    Strawberry Chocolate Chip Pancakes
    Elisa N.

NAKED CAFE @ CARLSBAD My boyfriend raves about this place so many times, and I mean so much that he brought me here to try! We got seated fairly quickly on a sunday morning, and it was pretty busy, but they have tables inside and outside. We ended up getting lots of things, the Green Heart Quesadilla, Bacon & Avocado Toast, Strawberry Chocolate Chips Pancakes, and a large Hot Cocoa. I have no words, because this has fully turned me into a breakfast person, because I need this every day! Each dish was so delicious, I really enjoy the Bacon and Avocado toast, as it was smeared with this delicious pesto spread, and had potatoes on the side. The crunchy bacon was fantastic, and having the sweet strawberry chocolate chip pancakes were fantastic. I wish there was a bit more strawberry in the pancakes however. The hot cocoa is a MUST, if you're a fan, it's a huge cup that looks like it's over the top full, and with a large amount of whip cream, it just melts in your mouth. I also tried my boyfriend Green Heart Quesadilla and WOW, this was fantastic as well, also has that creamy pesto spread in it. Overall, we really enjoyed the environment, the waiter was kind, and the art around the store was pleasant to see of artists (the art is also for sale!) Parking is a massacre, it's a large complex with limited room, so I'd definitely recommend doing street parking or just be aware you might be waiting!

"Naked in the rain with black tattoos Runnin' through the woods laughing at the blues" (Red Hot Chili Peppers) The Naked Café offers an amazing menu of healthy foods, grains, robust herbs and spices, and fresh produce reimagined into fantastic dishes. They have six pancake dishes that include bananas, almonds, raisins, granola, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, coconut, mangos, and chocolate chips. Burritos, egg dishes, quesadillas, hash, French toast, soups, wraps, bowls, and tacos also appear on the menu. We stopped in for lunch, sat on their outdoor terrace, and ordered the Fuzzy Monkey Pancakes ($12.50 for three) and a Wok Bowl with Tofu ($14.50 + $3.50). The pancakes were great, loaded with sliced bananas, almonds, raisins, and granola. The bottle of agave syrup on the table really enhanced the sweetness of the pancakes. My Wok Bowl was fantastic. Imagine a big bowl of brown rice, broccoli, zucchini, lotus root, carrots, celery, striped beets, glazed shiitake mushrooms, and a sesame ginger dressing. I added some tofu cubes as an add-on. The flavor was so good, and all of the ingredients really worked well together. I liked the Bohemian - hippie vibe of the place and some of the far out spacey names of their dishes - like Tree Hugger Pancakes, Good Karma, Plate of Prosperity, Rising Sun Quesadilla, and Solstice Burritos. This was a solid lunch stop for us.

I really enjoyed my brunch here today! It was pretty busy but they had some empty tables outdoor and indoor. We decided to opt for indoor seating and I loved the ocean aesthetic/inviting ambiance inside. However, we ended up waiting over twenty minutes for our food. The Naked Cafe has lots of healthy and gluten-free options to choose from :) I ordered the buff burrito and it was so delicious. I wish they gave me more potatoes though.

The food was really fresh and fast. Super healthy and tasty. The server was extremely patient while we chose and super calm. This bowl always speaks to me because I can't resist the lotus root!

It's been awhile since I've been here. Everyone is pretty nice, especially the one who served me. I got a Togo order. I got the sunshine latte, which was super tasty and refreshing. I also got the Thai chicken wrap with a salad & salsa. It was surprisingly really good. Idk why I thought I wouldn't like it. I have a hard time making decisions sometimes and I like to try new food. They have plenty of tables inside & outside. I think they are still very busy in the mornings. I remember having to wait to have breakfast the last time I was here. Always a good and delicious time here.

Such a cute cozy place! We sat outside and enjoyed people watching along with the fresh sea breeze. Our waitress was very attentive even though we were outside. My friend and I shared a dish and added one blueberry pancake! Perfect serving size for two. The gingerbread chai latte was delish if you're feeling something sweet. Give this place a try if you're in the area!

Amazing gluten and dairy free options (and vegan/vegetarian too)! Love just doing a few of the sides for an inexpensive, healthy meal. Service was on point, vibes were great!

Always enjoy our visits to Naked Cafe. From the ambience, to the wide range of menu items to the friendly and attentive service, it is always a pleasure. Our party of three arrived mid-morning on a Saturday and were immediately seated inside. We received our drinks quickly, had a lag before our order was taken and then received our food very quickly. Our server was fin, friendly and helpful. While waiting, we loved the fresh air and view of Solana's Fletcher Park across the street. Amazing location. Our entrees were all delicious. We love the vegetarian and vegan choices with options to add protein that's animal-based. Baked Cafe is a Solana Beach foundational restaurant for a good reason; they know how to please the palettes of their guests.

Darn I forgot the picture I order eggs with pesto it was in a bowl with potatoes, black beans and corn very flavorful and a lot of it. We also had blueberry pancakes which was good. The service a little slow but it was good very played back enjoying the people and dogs while sitting outside.

We were in the area and looking for a place to enjoy brunch. Found this hidden gem! Ava was our server and she was very kind and welcoming. We ordered the following entrees... Harmony- rosemary potatoes, pepper jack cheese, organic quinoa, egg whites, bacon, roasted poblanos, tomato, avocado, chipotle crema, salsa verde on the side Good Karma - egg whites, brown rice, broccoli, zucchini with added avocado and bacon Transcendence Wrap - grilled organic tofu, avocado, thai peanut sauce, sriracha, basil, green onion, tomato, spinach wrap, side of organic quinoa + an organic baby greens salad All were delicious and healthy. I like the fresh ingredients and would definitely recommend this place! My experience here was wonderful and I look forward to trying other entrees!!

The restaurant is in a nice little shopping center, but the overall experience didn't live up to the price or expectations. I ordered the crispy vegan burrito, it came with two burritos, but one was noticeably smaller than the other. The flavor was just okay. I also got a side of potatoes, which were completely bland and unseasoned. My boyfriend ordered the same burrito but asked for chips and salsa instead of potatoes. He only received the salsa that comes with the burrito, so it was unclear if they forgot or that's just how they serve it. We were told the food would be ready in 10-15 minutes, so we left and came back after 10. When we returned, we had to wait another 5 minutes, even though I saw our bag had already been sitting there when we arrived. I also ordered pancakes, but they never made it into the order seemed like they were just ignored entirely. Since it was a to-go order, we didn't notice until we left, and by then it didn't feel worth going back. Between the high prices, small portions, bland sides, and order issues, it just wasn't worth it. Probably wouldn't return.

    Steak Tenderloin Hash
    Leona W.

The ambiance is great, we sat outdoor and there's a patio table umbrella so it wasn't too hot. The food is 3.5/5. I like the steak tenderloin, it is soft and cooked well. However the buff burrito is not that good as the chicken in it is bland and not seasoned well. I ordered the naked matcha latte hot and it's pretty smooth and sweet. It is on the sweeter side. Host service is great but our server is a little bit rude, kinda rushing us to pay maybe it's a busy weekend. Other than that the vibes are good and a good place to enjoy with family and friends! I think it's a good place to try.

As usual Naked Cafe was incredible this year. We talk about coming back to eat here when on vacation all year long. We came on a Sunday morning and the service was still incredible, we've never not once had an issue with their service. Food and drinks were all great again from sweet vanilla chai to different iced teas, blueberry pancakes huevos rancheros etc, we are never disappointed and always come back and leave happy!

I would say they have a great business model and have cool merch and crazy cool art and stuff but the drinks weren't anything special like what we expected. My wife got the matcha latte with honey and it was not well made. Seems like they feel more is better when it comes to putting matcha in the drink. More is not better. It just makes the matcha taste like grass. Ground powdered matcha is basically a concentrate and needs to be treated that way. Had my review been just on her drink it would be a one star. Her drink is exactly why a lot of people say matcha is not good. A well made matcha should be delicious. I got a vanilla latte and it was just okay. Tasted fine but wasn't anything that would have me wanted to come back for more. I do have to give it to them for the latte artwork as they do great on that. But the drink was just okay. We also got an heirloom blueberry and corn scone which was good but the corn makes it a bit gritty like corn bread, which I like although it could throw someone off if they are not expecting it. The other pastries all looked pretty good and we saw some breakfast sandwiches coming out that did look good too.
