Who would've thought with a name like "Crackheads" it would be the most popular place to go to in downtown Cbad. I'm from MD and don't think it would be as popular. I wanted to really like this outdoor spot with a deck so you can overlook everything except the beach. But, the staff and service got me questioning BIG TIME over a lovely cocktail...should I go back to this crackchaos? Honestly, this place isn't what it's cracked up to be.

My son has a tree nut allergy and this restaurant proved to be very allergy aware and very helpful. They only have a few products that were processed in a facility with tree nuts. We enjoyed the tater tot bowl for the kids and breakfast burrito with two flat whites for the grown ups. 10/10 would come again!

Nice outdoor bar with a unique container-style setup and a great atmosphere. There's an upstairs area, a turf space with picnic tables downstairs, and plenty of seating at the bar. The drinks are solid, and it's pet-friendly, which makes it even better. We haven't tried the food yet, but it seems really popular with other guests.

Good spot for breakfast or brunch! We tried the Egg sandwiches and burrito. Both were tasty and freshly made. Service was good. There's only outdoor seating available. 2 restrooms available. Parking was on the street and it can be hard to find a spot.

The rooftop patio was full, but we found a high top for our party of 4. Ordered drinks at the bar and relaxed. Would like to come back to try the breakfast sandwich

Always great to come here, this time had the crackhead sandwich with tots! The medium egg gushing out was so good :) Also I think they have the best mozzarella sticks I have had!

I would give the food here a 3/5, but the location, vibes, and service were 5/5! I got the crack burger, which was okay but I don't think the ingredients blended very well together. I'm a lover of burgers with an egg inside, but this one didn't mesh well with the rest of the burger. We also tried the mini corn dogs and breakfast tots. They both were pretty good! The tots were so loaded that they were a bit soggy and didn't have that crunch to them. My boyfriend got the spice girl breakfast sandwich and I think I would recommend that one over all others. They have a nice outdoor area which is dog friendly. We brought our dog and she loved it there!

We came here for breakfast! What an excellent choice! We sat at the rooftop. Nice view of the city. I ordered the avocado toast. It was so good! I also ordered a cocktail called cracksicle. It was very good. My brother in law ordered a breakfast burrito and my sister got a breakfast sandwich. The food was excellent. Our server was very attentive. The service was great! I would definitely comeback for breakfast.

Fun spot for some drinks! I love the vibes, very trendy and a popular Carlsbad local spot. They have a couple of yummy bites, but crackheads is known for their drinks and being a fun spot! Bartenders are hard works and very efficient! They give great recs, and want everybody to have a fun time. You can stay here for 20 mins or for 3 hours!

We needed a quick breakfast on our way out of town to the airport and were in the mood for a breakfast sandwich and a place open early so we picked this place. I should have taken photos of the ambiance because it's a really cool 2-story outdoor place (bar by night). My only complaint is that they don't have a menu available. When asked if they have a menu, the employee said "go to crackheads.com." No QR code, even? I got the breakfast sandwich with the chives. It was perfection. The sauce was delicious, bacon was perfectly crispy and the eggs were soft scrambled deliciousness. The hubs got the Wilbur, which he said the fennel sausage was delicious. Worth a visit!

This is a fun little bar in Carlsbad village. There's a great bar seating area downstairs, dog friendly, and open to the beautiful weather. All seating is outside, no inside seating. The rooftop deck seating area has a quirky, two horse trailer (I think it's an additional bar), and views of the local area. If it gets chilly, there are several propane heaters to keep you warm, although...it would be nice if they offered blankets (I've been to several bars that do this, and it's an awesome concept). This place offers food, but I simply wanted a fun place to sit, watch the sunset, and have a lovely cocktail. All-in-all this place is a fun, family friendly place to enjoy the company of good people, and enjoy some delicious libations. Ambiance: casual Service: excellent Cleanliness: clean Reservations: none Outdoor seating only

I AM ONE WITHOUT A LATTE (4 stars) - DRINKS: yum - PRICE: fair - SERVICE: friendly - AMBIANCE: outdoor and cute I came here because of the sign. Walking around Carlsbad one bright early weekend morning and saw this and had to order something to say I ordered something! Did you know they use Copa Vida beans for their espresso! Now you know. By the way I love Copa Vida beans. I didn't know either until u saw them pouring beans out from a Copa Vida bag. DECAF VANILLA LATTE - The barista wasn't sure about the decaf beans being Swiss Water Processed but I know Copa Vida doesn't use harsh chemicals to decaf their beans. In fact, they do Mountain Water Processed IS CHEMICAL-FREE. So yes, Copa Vida has clean decaf beans. How do I know this stuff? I been obsessed with decaf for decades now. DOG TREATS - my little fur ball was with me and she was able to get free treats from Ceackheads. They create their own dog treats (and sell them) and my dog was able to sample them and she loved them! Will def be back when in the area. Until the next review...

My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary and it was amazing! Don't let the…read moresmall menu fool you - every single thing we ate was delicious! FOOD: - hot potatoes: has a pickled radish and some sort of crème sauce that was so good - these were my husband's favorite. - chicken satay: It came with pickled cucumber (think when it's cucumber kimchi, but it wasn't a kimchi type of marinade). The peanut sauce had a little spice (if you don't have any spice tolerance I would avoid the sauce, but it was sooo good). This was my favorite. - khao soi curry (has egg noodles) and that was delicious. We added the brisket to it which was a good add. My husband ate his so fast and I had to make him not take any more so we could have leftovers! DRINKS: - we got complimentary champagne for our anniversary which was so so sweet of them and made our night! The champagne itself was actually one of the best champagnes I have had. It had a nice sweetness to it. - my husband had the thai lager, which he said was okay. It tasted like most lagers he's had. - we shared the tangerine you are my sex machine as it sounded interesting and i do have to say this was the only thing we weren't big fans of. it was very smokey, but my husband put "old boat motor" in my head and that's all we could taste. if you love smokey drinks this would be for you. - I had a house cocktail that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me, but it was sweet, peachy (I think) and had champagne in it from what I remember. It was so good and would get it again! The vibe inside the restaurant was cool and there are over 30 tigers (our server counted for us, but she said she couldn't even find them all). The bathrooms were cute and very clean. 10/10 recommend. The check even came in a romance novel!

I think everything really complimented each other well from the music to the art to the menu, it was great! Our server was nice as we were indecisive with even such a small menu, we had a hard time. The drinks were good and strong, unique and creative. Which I guess when you're going out and want to stay on theme, it works. We had the coconut broth hamachi which was so lip-smackingly addictive with those wonton chips! I would come back just for that dish! The chicken satay skewers were also delicious and the sauce that came with it was a good mix of sweet, savory, spicy and salty. I do think from there it was kind of just okay? I got the half fried chicken which smelled a fish sauce glaze and that's what I went in expecting but there was no punch of that fish sauce flavor you know? It needed a bit more pop. BF got the pork belly banh mi bowl which I guess in theory why would you get that at a Thai place? But the pork belly was hard and firm, not as you'd expect it to be which was dissapointing. Our friends got the Khao Soi which was delicious I do have to say and the Panang with Brisket. I think it was cool to try but im just stuck in my ways and prefer the ole mom and pop down the road with more options. But its fun for a night out!

It's far too small to dance unless you're slow or maybe 2 stepping in the corner. The ambiance is dim, relaxed, fun. The drinks are just as good as some of the top bars around, helmed by Wyatt who you may remember from Switchboard and KNVS is a staple in Oceanside. Prices are excellent, staff is great. While you can get a cocktail here, you don't have to. A classic shot and a beer is just as likely to be had here as a stemmed glass proper cocktail. When it's jamming it is near a standing room all the way around. No doorman asking for a password, no re-entry on nights when Heritage are open (Monday is this exception). I loved my blt. The two Caesar salads for the table disappeared quickly because their dressing is unbelievable! Let's see .... what didn't we eat is probably smarter than what did we eat. Beet ketchup, The C Word (braised cabbage), a couple of cronic sushi rolls, and there was a special lemon creme brûlée. Freshly harvested from the garden, I tried the panko crusted charcoal roasted eggplant - it was beautiful, delicious, creative and everything wonderful packed into a dish. It was topped with a very unique, naturally salty plant called the asparagus of the sea (I've literally never had it anywhere else besides here). I also tried the c word (which is wine braised cabbage), the beet ruben sandwich, and the mushroom toast. Everything was SO GOOD! The service is also on another level. Music was good, DJs were good, but the whole vibe of the place is kinda everywhere. This lighting in this place needs to be more dimmed. DJs are spinning right in the middle of the room, and there's a clothes rack just chilling against the wall. The baristas are way in the back, and you can't really tell who works there. It took equally as long to get the check as it did to get my drinks. We only had 1 round of drinks. I dunno, waiting for canned drinks just threw me off.
