich board out front - I couldn't find a disclaimer anywhere that said only certain cocktails were included, so while it was a bummer I wasn't about to wait another 10-15 minutes to catch her attention and ask for clarification. Just a heads up to beware of whatever is advertised that might summon you in from the sidewalk, and make sure you ask before you make your selection. Drinks were very subpar, nothing special to write home about. While I can appreciate the Gatsby-esque vibe they're trying to uphold at Frankie's, they really should increase their staffing especially during prime weekend and evening hours, and be more transparent about their specials and what's included and what's not. Hindsight is 20/20, and the low volume of patrons when everything else around it was going off was probably a sign, so we'll skip Frankie's our next go around.

Pretty Good! We bought a Groupon here ages ago, and let it expire. I had called back then, knowing…read morethe expiration was coming up and we were not going to make it in in time, but was told that they would not honor the deal price, just the purchase price. So I was totally irritated and boycotted this place. My anger subsided 2 years later and we went in. Sat at the bar, our bartender was slammed, apparently a group of like 20 just walked in ahead of us. We told her to chill, we are easy, we're not complainers (unless you really, really fuck up!) The bread is excellent. I thought I remembered them having lame hard breadsticks. No, they have really, really amazing bread. We ordered Calamari as well, and then ordered an extra side of the Calamari sauce to dip the bread into. Was only a dollar! Amazing sauce, like a vodka sauce sort of. We also got the Chicken Fantasia, and the Eggplant Florentine. SO GOOD. Both. I wanted to eat them both myself. My boytoy is Italian and super picky with Italian food. Apparently no one can make it as good as his Grandmother. It's like I live on the set of the fucking Sporano's sometimes, honestly. He's the Christopher, which would make me the Adriana. Anyways, he liked everything too. We will be back, I actually have one more expired Groupon to use at Dominic's next door, which is the same place. They gave me no hassle with taking off the purchase price of the groupon off the bill. I was ready for a fight. Manager did it as soon as she asked, no hassle whatsover. Only thing I don't love is the bathroom, it's like in the storage area or something? Not very nice. But it's the beach, real estate is limited.

Bottlecraft has several locations, but we have both agreed that the Oceanside location is our favorite. Bottlecraft is a bottle shop and tasting room - This means that you can taste a variety of beers, which taps continuously rotating - then pick up cans of your faves.. or try brand new cans to bring home. We love to grab a spot at the bar {typically to watch whatever sporting event is on TV}, or on the back outdoor patio space if we come with a group. When seated at the bar area, you can also chat with the amazing beertenders and ask for their recommendations if you're unsure what to try {I will always recommend a good Hazy or Double IPA}. The team here is always on point - Providing fantastic service as well as friendly conversation while you enjoy your brews! Not a beer drinker?! Hard Kombucha, Cider, Wine and Non-Alcoholic options are available - There is something for everyone! While enjoying your brews, if hunger hits, visit Shootz Fish & Beer - This is a stellar food spot tucked in the corner as you enter the shop. Do not skip out on the Potato Taco!
